Pia, a young girl from Ban Pa, returns to help support her uncle Ta Bua's tired eyes and plans to open a resort by the Pa Sak River. She avoids deforestation by asking a village gangster, Liam, to secretly cut wood from a temple cemetery. Liam, in love with Pia since childhood, agrees. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Thuringinrat, a new forest police officer, inspects Pia's resort, suspecting illegal construction. Pia manages to clear the allegations but feels disgraced, especially due to her family's hatred of forest police, though she finds herself drawn to the young officer.
