It was cute !! And the acting/chemistry was top notch
* SPOILERS ALERT*If you liked "Are you human too ?" and "I'm not a robot" then you will definitely like this one ! In fact I preferred this one over the other two, I don't really know why it just clicked more with me. And if you like when the guy is pining/longing for the FL then this drama is also perfect for you ! I love this trope and it was 100% present here.
For starters the acting was perfect. I admit I began watching this drama because of the ML (I already loved the actor in "Tunnel" and "To all the guys who loved me") and here he was just so cute ! Well this adjective describes more the AI version to be honest but even the human version was pretty cute sometimes, despite his bad boy behavior. In fact, he did an amazing job in acting the 2 versions of him. It was uncanny how he seemed so innocent and gentle in one scene (AI) and more rude and "thuggish" in the next (human). But well they're the same essentially so you'll see that the roles can be reversed sometimes !
Now talking about the FL, I didn't see any of her previous works depiste "A year-end medley" and "While you were sleeping" (and I can't really say I remembered her in these roles) but here she really made her character stand out. She is just a lonely human being who longs for affection, exactly like the ML (even if he doesn't admit it at first). However I will give you an advice if you plan to watch this drama: prepare to see the FL cry a lot. I guess it makes sense in her situation but it was just a little too much for me (still watchable though). At least it doesn't make her a damsel in distress because despite all her crying, she still fights for her loved ones (within her own limits, she's not a superhero). The secondary characters were mainly pleasant (the FL's mother and friend, the ML's sister and coworker) but nothing too extraordinary.
The only downside for me was the last 3 episodes. It focused much more on the "confronting the villain" part than the romance part but I'll say it's understandable given the other genres of the drama (SF, drama). It was still enjoyable of course but I wish we had 1 more episode to appreciate the couple "officially" together. The writers gave us a "one year later" trick and it did its job for the most part, I just wanted more of them because I loved their dynamics and chemistry. The OST was pretty good too. Even if it's not really memorable, it still worked well and didn't disturb my focus.
In spite of my little disappointment in the way things were handled at the end, it was still a satisfying ending and I don't regret watching it. I hope you will give this drama a chance because it deserves to be more notorious and loved.

Loved it!!!
The beginning of the final episode made me cry for the ML's mom š she looked so happy that her son wanted to interact with her, I guess this wasn't a usual occurrence, and that old bastard just had to ruin it by killing her the next day!!!And that ending š„ŗ it was so perfect. I cried too when they were saying goodbye to Holo, so I'm glad they at least finish the drama with a hopeful future for him. Hopefully they'll keep him a close family secret and NOT try to make him go commercial again. Or find some other safe way to slowly let the world know about him faaaaarrrr into the future.
It wasn't a perfect drama. There were parts I literally couldn't watch because of second hand embarrassment, so I skipped, but I don't regret getting to the end. There were also parts where logic failed, but I don't care. As long as issues aren't glaring, I'm willing to set aside logic for a good story. If the ending is amazing, I would forgive even a lackluster drama. I expected a good romance and got so much more, the actual romance needed some work, but the bromance between Holo and the ML was everything, especially as he began to evolve. The FL was annoying at times, but she was cool the last couple episodes, so all is forgiven.
I loved it. Maybe not all of it, but I definitely loved the entire final episode (and all of Holo). I wish this was the usual 16+ hour drama because I think the pacing in the beginning suffered from making the drama (and episodes) a bit short, but also because I'd just like to see more of Holo š.

The chemistry between the two main actors felt real and the male lead felt like an actual human being (unlike other series, where I felt that the male lead is over the top). Netflix Kdrama are so different from the regular Kdrama and its a good change, I hope they will have more series like that.

Outside of the above it's a cute little drama that doesn't have major annoyances. It's solid, fairly chill entertainment. The reason why it's only a 7 is that there is nothing outstanding either, nothing really stands out. It's just a standard kdrama with a scifi spin. (The love triangle is resolved in a fairly acceptable way and it never devolved to the swords and daggers drawn type. )

Ending is bittersweet
The drama is so annoying with the FL for me, I felt she was very selfish. She was in love with three men at the same time!!!! What kind of nonsense lonely human being is she? I am not jealous or anything, I just didn't find her emotions very realistic. I prefer the realtionship of Holo and it's owner. I was very sad for Holo and his departure, I seriously cried so much for atleast an hour. It touched my heart, I have never cried at a drama before, I miss Holo, I think I fell in love with his character just like the FL. The ML acted very nicely, so good, that I want a Holo for myself and I hope he remains a great memory for me as well.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx T-T HOLO SARANGHAEEEEEEE <3 Forever xxxxxxxx

unique tropes and dialogue
this is one of the most unique kdrama iāve watched. honestly, i have never seen other kdramas that were similar to this one.letās go in depth about the characters. the FL is way too clingy and annoying, which is why i dislike her. when the ML was pretending to be HOLO and the FL found out, was it that big of a deal that she got mad? another thing i hate, is that the FL acts like she made HOLO. true, she owned HOLO for quite some time, but that was only because of an inconvenience. when the ACTUAL owner wanted HOLO back, she refused to give it. i donāt know why, but i got pissed because of that. now, letās talk about the ML. the ML is very likable. thatās all i have to say. his acting is really good, and i love how he portrayed the character go nan-do in this series.
what i like about this show is that there isnāt really a ālove triangle.ā HOLO and the ML are literally the same people, except for the fact that HOLO is an AI and acts more professional. HOLO felt uncomfortable while going on ādatesā with the FL because heās loyal to his actual owner, aka best friend (ML). itās sad how something thatās not even a human being has more common sense than one.
overall, i could rewatch this show many times and still wouldnāt get bored. i definitely recommend watching this!

A gem for sci-fi romantic comedy kdrama lovers
I watched this unique drama when it first came out and I did not have any expectations for it. But wow this one is definitely a hidden gem. If you like sci-fi/romantic comedy kdramas then you NEED to watch this one. First of all I loved the storyline, I swooned over Nan Do, I think Yoon Hyun Min is a wonderful actor and his duality between the two different characters was very well done. I loved Nan Do and So Yeon's chemistry and their growth as individual characters, I loved their differences as characters. This drama made me laugh, cry, and feel warmth. Definitely a gem on netflix in their kdrama category! Was this review helpful to you?
I ended up loving this and it's definitely in a top spot for me, and I will probably rewatch this multiple times.
I loved all the characters and the acting was well done.
I felt this had a very fast paced story line (maybe because it was only 12 episodes it was forced) but I loved the pace, one of my biggest complaints with Dramas is they tend to sometimes drag/get drawn out too much, but this did not have that problem.
On top of all that I absolutely loved the music and ended up having to find the soundtrack to listen to in my free time.
Overall a fun, fast paced show, that I think is very rewatchable! :)

Engaging and fun, should be watched mindlessly
I'm not into A. I type of drama but this got me hooked before I even know. The production is great as expected because it is a Netflix original. The whole drama was roughly fast-paced. Some aspects and occurrences were not explained and were left hanging. The whole plot doesn't also make sense ā even the characters' behavior. The female character wasn't likable though I'm not sure if it's because of the actress or the character itself. However, all in all it was entertaining and very very fun to watch. Was this review helpful to you?

A really good short 12-episode drama. Both leads have a traumatic backstory that is relevant to the plot. So-yeon and Nan-do are so cute together. They have great chemistry and created sweet and funny moments. It's so sweet how he looks at her and comforts her. So-yeon thinks she is not worthy of loving or being loved because of her condition. Nando tells her... "You hate your flaws but those things are what I find special about you. The fact that we are imperfect is what let us meet in the first place." Awwwww!So-yeon falling in love with holo is believable. Holo is so dependable! I didn't like that manager that she had a crush on, he was too short for her... lol
I love Nan-do and Holo's relationship! They interact just like real friends. It's fun to watch, like he is arguing with himself. Even Nan-do loves Holo, he sacrificed himself so that Holo can live and be with So-yeon. I love that in the end, Holo did not betray Nan-do. Holo was truly designed to be Nan-do's friend.
The love tri-angle was awkward. I didn't believe Holo can love, but we all can love Holo. I have to say, I liked this so much better than the drama Iām Not a Robot. There are only 12 episodes, no dragging and no replays or flashbacks. The story flowed very well. It was so sad to see little Nan-do crying waiting for his mom. The romance was such a slow burn... the leads always gave me the doki doki feels when they're together!
I watched this 3x already. I love the OST Love again, it's so soothing!

Are you human too except its a hologram
Initially I started this show like maybe 2-3 years ago but first episode didnāt catch my attention so I gave up on it. I also didnāt really like the casting at the time so it didnāt pique my interest. However after recently watching another Kdrama where the ML was, I remembered this show and how I dipped on it mid first episode.
All of my friends watched this show and said it was good but I never listened, but oh my god, this show is really good!
At first I was really curious about how they would make it even possible for a human to fall for a hologram. I mean I understood āare you human tooā plot because falling for a robot/android is somewhat believable since it has a physical body, but this was really interesting and I needed to know how they would go about it.
Watching this show in 2025 was perfect too, since AIās are everywhere and thereās been cases of humans actually falling for an AI. I just wonder how much worse it could possibly get if holograms were a thing lolā¦
Overall thereās not really much for me to say except for the fact that its really good and I enjoyed it. Some parts were a little goofy like you could tell the budget for VFX was low because omg š The scenes where they would make the hologram appear and disappear were just too funny to me.
Im also not really sure why they made face blindness look like that since thats not accurate at all? I actually had to google if I had my facts wrong because why did her eyes blur out peoples faces like sheās some machine with censorship lol? I guess they did it for plot purposes but I think that was also really funny because they would show peoples bodies but blurred faces š
Anyway iām really happy that she ended up falling for the human version of the hologram because I actually thought for a second that they would do what āare you human tooā kdrama did which was make the girl end up with the robot instead of the human guy version of him š now that i think about itā¦thatās actually super weird LMAOO okay thats besides the point, but overall I think this kdrama is worth sticking around for!
Though I must admit, the only reason I stuck around this K-Drama was because of the ML since Iāve grown fond of him through the Kdrama āWitch at Courtā (also great show).
Alright with that being said, the show is pretty good. It lacked a bit in romance part in my opinion but it was still super cute!

Oh you must watch
AI love, teaching humans the true value. Knowing how to teach life skills, to fall deep and not knowing how to turn away. This show showed much sacrifice, enduring and love. The cast played their parts very well and believable. I have been watching both Korean and Chinese shows. I have very little command of both languages, any great show can grab the viewer and keep them watching. This show will pull you in and keep you asking for more. You feel heartbroken when the show ends. Wanting another 3 or 4 seasons. Was this review helpful to you?
