There was nothing to over the top. It was well scripted and clearly written by someone intelligent and sentimental. It exposed the internal and external looks and struggles. Lots of action too with a well done ending.

I just finished watching this drama and of course it made me cry. I loved their chemistry and how their romance grew slowly. I didn't really like how the first main character image are portrayed because I feel like there's no point for the main character to have that certain look because they didn't even use him in the end. We can still call ourselves ugly even though we may be beautiful on the inside or outside. But idkk. The song is AMAZING. Especially Fallin by Kim Feel. Hopefully I don't cry randomly whenever I hear that song. I also like how its a two kind of romance-ce. The romance between the detective/policeguy (forgot his name) (FROM REPLY 1997<3) AND the real min-do this drama wasn't the best but was a good choice watching it. Learned life lessons and consequences. Hope to see more of Ahn so yeop drama and OFcourse my Park BO YOUNG♥️♥️ THe second episode truly made my cry because of the preview. Like, they really gave us that preview to have a cliff in our mind. That we need to watch it ASAP to understand why seyeon is crying and why he ---spoiler----Died. His death is truly devastating but the thing that I really don't understand is him coming back. I wanna know more how he came back. They showed but it doesn't make sense. That old man.. Need more part so the viewer can understand his point. But overall, I like it. 7/4/19 2:42am <3

save me from misery park boyoung
my GOODNESS am I disappointed,,I have a small goal to watch most of park boyoung's works so that was why I started this, and I will say that the premise did intrigue me, and the first 3 or so episodes were good, but it lost its charm very quickly
and the acting is atrocious,, I don't know what it is but the two leads really do carry the show,, I don't often drop shows, I don't want to make that a thing I do but it's been almost 3 months and I only just finished episode 7...
all I have to say is that I do love park boyoung, her work is some of my favorite, but sadly not this time,, I do not have the time to care about or put myself through an "old" serial killer with long hair, no thanks

Some may like it, others may not.
I thought the beginning of this drama was very original and worth checking out. However, I just felt like the acting kept disappointing. I'm not sure why but half way through and Park Bo Young has gotten annoying with how she portrays her character. In some scenes she does okay. Others might disagree and that's fine. I enjoyed her acting in other works but not this one. The plot is good and I wish I could enjoy it more. However, I find myself wanting to stop watching. I've never given up on a kdrama before but this might be the first one. I want to give it a fighting chance so I'll try to hold out and see if my thoughts change.Was this review helpful to you?
Boring storyline
"Abyss" had an interesting concept, but I found it quite boring overall. while the actors did a great job, the storyline didn't grab my attention and felt too slow. It lacked the excitement and spark I was hoping for. I eventually stopped watching because it just wasn't interesting enough to keep me invested.Was this review helpful to you?
Must watch very well written
I was about to drop it because of reviews but then i gave it a try. And i am amazed this is such a well writte drama and very interesting.. loved it.. but i have only one issue why would they call a goddess like pby ugly? She is the most beautiful woman. Plus han sohee also god ugly when she was awake from death. She just showed her ugly face for 2 mins and after that she was same again lol. Only pby has confidence to present herself according to the script. That lady is a legend love her. Plus ahn hyo seop is hansome. And thank God it does not have any cringe content or cringe scenes like other k dramas. Humour was also at the right amount.Was this review helpful to you?
Divertente e fantasioso.
Un dramma fantasy ma anche romantico e sentimentale divertente e un po' contorto ma molto piacevole.Adoro i fantasy e qui la storia del abys mi incuriosiva tanto e in effetti è stato interessante.La parte un po' thriller molto intrigante.Attori bravi.La storia d'amore un po' starna ma strana nel modo giusto.
Personalmente lo consiglio a tutti non solo agli amanti di fantasy anche perché di base è una bella storia d'amicizia e amore con una nota di fantasy e pure un po' di thriller che non guasta.

I Loved it
I know many people didn't like it but loved it. I like the fantasy, mystery & thriller kinds of drama, though in this drama they didn't focus too much on fantasy but rather on mystery & romcom. But then also i enjoyed it.I loved Cha Min & Go Se Yun chemistry. They're cute together.
In the clips I didn't recognize Ahn Hyo Seop. He looks so different in Business Proposal. But he looks great in this drama.
Cha Min behavior after seeing his face, it is so funny.
Go Se Yun is smart, a brat, a snob, short-tempered.
Cha Min is naive, dumb, afraid of everything, but when it comes to business, he is the smartest.
Laughed when Cha Min said to Go Se Yun that she was not his type anymore. Serve her right for what she used to say all these years to him.
Cha Min expression when he saw Park Dong Chul hugging Go Se Yun.
Laughed whenever Park Dong Chul flicked Go Se Yun's head & Cha Min in reaction to it.
It was hilarious how everyone thought that Go Se Yun was a waiter.
Loved the scene in how Cha Min made Go Se Yun fall asleep.
Poor Cha Min has to bend his neck in a cybercafe because of his height.
Park Dong Chul reaction after finding out about Lee Mi Do real identity.
The way Cha Min was stammering when Go Se Yun suggested they should kiss.
Go Se Yun dream was hilarious. After that, the way she was so focused on Cha Min lips.
Laughed how the leads were fighting for the car key.
It was hilarious how Go Se Yun & Jang Hee Jin mother were fighting for Cha Min & Go Se Yun telling her that he is mine.
The way Cha Min was guarding Go Se Yun at the door was cute.
Laughed how Cha Min convinced Go Se Yun to sleep in the same bed with him.
Laughed when Park Dong Chul let out his frustration at his boss.
The leads' drunken behavior was hilarious.
It was hilarious when the leads barge into Cha Min’s mother’s room.

the production was good, I can't complain .I also say that the performance was incredible, it would be a sin if I complained.
I love the actors, I loved the characters.
Of course, not everything is perfect, I can't lie, but what a drama that doesn't have a single flaw.
So in conclusion, I recommend...
I say it's worth watching, maybe it's bad for some, but for me it was good.
This is just my opinion, you better watch it and have your own opinion.

Like how did I go so long without knowing anything about this show??
Hooked from the first episode and I binged it in two days. I loved the soul revival marble, it was a very interesting twist throughout the story that filled you with anxiety. The mystery of the serial killer and his accomplice kept you guessing and on the edge of your seat. I was rolling in laughter with the spin on Go Se Yun/Lee Mi Do hot mess! It was hilarious and the duo we didn't know we needed! The love story behind our main couple was everything! Like how sweet and unexpected, their story was years long and their bond was special.Was this review helpful to you?

I mean, at first it looks like it's gonna be a fresh start and a new drama that you will love (like every drama you start lol), but when you keep going and going it just gets boring. It's not a bad story at all, actually i think that if they pulled it better it could have been a great show but i guess it just didn't full my expectatives? idk.sorry for my english skills lmaoo

I watched the first two episodes of Abyss but I became tired of the almost constant harping about the leads’ physical attractiveness or lack thereof. It makes them, as well as the people around them, seem boringly shallow. Yes, I know that it’s supposed to be funny: They died and got another chance at life and instead of being in awe of their second chance, they dwell on their looks. But that joke gets tiresome and I don’t think it works as a satire of Korea’s obsession with physical attractiveness. Because neither leads’ personality seems particularly winning up to this point (Park Bo Young’s character is smug while Ahn Hyo Seop’s character is just stupid), it makes this a hard watch despite the interesting setupThis doesn’t always bother me; I like watching pretty people as much as everybody else. But I wish the leads in Abyss could just get over themselves and move on. I probably will stop following this and watch the last episode just to see who the killer is. If I can drum up enough interest.
