As alluded to, i really loved the female lead. I think she did a great job with this role. I found her very sexy, not just because she is hot (she looked awesome in every outfit), but because of that naivete, inexperienced way she portrayed the character. It was so adorable to see, even though hard to believe in such an older lady. I still like the sexy cougars, and aggressive types, however there is something very alluring about this character.
I'm from the USA and have pretty much dedicated my leisure watching to Asian productions. I love all the cultural differences, and they seem to be prevalent in all the shows i have watched, from Chinese, Taiwan to Korean and others. First- food. Americans like to eat just to eat, but in all these shows food is a most important aspect of every day life. so cool to see that. Second- the family hierarchy and the conflict about how things should and ought to be. In USA, it is pretty much, do what makes you happy and others have to accept it. In these shows, everything is decided on in lots of cases based on what is expected of you, or how others would perceive you- very fascinating. it is what makes these series 30-40 episodes long in most cases. Third- the age difference scenario- makes a good storyline
Anyway, I digress a little. I really liked this drama...lots of tender moments, lots of anguish for both leads and other characters and a nice happy ending. Great stuff, particularly during these difficult times we are going through now. Will be looking for more of these types of shows now that i have to stay in the house for the next 6-8 weeks, ugh!

A good watch
I usually don't like watching drama that has more than 24 episodes. This drama with 41 episodes is a long watch. But, it is good one to watch and you should give it a try.
It is a struggle of a 32 year old woman in love with a guy in his 20's. Song Weilong as the main lead, Yuan Song, was amazing. Victoria Song as He Fan Xing has also portrayed her character well. But, her character was really dumb most of the times. You can relate to her woes of dating a younger guy. But, the way she treated him was too much. She started the affair knowing that he is young. Then she breaks up with him and tries to date Ye Lu Ming. Even when she was dating Yuan Song she introduces Ye Lu Ming as her boyfriend to her college mates. After she broke up with Yuan Song she talks to him about dating and marrying Ye Lu Ming. All this after a badminton match with Ye Song. She knows that Ye Song is hurt but tries to built a future for herself with another guy. She was insincere about her feelings to herself, Yuan Song and Ye Lu Ming. Well, if she was so fearful about societal pressures she shouldn't have started the affair. I somehow disliked her smiling and trying to act cute in front of Ye Lu Ming.
I also didn't understand why in the drama they had always commented that Ye Lu Ming as a handsome guy. The actor who portrayed He Fan Xing's father looked younger to me than Ye Lu Ming. They could have casted a younger guy I guess. But, he is a good actor and has done a nice job. He Can Yang and Cai Min Min was really cute. I really liked them. The family ties shown between He Fang Xing, He Can Yang and their parents is heartwarming . It is really cute seeing the twin sibling bond and how the parents always showed favourtism to He Fang Xing. They are the best parents out there. Also, the friendship between the girls is enviable. It was fun watching the colleagues too. There is no scheming and villainous character in the drama which I actually liked.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME
I can honestly say I hate this drama with the burning fire of a thousand suns. Such a ridiculously stupid 32 year old FL, such a stupid story, such annoying side characters, didn't like or connect with anyone, I forwarded so much the only parts I could tolerate was FL&ML interactions (SWL was the reason I endured as long as Episode 15) .The FL treated the relationship like it was COVID, i know you're low key but my God, freaking out over a picture of just hands, frantically searching for a card that fell out of the bunch of flowers and going to the movies like it's a James Bond movie is abit overkill no?
The 2ML was a manipulative jerk I couldn't stand past the 2nd episode and forwarded all his scenes, it was even worse that she had to meet him and discuss every little thing with him like her brain went on vacay and he just had to do all the thinking for her 🙄🙄the side characters were such a bore I nearly cried, wish I could rate this 0, sadly 1 is the lowest. It's garbage don't waste your time.

The beginning of the drama may seem a bit slow, and to be honest the romance between Fanxing and Yuan Song felt a little contrived and fake. It was just too quick and too smooth which is so unlike the usual 20 or so eps it usually takes for the main leads to exchange a mere glance. The pacing of this drama is really good, and definitely an improvement on your usual Chinese drama that is 40+ eps long. This drama SERVES. CONSISTENTLY. I haven't finished watching (on episode 31) but IT GOT BETTER. How rare is that?! This is the deliciously rare kind of drama that gets REALLY GOOD as you keep watching.
It's not only the romantic relationships that are done well, but Fanxing's family is HILARIOUS. The dialogue is so funny and just written superbly - you will love her family (especially her brother, Canyang, who is by the way played by the male lead from Le Coup De Foudre if you're wondering why he looks so familiar).
As for the acting, Song Wei Long (who plays Yuan Song) is a surprisingly good actor, considering the fact that most 'little fresh meats' are not. Victoria Song is also surprisingly good at acting. Having not watched any of her dramas before, I kind of expected her to be bland or awkward or straight out cringe (as unfortunately a lot of idols are), but she was really good and loveable.
Final remarks: if this drama can end my severe noona-romance drought and complete aversion to this genre (remember, noona dramas somehow disgust me on a certain unexplainable level), it has got to be some kind of life-changing watch (ok, maybe not life-changing, but still).

Cant watch anymore
The main couple has nothing in common, their 'love' seems so fake. So many issues could be resolved by literally communicating with one another, but no they both rather sulk and be childish.Every single conversation is about love and relationships and age and marriage and blah blah blah. No other side plot. Just all romance and matchmaking. It got tiring fast, at least have some more office place drama like rival companies etc.
Victoria Song is absolutely beautiful and a good actor, I adored the parents, brother, and two best friends as well. the SML was very funny and mischievous, I also adored Cai Mi Mi, they're all great actors I just wish the writing was a bit different and the plot went in a different direction. I cannot force myself to watch this main couple anymore. Had so much potential.

Um grande desperdício desses atores como casal.
Tinha tudo para ser bom, mas depois de alguns episódios as coisas só foram decaindo. A história foge do cliché e tinha tudo para ser um c-drama icônico e revolucionário, mas acabou sendo apensas a história de uma mulher adulta e independente que é na verdade muito confusa e manipuladora, até o ML anos mais novo que ela tem mais atitude e sabe se decidir. A junção da Victoria Song e do Yuan Song foi abençoada pelos deuses, eles tem belezas únicas que se encaixam perfeitamente e tem uma química bem natural, mas por culpa do roteiro esse casal simplesmente não deu certo, a Fanxing sempre volta atrás na sua palavra, não consegue se decidir entre coisas simples, é um pouco imatura e acaba iludindo as pessoas e empurrando seus problemas com a barriga, foi bem frustante durante o c-drama inteiro porque ela só se resolve no final. As relações dos personagens secundários também eram um pouco confusas e problemáticas e durante o c-drama inteiro surgem problemas atrás de problemas que foram prolongados sem necessidade. La protagonista, He Fanxing, se empeña en vivir la vida que los demás creen que debe tener e incluso termina lastimando al hombre que ama. No pude sentir empatía por ella porque sus acciones no tenían consideración por los sentimientos de otros. Lo peor es que no tuvo una evolución apropiada, hasta el final toma desiciones abruptas, después de 40 episodios de estar de cabeza dura. No se hizo ningún honor al título del drama.
Aunque el personaje más odioso es Ye Luming, quien es una red flag andante. Se inserta a sí mismo en la vida de Fanxing, manipulando todo para obtener lo que quiere: casarse con ella. En ese triángulo amoroso quien demuestra mayor madurez es el más joven, Yuan Song, aunque tampoco es perfecto.
El arco de Cai Minmin (mi Meloncito adorado) fue el más entretenido y divertido. Hasta su relación me gustó, aunque al inicio estaba reacia por ser alumna/profesor, lo bueno es que se discutió el tema, así como las dinámicas de poder en una pareja, y se resolvió el dilema.

Eu iniciei o drama justamente pela sinopse pois trataria de um romance entre uma mulher mais velha e um homem mais novo, acho importante que esses dramas tenham visibilidade, pois foge um pouco do padrão do homem sendo o mais velho. Enfim, gostei muito de como o romance começou, ela descobrindo novos sentimentos que nunca antes havia sentido, porém a insegurança e o medo dela do que as pessoas iriam pensar me incomodou bastante, pois percebe-se que ela tratava o romance deles como algo passageiro, e fora algumas atitudes super adolescente dela, que me irritavam demais. Como ela começar a namorar o amigo logo após o término sendo que nem dele ela gostava e não percebeu tudo o que ele fez para afasta-la do yan song, forçou essa merda de relacionamento só pra perder tempo e iludir os pais e a ela mesma e ferindo os sentimentos de ambos, ela deveria ter o tempo de ficar sozinha e "se encontrar" para então entra em um novo relacionamento. Siento que es un drama dividido en 2 mitades, la primer mitad esta en el principio de relación de la pareja principal donde podemos ver el desarrollo de los personajes y nos podemos hacer una idea (xq tampoco nos demuestran mucho de ellos al principio) de como es su contexto en cuanto a su perspectiva y como se conectan con los otros personajes. En lo personal esta es la mitad que mas amo de la pareja principal, aunque se empieza a generar un poco de odio por la forma de ser de he fanxing y es un odio que ella se termina ganando de buena gana, también se aprecia la mitad inmadura de yuan song. Esta mitad casi que no tiene algo mas interesante que el desarrollo de la pareja principal pero bueno la historia avanza y termino en el rompimiento de la pareja ( personalmente la culpa recae en las dos partes, no una mas que las otras).La segunda mitad me parece por lejos la parte mas interesante del drama porque se abandona un poco la atención en la pareja principal pero sin dejar de ir desarrollando sus personajes, en esta parte se termina de consolidar el odio hacia he fanxing y como dije ella se lo gana porque la historia como ella y sus amigas la justifican con que ella no tiene la madures en las relaciones y por eso todo se termino con yuan song pero acá se confunden todos con la "madures en relaciones" con la falta de empatía, nada tiene que ver que ella nunca haya tenido relaciones a el sin fin de horribles decisiones que fue tomando desde el principio y que las amigas fácilmente le resumieron en una línea "estas lastimando a los tres" (refiriéndose a ella, yuan song y el señor ye).
Pero sin duda lo mas interesante de esta mitad es el desarrollo de todas las parejas secundarias y la que mas me robo el corazón y la que creo la mejor pareja de todo el drama es cong xiao y chang huan, ellos son hermosos y ame todo lo relacionado a ellos como su triangulo amoroso, su crecimiento y al fin su desenlace ♥ la verdad me hubiera gustado ver mas de ellos. Otra pareja q me resulto linda es la de he can yang y cai min min aunque creo q esto es mas por su química al actuar que por la pareja en si.
Por ultimo quiero mencionar el personaje mas detestable de todos que me pareció horrendo y creo que se va a pasar por alto y esta es una de las mejores amigas de he fanxing, song xue. es obvio que no puedo mantenerme objetivo en este punto pero creo que alguien puede tener la misma opinión. Ella todo el drama muestra un personaje moderno y ajeno a los prejuicios como otras cosas toxicas de la generación anterior que se observan en los dramas pero en realidad es igual o peor que ellos y de lo único de lo que soy feliz es que no la hayan metido a la fuerza entre he can yang y cai min min pero personalmente odie su personaje.

Comencé a ver esta serie porque busque algo light en Netflix, y el titulo sonaba prometedor. Después de terminarla me di cuenta que el titulo no me encaja con la historia, aunque en el fondo los protagonistas se encontraron a si mismos. Pero quién no va a madurar después de 41 capítulos siendo tan inmaduros. No hubo manera que la pareja principal me gustara, me dio vergüenza ajena la inmadurez de esta mujer, y no hay justificación psicológica, que aunque no tuviera experiencia en las relaciones, que su comportamiento fuera tan tonto.El protagonista masculino, Yuan Song, no le creí nada, no sentí empatía por él en ningún momento. Ye Lu Ming, gano todo mi respeto y admiración, de verdad yo me hubiera quedado con él, jajajaja. Si van a contar una historia donde el resto de la sociedad no cree que sea una relación válida, por lo menos convensanos a nosotros que realmente son una linda pareja y se merecen el uno al otro, así el resto de la historia veríamos todos lo que les sucede enfocados en querer que estén juntos. A mi me paso lo contrario, solo quería que se la se enamorara de Lu Ming. Lindo, inteligente, simpático, cariñoso, realmente mostraron todo lo que una mujer desearía, entiendo el porque, lo que no entiendo es el porqué al protagonista no lo desarrollaron, no le vi el atractivo, o solo era mala actuación?
La historia principal no me gusto para nada. Seguí viendo la serie hasta el final, solo para ver lo demás, Los otros romances, las otras relaciones tenían un mejor desarrollo, lastima que no las profundizaron más.
El final, el momento donde debería haberse "encontrado a si misma", fue el momento mas infantil y sumisa posible, de verdad no me gusto.
Las 7 estrellas son por las otras actuaciones, las otras historias y porque hubo varias escenas que me hicieron reír mucho.

Sem graça comprido demais e protagonista irritante
O personagem principal masculino desse Dorama é cativante é honesto consigo mesmo e sabe realmente o que quer apesar de ser jovem. A protagonista feminina é mais velha porém linda e idiota não sabe o que quer ilude o personagem durante todo Dorama. para depois tomar a decisão errada e no final correr atrás do personagem quando não tinha nem clima para aquilo um Dorama totalmente desnecessário onde uma mulher que não sabe o que quer manipula e magoa as pessoas de forma desnecessária por ser um dorama muito grande eu não voltaria a ver.Was this review helpful to you?
