The female lead lives with multiple people.
With the help of the people around her, the female leads do learn to be happy and find a place of acceptance.
Cat Street is a bit darker than Atashinchi no Danshi but AND is better written. But both are pretty good in their own right.

-similar premise of hikikomori trying to re-enter back into society while inspiring others.
-Cat Street has a group of students who go to an alternative school because of the same issues presented in Hikikomori Sensei.

Both are about a female lead who withdraws from society due to traumatic moments from her past.
