In the romantic-comedy "Boku to Star No 99 Nichi", top Korean actress Han Yoo Na falls in love with a quiet man named Kohei Namiki. Kohei Namiki is a single man approaching his 40's. He works part-time at a security company. He has a sweet and handsome appearance which some people take advantage of as he is easily swayed by those around him. Kohei often takes care of his sister's three kids because his sister has a habit of wandering around. He is a passionate man and dreams of finding his star, but because of his family and economic situations, Kohei can't follow through on those dreams. One day, Kohei is assigned security detail for the beautiful actress Han Yoo Na. Even though she has a near perfect appearance and style, she prefers to act like a normal person. A strange foreign woman arrives at a Japanese provincial temple to attend an abbot's funeral. No one knows where she comes from or why she came here. Clearly, she has no place to go. She gets shelter to help in the temple. Jennifer, or 'Jenifa' as she is called, barely knows a few words of Japanese, but soon finds a common language with all residents except for one quiet boy. He lives secluded from others and works all day in a field. Residents call him "Prisoner A" behind his back. Singer Hyeon Seok develops problems with his hearing (Menieres syndrome) and has to stop his recordings. He notices a picture of Hokkaido in a magazine and decides to travel there. He eventually arrives in a a small village in Hokkaido for rest. While there, he reminisces about the old days. The owner of the inn offers him a Japanese meal. There he meets a bright cheerful girl named Megumi.
