Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Episode 4

ami came through like i knew she could

i went in thinking thinking ami would probably again fade into the background , but she had the ultimate best scene in this entire episode & I'm going as far to say the series possibly. her heart to heart with rei was so beautiful. having her bridge the gap to rei , she knows how much this means for usagi & she is someone who understands how rei feels without knowing her like that. I'm glad they chose ami to have this moment with. this is a team of friends , each relationship matters not just the protagonist & her supporting characters. when they start deviating from the source material is where they really shine. the nuances they add to their relationships with eachother was what drived me to rewatch this & it's even better than i remember. each actress pulled their weight in bringing life to their characters. each actress did wonderful work bringing another complexity to classic characters & usagi cheers me up so much. she has this quality of always believing in someone & I'm happy to see her childishness be rewarded here. there's this mandatory part in each episode where they just have fun doing girly things & i cherish it like everything.
