Sekiguchi Gotaro and Fujise Yuri are newspaper reporters. They wrote an incorrect report about a serial kidnapping/murder case. Due to their mistake, Sekiguchi was demoted to a branch office and Fujise was placed on probation. Seven years later, Sekiguchi works at the newspaper's Saitama branch. He is training rookie reporter Okada Shota. Sekiguchi still chases the serial kidnapping/murder case from his past. Two new kidnappings take place. The victims are girls.
