Great drama!
I really enjoyed this drama!!!!! The chemistry between the main characters is amazing and their banter was so funny, especially at the auction. Ryan's story is so sad ☹️😢🥺. I felt really sorry for him. I loved their relationship and how they slowly fell in love with each other. The ending was good and fitting to the story. The music was great, especially the main song. I'm still obsessed with it, lol. This drama gives us a glimpse of how Koreans become so obsessed with K-Pop artists. It was funny seeing a grown-up woman stalking a K-Pop idol and then becoming his sister in law.Was this review helpful to you?
Magical romance drama with high rewatch value
I will never stop raving about this drama. I’ve watched this show 4 times and it gets me excited each time. Needless to say, the leads have sizzling chemistry and they are just fabulous actors. Not a hint of aversion to each other- just pure love and buzzing with chemistry. It’s so rare to see leads in a kdrama who don’t look uncomfortable when it comes to skinship and these two are it! They sold us on their romance big time. It’s unbelievable that this was KJW’s first ever rom-com because he was born for this genre. As much as the story fizzled out towards the end, this drama will always have a special place as the leads shined more than anything and that is all you need to make a rom-com successful.Was this review helpful to you?

the production was good, I can't complain .I also say that the performance was incredible, it would be a sin if I complained.
I love the actors, I loved the characters.
Of course, not everything is perfect, I can't lie, but what a drama that doesn't have a single flaw.
So in conclusion, I recommend...
I say it's worth watching, maybe it's bad for some, but for me it was good.
This is just my opinion, you better watch it and have your own opinion.

True love / How to love someone
Should've been called How to Love or Love 101. I’m honestly in love. From episode one all the way through the end, this drama felt like a beautiful sunny day. Cute, funny, healing, comforting — the kind of drama that leaves you smiling without even realizing it and you could just watch it over and over again.LIKES
-From episode 1 to episode 7, I absolutely adored this drama. It felt warm, light, joyful, and healing — like sitting in the sun.
-The chemistry between the leads is immaculate and explosive. When he looks at her, I scream.
-Episode 10’s kiss was jaw-dropping, toe-curling, and unforgettable.
-Episodes 11 through 15 are pure bliss. THIS is how you write a sweet, lovely comfort drama.
-I love the female lead — innocent, naïve, super feminine, sunny, bright, and adorable. I want to be her.
-He’s cold and distant but deeply kind-hearted, and the way he loves her is beautiful.
-I loved the fake-dating setup and that they cleared the gay misunderstanding early without it ever stopping him from liking her.
-Their communication is so refreshing — they talk, apologize, and resolve things in real time.
-I loved the premise of him becoming her new obsession and her no longer fangirling over someone else.
-The female lead loves him selflessly and goes out of her way to help him heal.
-Their banter is hilarious and natural.
-The parents were kind, welcoming, and supportive — no unnecessary trauma. (until I got towards the end like what?)
-The OST fashion, cars, and overall production were stunning.
-I usually hate long, pointless breakups — and this drama spared me. I kept waiting for it and it never came.
-I will absolutely rewatch this. It’s been three years since I last saw it, and I love it even more now.
DISLIKES
-I hated that the dumb fake breakup caused by the jealous second female lead’s lies lasted TWO whole episodes. They’re usually great at communicating, but during that stretch, they acted irrationally and out of character.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I don’t know why I didn’t get this drama before, but now I do — and I’m obsessed. Maybe I didn’t understand Korean dramas the way I do now, but watching this again completely changed everything for me.
This is one of the best examples of a loving, communicative, emotionally safe relationship in a K-drama. It’s comforting, romantic, funny, and healing.
Rating: 10/10.

And I cannot believe I'm saying this, but I also feel like they have too much kissing and love dovey scenes that it took away the time slot to explore more more on the side story. I wish we see more of the family dynamic, the side lovelines, and maybe even more side stories about being a fangirl. It feels like being fan girl was purely used as an arc but not fully explore. By midway, there's almost no mention about the Road to Sian any more.
And the story about the kids/childhood... come on... so absurb, and even more unbelievable comparing to Secretary Kim. I cannot they used 2 accidents, and even a death just to justifying to action of the adults. There is no need, at all.

Captivating , Intriguing and Awesome Story
This drama just became my favorite rom-com drama ,I don't know from where should I start about this drama, this drama has everything that a swoon worthy drama would have, I loved all the episodes and the Chemistry between the ML and FlL is awesome.The Story:
Her Private life has a very compelling storyline as the title itself says that everyone have a private life which have passions, hobbies etc. The female leads be obsessed with an idol and make that one of the focal points of the drama. By reading the synapsis of the story it doesn't give away about is the story is actually about and that one will only understand after watching the drama. It also delves into the world of art and museums as the main leads work together at a museum. So I liked that they gave us a very unique work setting that I hadn’t seen before which was enjoyable.
The Acting:
The FL lead did a wonderful job, her Passion, Obsession and true fangirl for her Idol, you fall in love with Female Lead character and her best friend with their crazy relationship Park Min Young being a idol fan is very captivating and she pull off the character with such an ease, Kim Jae Wook did an excellent Job as ML who is disciplined, well versed in his Job as Boss. Supporting Cast also did a wonderful job.
The Romance:
The Chemistry between the leads is Awesome and it has total vibes of "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim " drama, One thing I especially love is how it evolves around the two main characters' relationship - even after they got together!
This Drama touches the deeper subjects and pull it off with such an ease, The story has many hidden gems in the characters' backstories, and it all comes together in the end. Truly a happy ending for all.

I love this drama. Sincerely with all my heart. I have watched it numerous times with the same pleasure. Mostly everything is perfectly done, acted…this drama is fun, the romance is one of the best you can find, the story has so much depth, the acting is solid. I watch it like 6 times on Netflix, on Prime…OST is very great too.A drama on several major platforms it’s already a sign that the drama is widely watch, greatly liked and majorly rewatched.
I love the fact that every character is well though off and has enough development to make him/her relatable. No character is the typical cliche, usual kdrama human-being. No annoying and retrograde parents. No awful villain plotting. No stupid woman that cannot do anything properly. No toxic second male or female that annoying you until the end. Just beautiful friendships, normal family dynamics, normal work relationship…
It’s Kim Hye-young best work by far without any doubt. We haven’t had the opportunity to see Kim Jae-wook in romances as the lead, so grab this one if you like him. There is only one story at the end that wasn’t necessary to me but other than that overall it’s really really good from A to Z.
Everybody that knows about the scandalous adoption system in Korea after the war gonna be deeply engaged with this story…
To me it’s the most genuine adult love story in kdrama. He is strong when she needs support and she becomes the strong one when he crumbled. That’s a real couple!
Just speaking about it make me want to watch it again…but this time fully in Korean without subtitles!!!
If you are looking for a kdrama to start your journey in kdramaland: that’s a fantastic pick!

Love the story, hate the visuals
I finished Her Private Life and I’m giving it a 7.5 out of 10.It’s a 2019 drama, the same year as Crash Landing on You, and honestly… that comparison made it even harder for me not to notice the difference in quality.
Because story-wise? This drama is super fun. It’s really watchable, it’s light, it’s entertaining, and it’s the kind of series you can easily binge without forcing yourself through it. The romance works, the vibe is cute, and the chemistry between the male lead and the female lead is genuinely really good.
Also, the cast? I liked them. I enjoyed the leads, I enjoyed the supporting characters, I enjoyed pretty much everyone. And yes, I even teared up at one point, because the story still has those classic K-drama emotional moments that get you.
But… the production completely distracted me.
The whole time I kept feeling like I was watching a low-budget series, like they didn’t have money. Not even in a subtle way. Visually, it just didn’t look good. At some points it honestly felt like something from 1998, and I don’t even mean that as an insult, it’s just how dated it looked to me.
And don’t even get me started on the wardrobe.
I don’t know who was in charge of styling, but every outfit had me wanting to claw my eyes out. Like seriously, I was so annoyed. It was one of those things where you’re trying to stay in the moment, trying to enjoy the scene, and then you see what they’re wearing and your brain immediately goes: why… just why?
And I’ll admit something petty too: I was also really distracted by the female lead’s hair color. I’ve seen that kind of look in Korean dramas before and maybe I’m just tired of it, but I don’t like it. I love natural jet black hair. It’s rich, it’s clean, it’s classic. That fake-looking shade just doesn’t do it for me, and it kept pulling my focus.
So overall, that’s where I landed:
The story is fun.
The chemistry is strong.
The actors are enjoyable.
But the visuals, styling, and overall production quality bothered me so much that it lowered the whole experience.
It’s not a bad drama. I had moments where I genuinely enjoyed it. But I also don’t see myself rewatching it, because I was constantly distracted by how it looked.
Final verdict: great chemistry and an easy, fun story… but the production made it hard for me to fully get into it.

You can even skip an episode or two without any problem)I'm not sure I agree with the whole parallel between being a fan of an idol and being a lesbian. If you want to talk about coming out, do it, for real. What's with these jokes about colleagues judging her for being a fan of this singer ? I imagine it's well-intentioned, but it doesn't have the right effect at all. Anyway, let's move on. At least the character who 'discovers' it, Ryan Gold, has no problem with two women being in a relationship. (Thank goodness. Expectations are so low, we're easily satisfied.)
Other than that, it's funny and cute, thanks to Park Min-young. How could it be otherwise ? But everyone is adorable. Kim Bo-ra and her little surprised grimaces, her futile pouts, her sweetness. The judo brother at the beginning embodies a gentle and benevolent masculinity, which we love here at the editorial office. (me) But he becomes unbearable and jealous after. I choose to ignore this whole "we're not family" thing, which I don't understand. The editorial team approves of the shots of him in the shower, even if their usefulness in the story remains to be seen. Well done, judo.
Kim Jae-wook, always too handsome to be honest. I'm wary of men like him. He kisses his girlfriend on the nose, just look at how indecent this man is !
Cha Si-an, what a shame, such a kind character, it's scandalous. A pure, innocent little kitten. I am outraged. His place is in a museum among the Greco-Roman sculptures.
Every episode I watched was under codeine, due to the frequency of my migraines. It passes the time. In the dark with the sound turned down low, religiously, tinnitus at its worst. Occasional dizziness.
PS: The fortune teller who speaks French, as a good French person who respects himself (and therefore hates other French people), I can say that this person is talking nonsense. Random words.
