AS ADDICTIVE AS ALCHOLIC
This drama was really alcoholic as I finished this drama in 4 days whereas for other dramas I would finish between 7-12 days. This drama is really worthwhile cuz when I go to sleep I think what will happen and etc ... and I really liked the cast, and storyline.I got excited in nearly every episode. The food made in the drama looks yummy and I wish I could eat them. The food is so delicious 😋 . Really recommend this drama to food lovers. 🍜 🥗🍗Was this review helpful to you?
There's nothing especially bad about the plot, but there's nothing really good either. There is such a mishmash of elements in this show it feels like the writer just threw a bunch of plot points together. "Do we want it to be about a girl's relationship with her horse? Ok, but only for a couple episodes. Now it'll focus on learning to cook with a gangster plotline in the background. Then we're going to focus on the ML being a jerk. Then a little bit of love triangle, then random side stories of cooks who work in the kitchen, then some gangster fights in the kitchen." On and on, that's basically the show.
I can't write a much more elaborate review than that because there's not much more to this show, and honestly it was so meh overall that I don't have the desire. Junho himself did great with what he had to work with as always, and the few opportunities he was given to show some chemistry with FL were done well between them. I hope he leaves this one in the past and continues to choose better projects from now on (I'm optimistic since Just Between Lovers and The Red Sleeve).

Medium good, less effort
I think this is first kdrama I noticed a poor direction. I don’t know why they have portrayed ML and FL like jokers in the initial episodes. Of course both ML and FL are innocent and pure but it doesn’t mean that they must be immatured and a laughing material. To some extent FL character is good and she has done a good job but ML there is no development in his character. From starting to end he acts like a coward, and second FL I don’t know what happened to her after when she met ML in front of his hotel when he was severely wounded by her lover’s goons. She didn’t paid the price for her sins and for the SML it is open ended. In last few episodes no story at all, simply dragging by some unnecessary plots. So many loop holes, I didn’t knew that even in Korean dramas there exist such poor director’s.
I am only satisfied by FL’s and SML’s character and my rating is only for them

CHEMISTRY wow. skip everyone else
If you love rom coms and you're thinking of dropping this because of this horribly messy stories, don't. Wait till the couple get together because oh my gosh! If you like romance that makes you keep the remote close so you can skip everyone else and get back to the main couple, then you’ll probably really enjoy this drama. This is one of those love stories where the main leads completely carry the show, and every time they’re on screen together, everything just works. I went into this not expecting much, and it honestly surprised me by how hard I ended up falling for their relationship. This drama started off rough for me, but by the middle, it completely won me over — mostly because of the chemistry and how emotionally satisfying their connection became.
LIKES:
-Their chemistry. INSANE. Toe-curling, scream-into-a-pillow chemistry.
-The female lead’s naïve, carefree attitude and how she never takes herself too seriously.
-Her honesty and emotional openness — very refreshing.
-The male lead actor did an amazing job. Cold on the outside, absolute mush on the inside.
-Watching him fall for her around episode six was beautiful, especially after how badly he was treated by his ex.
-She sacrifices herself for him instead of being selfish, and that meant everything.
-Their connection felt natural and intense.
-The concept felt fresh, especially coming off My Sweet Mobster — very much in the same emotional lane.
-This went from a 7 to a 9 by episode 7 for me.
-NO breakup drama between the leads. YES.
-The ML is ALL man — the way he handled her and protected her was chef’s kiss.
-Loved how she didn’t let misunderstandings tear them apart.
-The male lead’s heart toward the second male lead and how respectful he tried to be.
-The second male lead actually had great potential with his own love interest.
-All the cooking, food, and restaurant world — I love seeing a new industry through a romance drama.
-His devotion. The way he pursued her parents and was willing to face consequences for her.
-Cold exterior, softest interior. My favorite trope.
DISLIKES:
-The casual attitude toward affairs and making light of marriage.
-stupid talking horse. why?why?
-this write ruined anymore drama for me with her bad writeming. almost happened here but I'm glad I stayed cause the Main Leads carried this.
-Episodes 1–3 were a COMPLETE mess. Sloppy storytelling and confusing character introductions. I had no idea what I was looking at.
-The mob characters were annoying and added nothing at first.
-The thug-and-his-mom storyline and all the ajumma antics were completely irrelevant.
-This should have been tighter. Cutting unnecessary side stories could’ve made this a perfect 12–16 episode drama.
This is one of those dramas where the main couple makes everything worth it. Yes, it’s messy. Yes, the beginning is rough. And yes, there are way too many unnecessary side plots. But the romance? The chemistry? The emotional payoff? Absolutely worth it.
If you’re watching for a deeply devoted male lead, insane chemistry, no breakup nonsense, and a romance that slowly sneaks up on you — this one delivers. I stayed for the love story, and I don’t regret it.

I like the drama a lot my only frustration is sometimes I find it too light-hearted for some of the issues or situations that come to light in the drama for example spoiler alert stop reading now >....................................in episode ten SEO pong finds out his wife had an abortion without telling him and they just brush over that so quickly and move on to the main couple of the drama which is so weird to me especially all the cheating that goes on with SEO pong and his ex-wife there are so many heavy problems that a rise and they deal with it in the most ridculous way which is what throws me off I like there quirky persnoalities and charms but not when its applied to some of the more dark problems in this drama its too wierd.
but so far the drama really good kept my attention came back wanting to know what happens next so in my book that's always good
and for those commenting about pre-reviews before the drama ends those review's help me decide whether or not I should watch a drama or not, or whether it's worth spending my time watching also. Review is an assessment of something anything and because anyone can do it everyone's idea or opinion of this drama, in this case, will be different not only that. A review can change an opinion can be changed because as people say the drama has not ended so there is still a lot of time for things to get better or worse.

Could do without the FL... very irritating
I have never seen any previous works of the 3 main characters but I am liking the 2 male leads. Honestly, they could have made this drama without the female lead. She has a pretty face and at times looks a bit like Park Min Young and Lee Ji Ah. But her character is so over the top for me.I am dropping this title simply because I cannot stand the FL. Cannot find one good thing about her acting. The character is too flawed. She's too easy, acts naive, thinks everything she does is cute.... well you get the idea. Totally sickening....
Would like to see more or Lee Jun Ho though. I think he has a lot of potential and can pair well with other leading ladies.
First time for me to drop a series purely because I got so irritated with the FL. They should have cast someone else. Better yet, removed her totally from the story

I started watching this because of Lee Jun Ho (who I love from Just Between Lovers) and Jeong Ryeo Won (from Which Star Are You From)...
After watching the first few episodes I can't stop laughing (especially the scenes with Jang Hyuk's scenes with his gang lol!). Then I love it more with the development of each character and their interaction with one another...
I'd also probably love the bromance here if they will just show more of it. Well, they are only on their 12th 30mins episode so I know that a lot more will still happen. But right now I just can't wait anymore for the next episodes.

I'm sorry, but no....
Admittedly I couldn't make it to the end of the first episode. The chef (one of the male leads) made this Michelin star type 5 star meal for his doctor wife-to-be and she threw it in the garbage. This same woman just looks super bored with him, kissing patients and ignoring him basically and when she shows up late to some hair/makeup appointment he boldly utters something along the lines of "You don't have to say your sorry because you're my woman' and then proceeds to kiss her into submission. OMG by then I'd had enough of this drivel, possibly the worst line ever, I'd have decked him. I think I might have thrown up in my mouth with that 'zinger' of a line. If I'd watched anymore I'd have no respect for myself. I'm guessing it gets better (from reading other reviews) but by this moment I loathed every character I would have been happy if they'd died in a burning inferno...the ...end...Was this review helpful to you?
