Romance? No, I think more like romanticizing a whole lot of deaths
I started watching this for the romance genre and because I like Xianxias / cultivation worlds.. What a beautiful mix. Well, this is not the series for you. This series is dark, more along the lines of "cruelty of life", with disjointed plot twists and it is definitely NOT a happy romance in any shape or form. I cannot emphasize how much this disappointed me as a romance genre tag.On the plus side there are different types of cultivation but nothing amazing that stands out. In the beginning, it was nice following the male lead, his sister and their development - especially with his shifu(s) and meeting their brothers. The shifu(s) and disciple interactions are a total highlight. Don't expect this to continue. though. After say the first 8 - 10 episodes, the series start going downhill. The romances are awkward. The relationships are messy. It was like they had pulled the actors into too many twists that the acting did not feel right.. at some point my family was chiming in about this series and acting being SO awkward.
If you like murdering characters left and right, you're in the right place. Death upon death of characters that has grabbed your hearts ensure. By the end, you wonder who may still be alive at the end to ride into the sunset in victory. Where's our happy ever romance - oh right, there's side couple(s) plot twist so the series will give you a few crumbs at the very very end to barely tick the box for the romance.
I ended up feeling like Lu Ping is a plot tool to drive the plot line and the series is more about his senior brother and other side characters that were around him and oh, their happy ever afters.. sorry Lu Ping, you'll have to live with just your memories.

Coming of Age Wuxia standard
This was much better than I was lead to expect by many of the reviews, but well worth the watch.Just make sure you bring a box of tissues once you get past the first half of the season!
Low expectations *might* have played a part, but I generally found myself not hitting the FF button as much as usual lately.
The young actors all mesh well, and I didn't find anyone to terribly annoying, except for the maid initially. The actors chemistry was good, however I'm still not super buying into the idea that Lu Ping and Xan YiFan only care about each other as "brothers".
There are a few too many intense lingering stares. I could totally see both boys being bi, with the women on the side.
The story wasn't super surprising, except for one part, which I was *very* pleasantly surprised at. I will say Lu Ping and his sister were *very* well balanced personality wise, given their meant to have surivived a decade on nothing but torture. The occasional slightly stupid action I can forgive as everyone is meant to be young and inexperienced late teens.
The situation around he adults motivation for past actions was a little ...fuzzy...and occasionally there seemed a few big jumps in logic/assumptions about events that everyone seemed to make. However I think I find breaks in character less forgivable than the occassinal plot hole, and in this the characters all stayed pretty true to themselves.
They learnt and grew, but they hung onto the basic tentants of themselves that they initially expressed at the start.
I wasn't expecting the happy ending that we got, and was totally ready for everyone to die, but they pulled in off in the last 2 eps and I really enjoyed the ending.
I love the main songs played in this series, and even after watching all the way through, I'm still not sick of them.
少年侠(《天醒之路》片头曲)
紙船(電視劇《天醒之路》片尾曲)
have both been added to my spotify list.

The idea behind this drama is good so I wount take points away for the story. But in detail there are a lot of situation which they really solved unrealistically and without real passion. There are many times that I had the feeling that they did not care much about the scenes. The biggest problem I had with this series is the acting. Arthur Chen is one of the worst actors I have seen. I would not even call it acting to be honest. Also he seems stoned all the time. It is not a good sign if the mc is playing a sad scene and you have to lough because of his bad acting.

The story and plot is good. The pacing is sometimes dragging and sometimes is fast-paced. The CG is not that cringy. However, I kinda regret the ending for Lu Ping and Qin Sang. The cast did a good job. At first they were kinda okay but as the series went on, their acting became better. Kudos to Cheng Xiao because I've learned that she did her own stunts. For a first time actress, she did okay.
Arthur Chen also did a good job and for a young actor, his performance in this series is okay.
The costume was meh. I didn't like the colors and design of the costume and it didn't highlight the visuals of the cast.

If I have to be honest, this drama does not have the most appealing acting for the actors. For example, Author Chen. I thought his acting was really good, but there could be a push here and there. This drama was known to have some of the youngest actors in the cast. Even so, despite some mistakes here and there, I really loved it. Even thought kisskh only gave it a 8.0/10, I felt it deserved much better. If you’ve watch The Untamed and liked it( If you didn’t watch it, I really suggest you to) you would definitely love this drama. The start of the drama was really what I thought hooked me on. The cinematography was I thought, amazing. There are many scenes throughout this drama that I just want to say, WOW! The wuxia of the drama is also really good. Comedy is also included, just its spread out, so some scenes will have it more that others. The romance is there, but unlike other romance dramas, this drama is more on the Friendship-Adventure side. The clothes for this drama is also just beautiful! The beginning theme song, I thought was so thoughtful. The pictures for the song was great. Loved it!SPOILER( A LITTLE)
The ending of this scene, I wouldn’t say it would be sad, but neither was it happy.

The first half of the show was good
Story: At first the story got me interested to see the show and it was working. The first couple of episodes up to around 20 moved at a great pace then the story just dragged and confuses you with the plot twists. I was very disappointed in the fight scenes in the show as they weren't many memorable. The first half of the show featured more fight scenes than the second half. It didn't help that I honestly didn't care about the romance between the male lead and the female lead. I didn't like the female lead's character nor did I care.Acting/Cast: I like the character Lu Ping and the actor Arthur Chen is someone I will consider watching more films/dramas of. This is my first time seeing him in a drama and the character wasn't the best but not the worst. I was very impressed to find out that the actress who plays Su Tang was very young while filming the drama. I didn't like the acting who plays the female lead. I don't know if it's her acting, the character, or the story but I didn't care enough for her to be with Lu Ping.
Music: The music to me is the best part of the show. Well I certainly loved the soundtrack in the drama. I like the ending song more than the op by not by much and I don't really like pop style music for wuxia dramas. They really did a great job with the soundtracks. They were pretty good memorable one's I like but I can't find the name of them.
Rewatch: The first half you could say of this drama was great if I would watch it again. I don't see myself watching through the whole episodes again based how the second half of the show went.
Overall: I can't say I hated the show because of how poor the second half went or the lack of fight scenes due to the soundtrack and the first half of the show. I ended up finishing the drama instead of dropping too. It was an ok drama.

The relationship between two lead characters, Lu Ping and Qing San, makes the story.
Legend of Awakening follows five friends who improve themselves as a result of the adventures and hostilities of the freedom they have chosen within the martial arts world. But, the relationship between two lead characters, Lu Ping and Qing San, makes the story. This loving couple goes from sorta liking each other and yet being irritated by each other to making internal and external sacrifices for each other as they build their love which transforms both of them. This show reveals the complexity of true love. In most of these dramas, love may have complications but is pretty straight forward. Not so with Legend of Awakening. Legend of Awakening shows the give and take required to build a special, loving relationship. All of the 5 friends make sacrifices for their friends/lovers and they suffer for it. All are transformed. But, Lu Ping and Qin San's love becomes a legendary tranformation. After watching this show, you will be sentimentally hooked on singer Alan's duet that is the theme song of the show. Was this review helpful to you?
1 star when you kill off the leading lady
It was going great until your killed off his fiance. He was the only one left without a wife.. 1 star because of the worse ending. Everyone had a wife at the end but the leading actor. That was not only the worse ending but the dumbest one. It was great until she died. The ending shoukd have been all of them have their wives together and he gets her pregnant instead of her dying. And the baby gives him the 6 awakening . Or at least something like that. The only one without a wife was stupid. At the end he jumps from roof to roof. Pure dumbWas this review helpful to you?
1) Story- At first you will absolutely get excited and jumpy but then has you reach episode 15 it just all goes down the director was just out of it I think. If you are not a very patience person and you went ahead and put effort into watching this drama I suggest you to just skipped it out trust its more better that way.
2) Acting/Cast- Got to say they were marvelous (not much to right on it) right on spot and some o them are new actors so its a really good breakthrough for them.
Okay I dont believe i need to right on the ost or the rewatch value but if you look on my profile its a litterally a zero for me its juts not that good. Anyway bye my loves.
DO NOT MIND THE GRAMMER OR STUFF LIKE THAT.

❤️???
This is one of the drama i watched, romance and overload sweetness scene is dull, actually i skipped some romantic scene/lines between the FL&ML, i don't feel the chemistry between them..The Bromance, Friendship in this drama is more fun to watch than the interaction between ML&FL☺️..
I don't feel grieving in the near episodes when the FL died unlike other drama's i watched like "snowdrop, scarlet ryeo, goodbye my princess" that so heartbreaking.
I hope season 2 with same cast☺️

This one is part of "Could have beens"- worst execution of a great core story.
In simple terms, it's not that bad that you will regret watching it but you will feel that wew this direction of the story is bad.I am not sure if it's the writter or the director that caused this show to become bad but I will blame the director since the core story with twists was great, but the way it was shown is like wew.Part that I hated most was how they try to portray ml walking wrong path for revenge and people starting to blame him when he didn't even do anything xd.
Overall show has nice music ( especially the main theme), good core story , happy ending (we know how rare this is ), all ruined by worst execution. ( Even casts feel a little off in this one).
