Too much jealousy

When I first started this drama, I thought the FL was so chill! But then later, she turned a bit irresponsible and not knowing what she wants.

I guess the main thing that I didn't like about this show was how jealous and clingey the characters are. I mean, if the FL even interacts with another male, like for work, the ML starts pouting. I like it when the ML's strong, and I also like shows where there is even a little bit of trust between the OTP.

I did still watch this to the end, despite all the annoyances I kept getting. I'm not sure why, though.... hmm.

The OST is okay, but it felt kind of scattered. Perhaps it was influenced by my poor opinion of the show itself.

The actors/actresses may or may not have done a good job - I couldn't really tell, since I hated their characters so much.

Female lead role performance good and she was cute for my view.
And
Support role characters are performed well.
This over all drama exposes maximum positive energy people only that was one puls to this drama.
And this drama not make any make any expectations that mean if you watch one episode that episode not to make expectations for next episode.
Because maximum I watch fantasy with marital arts drama only.So this was my point of view.

This all my opinion only maybe its helpful to you.

romantic and funny but the storyline isn’t very good

this drama was honestly okay, not good but not too bad.
good: 1. the story is funny and sweet, good for people who like to watch a full romance drama
2. the ost is pretty catchy although it doesn’t suit my taste
bad: 1. the acting was a little fake to some extent like the crying and i felt they could’ve done better. 2. the whole story was just about the lead couple almost the entire time, making it a bit boring.
3. there also isn’t anything to takeaway from this drama.
4. some parts were useless and did not help to bring the story forward

I was excited to check out this drama due to the high rating. The 1st 10 episodes were great, there was a lot funny moments and i quite like the friendship shown among the ladies. Then things just get dragged on. The second couple bore me to death and the main couple felt too innocent for their age. Plus Why must every 1st love college drama ends in marriage in China. I know its rom com but the marriage felt force. Lin Yi has limited acting range while Fair Xing is a stronger actress. This drama could have easily ended at 16 episodes instead of unnecessary dragging and i found myself skipping through some scenes. Conclusion this drama is like a sweet craving you had, after you had it its just to fulfil that craving and the taste didn't linger on. I can't even recall the songs in the drama or want to rewatch any of the scenes. Sorry to those who like it but it's not for me

If you are looking for something simple, straightforward, romantic comedy with good chemistry between the characters. This is the drama to go for. Enjoy!

Few things I really enjoyed about this drama:
- Although its the typical smart cold male lead and not-so-smart female lead. The male lead is not arrogant, full of himself and cares for female lead. Female lead stands up for herself in complex situations.
- Simple plot line, basically here for the cute chemistry between the leads and the friendship.
- Yes there is a love triangle but does not overwhelm the relationship between the leads, resolved quickly and straight forward.
- Many cute moments

Love, love, love, love, comedy…love!

I started watching it because I read a lot of comments about it, and it was true, it is an amazing drama. It’s full of sweet moments, with a simple plot, just following the lives of Si Tu Mo and Gu Wei Yi who live accidentally together.

Their romantic lives are the center of this drama, and it is really cute watch a Gu Wei Yi doing stupid and crazy things for Mo Mo. Besides that, every Easter Egg scene is something super cool and I haven´t watched it in other drama. Also it had an extra episode!!

A very refreshing and emotional romance, without a third wheel that wants to ruin the leads’ romance, just they show how their love grows up. The way they fall in love in a slow and fast way at the same time is amazing. The series even shows how they had a baby- Truly sweet.

In the other hand there’s another couple,Fu Pei ans San Shan , but they didn't call my attention, because they were really forced in the trama, so...

Would I re-watch it? yeah, it truly has sweet scenes, but, not the whole drama again, just a few episodes with beautiful moments.

Adorable, wholesome, melodrama-free show

This show is so refreshingly sweet and escapist and revolves around a group of soon-to-be college graduates as they navigate friendship and love. The main storyline follows Gu Wei Yi, an introverted physics student and Si Tu Mo, a bubbly accounting-turned-advertising student as they accidentally move into together and fall in love. There's very little drama so no breaking up of the main couple for stupid reasons or stuff like that. You just get to watch the main couple be cute together, which is nice. The second lead couple, Wang Shan and Fu Pei, don't have as developed of a storyline, but that's all right, because I was mostly watching for the main couple anyway.

The show has similar vibes to A Love so Beautiful (unsurprisingly, because they're both based off books by the same author). Both shows revolve around a young student couple where the girl is super bubbly and the guy is very introverted, and there are a bunch of love triangles. But unlike in ALSB, in Put Your Head on My Shoulder, the main couple meets each other for the first time in the pilot episode, there's not as much one-sided love, and the love triangles fade fairly quickly. Also, because the characters are in college, not high school, they're a bit more mature, and obviously, the individual plotlines are very different.

Music: I love the opening and closing credit theme songs!! They're so adorable and perfect for the show's tone. The rest of the soundtrack is good, too.

High rewatch value because it's just such a happy, feel-good show :)

This is a sweet but boring drama. Never having quite understood the hype, I decide to watch this once and for all. I would say this was a mixed bag for me as there were moments I liked and many that annoyed me. However it delivers what it promises - a fresh cast, romance and pure fluff.

PLOT:
I feel like the plot itself was just the cohabitation and how two people meet and fall in love. The Male Lead is a typical icy yet sweet guy who appears cold on the surface but is a puppy when in love. The Female Lead is bubbly, outgoing and lacking in common sense. Both seem opposites but the ML falls for her way earlier on than she does and does a lot of sweet things for her. Rest of the drama was about how they get close. Plus, thankfully there weren't any villains or clingy second leads. The heroine's male friend was annoying but he gets over her and tries to moves on with another girl but sadly never grows as a character. What is sad was how the overall premise was alright / passable, but the execution didn't quite hit the mark when it came to keeping me engaged. The secondary characters are all uninteresting and the romance between the leads is awkward as heck once they get to the dating stage. The parents were intolerable and new characters are introduced later on for no reason.

ROMANCE:
Meh. It was sweet till the leads actually confessed to each other. After that they spend all their time together to the point where it seems like they have no interests outside each other. Their relationship lacked maturity in communication and they are always dying to be together and their skinship wasn't fun either. There are no real conflicts they face and neither do they seem to be in a healthy relationship. It was boring because there was all fluff and no real talk between the two.

ACTING:
I didn't like Fair Xing but it seemed like she has potential. Her hairstyle and clothes were horrible and playing a ditzy college girl wasn't the best role for her. The main actor is cute and seems to have potential as this is his debut drama. None of the other actors made an impression on me apart from the ones whom I have seen in other works.

REWATCH VALUE:
No, thanks. I won't take this on again. It would be very challenging as skipping scenes is what got me to the end.

OVERALL:
If you like two people being in love, who are childish and are a pair that never get anywhere but are just CUTE - then this is the drama for you. I wish the characters of the main leads were written well because that is literally who the plot revolves around. In no way did I envy their relationship as I do with romance dramas because it never gave me healthy or fun vibes. Everything was cute in a boring way.

Time to move on to the next drama.

Cute and refreshing premise . . . but then what?

Refreshing 1: Gu Weiyi isn't perfect out of the box, but he knows what he wants and he wants Situ Mo. He usually does the wrong thing the first time he tries, but he wants to do better, is eager to improve, and learns from his mistakes.

Refreshing 2: Situ Mo has a relevant backstory. After hanging around a non-committal guy for months and months, she is now a bit hard to trust and quick to anger. She is high -energy, with a fierce, sulky temper - but that is an earned characteristic - not irrational and out of the blue.

Unfortunately, the plot is dragged over 24 episodes to the point where I stopped caring how it all resolved (I did watch it to the end for the record). The other negative point, beyond pacing, was I did not like the secondary couple plot- it just was thrown in without any real theme or purpose.

The main couple was incredibly endearing and while not 'naturalistic' it wasn't horribly overacted. The secondary characters did overact but not enough to throw off the whole show.

Music was competent, but I do wish there was one or two more songs in the mix.

I would not re-watch. The show is very quiet, slice-of life with no particular dramatic moments. Any sort of tension is resolved within minutes.

I grade by other criteria as well.

-----

Complex Themes - 7.5
Nothing complex, but I did like the premise that it's not the first impression or first time that matters - it's how you work hard and improve at things.
Character Growth - 5
The characters are pretty much the same at the beginning as at the end - there isn't a sense that the characters have been changed by time or events. The show could easily have taken place over a couple months with the same level of character growth.
Complex Women - 8
I liked Situ Mo a lot. She tries hard, is willing to make mistakes, is exuberant and enthusiastic. It was very endearing. While I think some could be turned off by her temper/failures to communicate, I think in the context of what she's been through (and Gu Weiyi's clumsy relationship mistakes) it makes sense and she usually recovers quickly.
Cinematography/Production Values - 7.5
Is exactly how one would expect from this show. There's no extraordinarily wealthy people in it, nor fantasy elements, which makes it easy to do. There is a lot of shooting outside/in real locations, and the apartment felt like a real apartment (not sure if it was or a soundstage).

This is a good comedy with a dose of cute romance. The leading couple has good chemistry for some adorable moments but their romantic scenes could’ve been more realistic for a romance that developed very slowly. The naiveté about their relationship was dragged for too long and the ending, although satisfactory, felt rushed. The OST is equally cute setting the tone for the simpleness and liveliness of the plot. The actors did very well bringing their characters to life under the inability of the writer to keep the comedy but to also give depth to the plot. Overall, this drama is entertaining, especially if the viewer is looking for something cute to watch. Enjoy it!

This is a very fluffy, almost drama free, series. If you're looking for something to watch in between intense series, this might be your boo.

The main couple is extremely cute and are quick to work out misunderstandings. There really wasn't a second male love interest, which I appreciated. If the couple had problems, they were quickly worked out, and the male lead works really hard to learn about love. There were a lot of cute moments in here between the side characters as well. The biggest thing I didn't care for out of this drama was Fu Pei's character. I just couldn't make myself like his storyline. Also, the mom who kept pressuring them about dating and marriage. Wasn't a huge fan of that.

All in all, nice filler drama to occupy your time if your looking for something that is relatively noncommittal and sweet.

Chronicles of a Bureaucratic-Romantic Nightmare

[Italian Version Below / Versione Italiana in Basso]

ENG

When you start a romantic comedy, you look for lightness, relatable charm, and credible chemistry. Put Your Head On My Shoulder promised exactly that; what it delivered instead was a manual on reverse-engineering human relationships, eventually descending into pure bureaucratic fantasy.

~ The Characters: Anatomy of a Relationship Disaster ~

Gu Wei Yi (The Walking Protocol)
Introduced as a physics genius, he turns out to be entirely incapable of processing emotions without an instruction manual. When faced with intimacy, he doesn't use empathy; instead, he pulls all-nighters studying female anatomy on his laptop as if preparing for a government safety inspection. His loyalty algorithm is flawless — he is completely blind to every other woman in the universe — but his relational reading skills are on par with an unplugged toaster. His curse? Devoting blind loyalty to someone who hasn't the slightest clue how to handle it.

Si Tu Mo (The Bureaucratic "Breadstick")
She has the emotional depth of a breadstick and the flexibility of a lamppost. For 22 episodes, she oscillates between total passivity and passive-aggressive outbursts. She berates her partner for his lack of initiative, but when he tries to give her a simple comforting hug after a bad day at work, she shoves him away, accusing him of "only wanting one thing" (after an entire year of forced celibacy). A character devoid of emotional maturity who uses sulking as her primary form of communication.

Fu Pei & The Roommates
The indecisive ex-boyfriend is dug up in the last 15 minutes solely to be redeemed and rushed to the altar in yet another rushed clearance sale of the supporting cast. The German roommates in the Munich flatshare complete the picture, serving as bewildered extras in the face of the female lead’s total logistical illegality.

~ Critique of the Screenplay: Why the Structure Is a Failure ~

1. The Agony of the "Stretched Plot" (The 24-Episode Problem)

The standard 16-episode format (typical of classic K-Dramas) would have saved this show. To stretch the plot across 24 episodes, the writers factory-reset the characters' brains every two episodes, forcing them to regress to a toddler's mental age just to manufacture artificial conflict. As a result, the viewer stops rooting for the couple and starts praying for the show to end.

2. The Last-Minute Short Circuit
In the final two episodes, the writing abandons all logic to cram every remaining cliché in the warehouse into the plot:
- An abrupt study-abroad scholarship in Germany.
- The flawless rival (Hannah, the blonde daughter of the professor).
- The opportunistic return of the ex.
- The inevitable "airport drama."

3. The Complete Suspension of Physics and Logistics
The climax of absurdity occurs with a transcontinental flight crossover above Siberia: he flies back to China to tend to her mild fever; she flies to Munich to force him into marriage. Si Tu Mo lands in Germany, illegally breaks into a student flatshare, and slips directly under Gu Wei Yi's bedsheets. When he walks into his room and notices a body in his bed, instead of checking who it is, he marches over to his roommate and angrily accuses him of bringing girls into his room. The roommate’s response ("Actually... that’s your girlfriend") reaches unmatched levels of tragicomedy.

4. The Marriage Scam and Bureaucratic Consent
The marriage doesn't stem from a romantic proposal, but from a kidnapped-style trick: he drags her into a German Catholic church by lying that they are attending "free English lessons." She only realizes what is happening halfway through the mass, passively goes along with it out of sheer intellectual laziness, and still finds a way to throw a tantrum because she isn't wearing the right dress. To top it all off, there aren't even any wedding rings.

The long-awaited consummation stays true to the show's tone: zero passion, just a formal request for verbal authorization before proceeding — much like signing an informed consent form.

~ The Finale and Verdict ~

The show bids farewell with the unmissable 5-year time skip: glossy photos in actual wedding attire, cut to the living room couch where a screaming 5-year-old is demanding fruit juice.

Gu Wei Yi’s cosmic karma is finally complete: he is condemned to spend the rest of his life managing two generations of screaming "breadsticks" demanding instant attention and juice on command.

In conclusion: a show that started as a cute forced-cohabitation comedy and ended as a treatise on pure nonsense. If you are looking for a mature love story, look elsewhere. If you want a crash course on how not to write human characters, you’ve found your masterpiece.

Gu Wei Yi (Il protocollo vivente)

Fu Pei & I Coinquilini

- L'inevitabile "dramma all'aeroporto".
