I was too quick to judge that ‘Eulachacha Waikiki 2’ won’t be as good as the first season. Well, I was completely wrong. It may be boring for the first 4-6 episodes, but the mid-episodes until the last one didn’t disappoint me a bit! Surely, the storyline is a little bit similar to the first season, but it actually reminded me of my good impressions when watching the first season. You’re totally wrong if you think this drama is completely comedy and completely boring and useless to watch, this drama taught me important life lessons despite all the comedy shown. This drama made me cry both happy tears and sad tears and also taught me how important friendship is. OVERALL, EXCELLENT DRAMA!

First of all, I loved this drama. It was a intriguing mix of comedy and romance. The drama was well produced and fresh, and also was interesting for me the whole way through. I never got bored.

Plot:
The plot/story was fast paced, which I can appreciate because it prevented any boredom. Although I was a little bit disappointed with the ending of the drama in episode 16, the rest of the plot was intriguing, simple and heart-felt. I was disappointed in the ending mainly because the main characters didn't achieve success over the span of three years. We also didn't get to see Joon-Ki and Jung-Eun's relationship happen or develop. What happened to her boyfriend? On the other hand, the comedy in this drama is gold. I would like to congratulate JTBC and the screen-writers on that. The plot was very light-hearted and heart-warming. It was all hearts.

Acting/Cast:
I liked the cast. I watched this drama because of the prequel, but I was happy to see Kim Sun-Ho (Cha Woo-Shik) in it. I know him from Two Cops. I was also familiar with Lee Yi Kyung and Kim Ye Won from other dramas. Didn't Kook Ki Bong's actor Shin Hyun Soo make an appearance in season 1 as the model with smelly feet? As the main cast were so good at acting, they made Ahn Soo Hee (Kim Jung Eun) look bad. She is not as experience as the others so it is reasonable though. I am also a fan of Moon Ga Young now. She is adorable, pretty, talented and awesome.

OST:
The ost was alright. It suited the situations and drama, but the music is not something I would listen to without the drama.

I think the theme is 'effort'. The main characters put in a lot of effort to try to succeed in their respective industries. The message I think the director is trying to convey is that you should work hard for good results. On the other hand, although this is not the message being conveyed, it could be the negative message of hard work = bad results. The protagonists were still unsuccessful after three years. Although they started succeeding and things started going right, it all went down the drain, and after three years they were still unknown and unsuccessful. Maybe we should be like the actor who took JunKi's role for that movie. Maybe we should cheat and use connections.

The drama was good in conclusion and have given it a rating of 9.0.

Lee Yi Kyung <3 <3 <3

IT IS THE MOST HILARIOUS DRAMA THAT I'VE EVER WATCHED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. OMG I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START. THE CAST, THE ACTING, THE SETTING, THE DIALOGUES, THE GENERAL AMBIENCE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, LEE YI KYUNG AS LEE JUN KI AAHHH MY HEART. MY MOST FAVOURITE CHARACTER AND PART OF THE DRAMA IS HIM. I AM UNABLE TO UNDERSTAND WHY HE ISN'T GIVEN MAIN LEAD ROLES IN ROMANTIC, ACTION AND OTHER GENRES AS WELL. HE IS NOT JUST THE BEST COMEDY ACTOR BUT THE BEST OVERALL. HE IS SO HANDSOME, MANLY, CUTE, AND ALL THE THINGS WE WANT TO SEE IN THE LEAD OF A DRAMA. I ADORE HIM WITH ALL MY BEING. I LOVE YOU OPPA <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Unpopular Opinion: Season 2 is better than Season 1!

I belong to the minority here where I actually did not enjoy Season 1 and really avoided Season 2 based on that but as it turned out that Season 2 was better. I felt that this season was more balanced in terms of comedy and emotion and that all characters had their time to shine, were likeable and no one felt underdeveloped. I will admit it’s a slow start, but soon enough the characters warm up to you and you feel for them!

In season 1 I really found the jokes kind of dumb, cringy, stupid and all over the place! Season 2 although it had some dumb, silly, slapstick type of jokes (and most of them repeated from Season 1), they weren’t as many and therefore did not make the show overwhelming and uncomfortable to watch.

As mentioned above this season had some great balance between comedy and some emotional scenes that made the characters feel more human and not cartoony like, like in season 1! At first you felt that some characters were left behind and not given enough time but as the show progresses everyone takes centre stage thus making all the characters more developed and more well-rounded than Season 1 characters. Especially Ki Bong and Yoo RI had such a great development, that they kind of stole the show.

If I had to comment on one thing I did not like, it would be that I would have like them to show the girls and their relationship more. They almost had no scenes all 3 of them together. Ohh, and the fact that it that the romance between Woo Shik and Soo Yeon took forever and it was resolved literally at the last 5 minutes of the drama.

So, If you are avoiding watching season 2 because you did not enjoy season 1 then I really suggest giving this a try!

Probably one of the few who really enjoyed this and didn’t constantly compare it to the prequel which I also loved. You don’t need to have watched season one to watch this one because it’s a different plot.

I almost missed out on watching this drama because I didn’t like the idea of not having the same cast because I was truly attached to them but I watched it for Lee Ki Kyung (Joon Ki) and I’m honestly glad that I did. I thought five of the main characters were really funny and enjoyable to watch.

Only letdown for me was Kim Jung Eun. To me she was quite a pointless character who did nothing but sticking her oar into other people’s business - which for me made her super annoying! Some of her scenes were funny but nothing memorable.

I love the different type of feeling I got from watching this drama especially as there were some episodes that made me feel sad to the point of where I started to cry.

I’d will definitely be rewatching this especially when I need a bit of a pick me up.

I do recommend this drama because not only is it funny but it also tugged at the heart strings for me.

Well i think there is nothing to compare from the first part. Not worth like the prequel. honestly iam very impressed the way they started this show. Looks like all the characters and actors except le junki are new and for me its like more unfamiliar with the new faces.but even i started becoz i liked the prequel very much. As i said earlier they started realy well in the beginning but some part of the middle of this drama its felt like little boring. Yes we all knew about what will heppen next but the biggest down was lack of comedy and too much concentration on something else, in some episodes

The performance are really top class from each and every characters. I personally like lejunki and frm the female leads i like jung euna, she was very cute and interesting through out the show. Its only for fun so there no point on looking the other factors. The finale 2 episodes are really good with a decent climax..

Overall i think everyone should give a try and you won't feel bad.

For me this season was good, I really enjoyed the plot and found new favorite characters, too. And I was excited to see Kim Ye Won since I have loved all her acting in other dramas.
My favorite character number 1 was definitely Ki Bong. Then (of course) Yoo Ri, Joon Ki (and Rebecca).
Joon Ki was great as always, his laugh is still the best and with Jung Eun had an enjoyable story. Then there was Woo Shik and Soo Yeon. Even from the start, her character annoyed me so I wasn´t surprised that through whole drama I didn´t grow fond of her. However, I liked Woo Shik, I found their relationship story boring and skipped most of their scenes. And now my most beloved couple Ki Bong and Yoo Ri: they were so adorable, perfect, cute,... and I loved their ending.
In conclusion, this drama made me laugh, cry and adore Ki Bong & Yoo Ri couple, and I really liked it.

I liked the second one as well as the first

5/10 is my rating. This is a 2019 television comedic drama with 16, 60 minute, episodes.
📍Lee Joon-ki (Lee Yi-kyung) CEO of the Waikiki Guesthouse. He takes but roles in series and movies in a quest to become a famous actor like his father.
📍Cha Woo-sik (Kim Seol-ho) One of Joon-ki's high school friends and an investor the Waikiki Guesthouse. He plays gigs while trying to get a break in the music world.
📍Gook Gi-bong (Shin Hyun-so) A “farm league” baseball player who aspires to the majors. Another Joon-ki‘s high school friends and fellow investor in the guest house.
📍Han Soo-yeon (Moon Ga-young) Joon-ki, Woo-sik and Gi-bong's first love. She was the dream girl in high school and everyone‘s first love. In high school they all confessed to her only to be rejected, except for Woo-sik who had a mysterious encounter with Soo-yeon in the past. Woo-sik is playing a gig a her wedding when it gets called off. With nowhere else to go, she winds up at the guest house. Coming from a formerly wealthy family who went bankrupt she is now having to work to support herself and is learning about life without wealth.
📍Kim Jeong-eun (Aha So-hee) Like Joon-ki she dreams of becoming an actress. She works multiple part time jobs to make ends meet. She knows Joon-ki from the university and it seems he has let her stay there as she fell on hard times.
📍Cha Yoo-ri (Kim Ye-won) practically raised her younger brother, Woo-sik. She is not above using manipulation and blackmail to get what she wants. Because if this, the others are a little afraid of her. She often has her friend and brother’s interest at heart but her methods can be unwelcome and brutal.

Spoiler 🚨 This is loosely a sequel to the first one. The only character in common with the first is Joon-ki who it seems bought out his former friend. There is not a lot of direct reference to the characters from the first although there is mention they were all successful in their various endeavors and thus left the guest house. There is very little explanation as to why Joon-ki broke up with Chewbacca and it makes his presence in this series a bit awkward. The new cast is entertaining with many of the same elements that made the first season so enjoyable.

So Cute

Firstly I'd like to announce that even though it's considered the 2nd Waikiki you can still follow the general story without watching in order. There's a few references you'll better understand if you watch the first, first but either way you can make it through without any confusion. Since I watched them in order I gotta say I enjoyed 2's ending more than 1. They both are super duper cute though lol Anyway if you want something stupid funny look no further. Waikiki is basically the blooper of the k-drama world which is why I give it a pretty good re-watch value. It gives life lessons in the most humorous ways making it family friendly and may even pull at your heartstrings...

One of the worst K-comedies I have seen

I'll be honest, I only gave this a chance because Mun Ga-Young was so enjoyable in True Beauty and fascinating in The Interest of Love. The writing in this series is consistently awful to the point I felt sorry for her being attached to it.

Through the first episode I thought Kim Seon-ho's friends were mentally disabled. I was actually angry rather than amused by the portrayals. Then I realized they're supposed to be "normal" people who have en extreme lack of social, emotional or intellectual I.Q. Which means they're in fact mentally disabled .I don't think building a whole show around laughing at that works. It's the worst kind of slapstick.

Moon Ga-Young is introduced toward the end of a tedious and painful hour and that's basically the cliffhanger to lead into episode 2. Something serious has actually happened with her wedding disaster and now there is a romantic angle.

I should've stopped there.

Some funny scenarios do begin to crop up. I was sometimes amused instead of angry, bored or frustrated. Unfortunately, those aren't the norm. This script just doesn't have enough meat to warrant a television series. Most of the misadventures are predictable and obnoxious. Characters I thought had at least some sense would prove me wrong. A lot of scenes could be skipped and the viewer would lose nothing.

I kept waiting for Kim Seon-ho to punch someone in the face and explain to them rationally why they were ruining their lives and the lives of those around them by being incredibley immature, irresponsible and just plain dumb. But sometimes he was just as bad.

I will probably finish this series by struggling through it a tiny bitter bite at a time. I'm hoping it redeems itself at least a little. It could've possibly been carried by Kim Seon-ho and Mun Ga-Young, but the ensemble cast doesn't give them a chance to put the series on their shoulders. On the whole, it's just a really long, bad joke.
