If you're craving a simple rom-com. This is for you.

I just finished watching this drama and it was good.
The main leads are cute. I love their chemistry, the way he started falling for her and their kissing scenes are so cute. Hahaha.
The title really explains the story, and I'm up for it. I'm totally into this kind of drama when the guy either hates the female or has some sort of issue with her.
I don't know why, but Choi Tae Joon is so Handsome here. Like omg. I cannot resist his facial expression and just everything he does.
I would totally watch this again, but probably on just some scenes. Especially romance scenes... With their kissing scenes. I'm shocked that they had a lot of kissing scenes and I'm happy for that. Lmao. Idk what else to say..
Oh, also... I hate JJ! But that's shies his good of an actor he is haha. Love you ChanSung🫶

So I Married An Anti-Fan (2021) - I felt sad since it did not follow the flow in the webtoon though there are parts that are followed but not all.

I felt awkward with the "villain" female lead but the three main leads are great, I really like their acting.

What I didn't like in the drama is the storyline. It got dragging in the last episodes. It's also quite childlish in my eyes, maybe because I watched too many dramas already that it felt that it is not for me anymore. It's good for those who are still beginning to watch korean dramas or to a younger audience maybe.

So I Married An Anti-Fan is a rom-com that's sweet, cheesy and sometimes emotional as well. A simple story of a journalist's life changing moment when she gets involved with a popular star.

The cast were good, especially Choi Soo Young who played here mischievous yet understanding character pretty well. While the character development of the lead pairing was palpable, it did not reach a point where you feel like the supporting cast was not part of the picture at all.

With a breath-taking mix of comedy, romance, friendship, bromance, jealousy, and a lot more, the journey of Geun-young and Hoo Joon in this drama was satisfactory

My Rating : 7.5/10

Half Good, Half Annoying

I will admit that while I liked this drama overall, I almost quit very early on because the female lead's character was really getting on my nerves. You threw up on guest of honor at this event you're supposed to be reporting on, and your boss, who was already awful to you finally snapped and fired you and you think the celebrity orchestrated it?

Like, she kind of took no accountability like maybe her own attitude and behavior may have been her demise. Also, what is the protest meant to do? Only in a romcom could that turn into a TV show. lol

Once both main characters started to chill tf out, it actually got kind of cute at times.

The Worst

The story had potential to be funny and romantic, I mean what could be better than enemies to lovers romcom I was excited to watch it, i thought it would be hilarious the first few episodes, but it was extremely boring. The acting was soooo awkward and the chemistry between the two was not that good. There was no story whatsoever, there were literally lashing at her for everything she does and she cries about it and he comes to hug . Like what the heck i, it is just a scandal followed by another scandal. No communication and his lame excuse for not revealing his information, no one is forced to say everything about themselves, it's their private life even if they are a celebrity. Also, the second lead they were insufferable like how toxic can you be to not let someone go, they fight whenever they meet with each other. What angers me is that they still stayed together after they ruined each others lives. The music is sooo bad and cringy I woudn't believe the number 1 idol star made this kind of music. The thing about his dad was sooo unnecessary and didn't add to the story.

I already had prejudice against this drama when it aired in 2021 which is why I have only recently watched it (3 years after) to cure my Lovely Runner heart. Since I was on a K-drama slump, I was scared this will put me in a slump again but I gave it a chance. The first half of episodes, I wanted to drop it since the leads' chemistry didn't seem to fit but as time goes on, they actually had good chemistry! There's nothing much that goes on in the first few EPs, at least nothing much to care about that you can let them play out.

Fortunately, as it progresses, the drama also gets better along with the leads' chemistry. It was all so good and progressing until nearing the end. The ending for the leads was alright, we expect that but I don't like how it ended for the second leads. Sorry but the second lead guy deserved "other things" (cannot mention to avoid spoilers) and the second lead girl deserved better. It was just an abusive relationship.

Still, overall, I adored this drama and I think I should have watched this sooner. It was a hidden gem.

I watched for Choi Tae Joon

Soundtrack was mostly amazing! :) Loved Joon and Geun Young. However, the secondary leads were painful to watch... :s I see now what people meant in the reviews I read before watching. I watched this for Choi Tae Joon after seeing him in Suspicious Partner. It was great to see him as ML even if the character started out as such a butt. Who Joon really was trying hard for everyone. I loved PD Han, Writer Noh and Ji Hyang. FL was more down to earth, which I prefer. :) Not the best drama ever, but I enjoyed. Had one of the cutest finale scenes I've ever seen!!

A Chip Off the Old Kdrama Romance Block

This drama fits the mold, which must be successful because there sure are a lot of them. "Scarred in youth" boy meets "going through hell" girl and it's hate at first sight. But then they are thrown into an adventure together, which magically causes them to fall in love, psychologically heals the boy's scars of the past, and gives the girl a new lease on life. While the typical-ness of this drama made it mediocre, several of the actors kept me moving through the storyline. I come for the storyline plus the acting, but minus a really good storyline, its usually the actors that keep me watching, and this one did not disappoint. I thought some of the music in it was really good as well. It's a good drama to just turn off your brain and be entertained for awhile. But keep the expectations low.

DO NOT WATCH THIS YOU ARE WASTING YOUR BRAIN SPACE

ok so I have lot of complains with this drama i am not going to list all of Wussies but ill list the thing that pissed me of the most. Why the f did the FL change like seriously at the start she was so headstrong she even thrw her heel at "world famous star" where the hell did she go??? Like seriously as the drama progressed the more we saw characters just walk all over the FL it just made me so damn irritated like the company used her as a dog, than she goes to film for the reality tv doesnt get treated with any respect, she is litreally edited out to be the villian in the realith tv, and then that JJ bitch also had a secne where he walked all over the ML and the FL. And my main problem why didnt the FL do shit why did she just sit there taking all this shit its not realistic in any way.

Like seriously dramas like these make me so irritated the create a bunch of very irritating scenarios and address all of them at the end and fill a bunch of romance in the between like bruh i litreally cant enjoy the romance when i know that the FL is boderline homeless, has no job, is hated by her nation and the ML is dog dragged by the CEO of his idol company. So yeah i would say i mainly had problems with the story it made me very very irritated and just made me mkre angry instead of making me feel fluffy and calm. So yeah definitely do not reccommed watching this trash.

Endearing Feel-Good Romcom

Although the premise of this drama felt cliched - a haughty celebrity male lead and doormat female lead, the characters slowly started to grow on me and by the 7th episode I was hooked and ended up helplessly binge watching the rest. Both the characters have amazing chemistry and despite cliched scenes (the accidental kiss was so cringey) their natural bickering rapport and mutual support, growing understanding of each other, gradual decrease in pride and prejudice was heartening to watch. The ML is revealed to be an absolute sweetheart. And when there comes a time for justified misunderstanding and anger towards the FL for something leaked to the press, the drama again surprised me by showing their mutual trust on each other and patience to wait out the circumstances. For this alone the drama is worth the watch.
It has easily become one of my go-to feel good romcoms with high rewatch value, something that brings a smile on the face when reminiscing about.

surprise late night binge session...

I started watching this series because of review and trailer seemed interesting, and I thought here is a nice fluffy cliche drama I can tuck in with on a late Friday night. Boy was I wrong.
I love this drama hence binging it into my Saturday morning so as to finish it. The story for me was lackluster at beginning and then as I watched it drew me in, the plot grew better in my opinion. My favourite part was the new perspective I got about love and relationships, which is neither my cup of tea nor how I would react, but it opened my eyes to another person's character traits and point of view.
There were times I wanted to scream and shout at the Fl for just taking it, why she let herself be a doormat, but that is why I loved this series it showed me another character trait and went about to explain it. I do not think this will be me in the future, but it will teach me how not take advantage of people with her trait.
The ending, producers of this show that was very rude, personally I would have loved a bit more insight into their future or current present, but oooh well.
I loved the Ml and I am going to search for shows he has done to see how he transits from one character to another.

This show is not everybody cup of tea and that is perfectly fine, because the world would be Hella boring if we were all similar or liked the same thing, so sorry if this not it for you.

it is a rollercoaster of emotions

quick summary, a journalist that went on an event and met the idol that is hosting it. the idol has a really good picture in front of his fans, but she accidentally caught some dirt on him, they argued and she ended up throwing a shoe on him. she got fired from her job as a consequence. but his managers decided to give them a show for him and his "anti-fan".
really great story.
it was funny it was sometimes sad and the characters had really great chemistry with each other.
i loved the first like 9 ? episodes
but then i got really confused and kinda bored in the second half of it.
things started to get complicated with his dad and him lying about studying in the US and stuff.
and also the side characters are kind of boring.
but overall it is a great drama and a light one too.
7,5/10 i would recommend
