Personal Review
It was a solid show, but the ending was a little disappointing, especially with the plot of characters leaving 4 years instead of staying with each other. Also, the father kind of just... Left? I assume it's because something happe ned to the actor, but it was a bit weird. I wish things would've gone more nice for Geum friend. She was left without answers and heart broken too many times. Yi-jeong should've treated her better. I wanted that ship to SAIL! Gu and Geum communication was terrible, which led them to having more problems. It's almost like Geum would've been better Ji Hoo, her "soulmate." I wasn't really attracted to him, but I wish he was given more a chance in the story. I wish Gu's mother would've honestly apologize for all the harm she did, but she literally did nothing. Very disappointed. She was one of the main reason why Gu and Geum kept breaking up! Overall, the character I would I say I fit the most in is Song Woo-bin. He plays as a side character in the story and doesn't have a strong personality like the others, but just like him I would probably be on the sidelines trying to help with others relationship. I wouldn't per say "beat people up," but if I had to, I would. I wish he had more of a character arc. He poses as goofy, which I am, and hangs out with Yi-jeong; which I would love to do. Also, he's a great dancer, if you know whattaaaa I MEANNAN.Was this review helpful to you?
Don't do it.
I was very small when I watched this. At the time, I saw nothing wrong with it. Now that I'm older, I can see how bad it is. I wouldn't recommend watching this, because, it's pretty TOXIC. The story is not that great either. There are so many better dramas out there. Don't waste your time with this one! Take this as a warning, haha. Pretend it doesn't exist! xDWas this review helpful to you?

Boys Over Flowers (2009)
The show has essentially become a cult classic over the years. For many, it was their first foray into the K-Drama scene and thus carries a strong sense of nostalgia and reminiscence. But it should really stop there.
Cliché after cliché , trope after trope, stereotype after stereotype. Iffy characters at best trying to navigate their way around a wildly over the top plotline. It romanticizes unhealthy relationships that offer heavy emotional baggage with little to no payoff. Without a doubt, the show's core is an ugly mess protected by its presentation and production values.
Ironic, since it claims to prefer boys over flowers.

Do you love Romantic Comedies?

If you answered yes to all of these then you should watch it.
Plus Lee Min Ho is in it.

I tried watching the Taiwanese, the Japanese, and the Korean version of Hana Yori Dango. The Taiwanese version did not work for me, I didn't find the full episodes for the Japanese one, and now we've got the Korean version. Let me just start of by saying that Jan Di screams too much. I'd also like to say that Ji Hoo was too... how could I say it... stupid? My friend however fell in love with him so let's ignore that. I remember being obsessed with this drama. I'm not even sure why I stopped. All I know is that I had a love-hate relationship with this drama. Oh... wait, now I remember. Jan Di was the reason. And of course, some events I could not quite comprehend. Alright, let's start with Jan Di. She's kick-butt, she's strong... and she's one heck of a loud crybaby with a Bella Swan complex. She can't decide with whom to be, once she's with one guy, she's thinking of the other... get what I mean? Plus, she's supposed to be strong and all that. But, after a few episodes, all I saw was some dumb girl who is not so smart. There was this one really important event that made me realize that. Also, I knew how it would end, since I read some spoilers... and some events had me like: "puh-lease". A while ago, I was pondering if I should give this a shot. Other than Kim Hyung Joong, the F-4 was quite a cute bunch. It had an interesting storyline... but Jan Di and the events really don't please me. Props to Lee Min Ho's character, though. While he was pursuing Jan Di, he was pretty cute. Was this review helpful to you?
