Mioka's physical symptoms are worsening. Her parents take her and Taichi on a brief family holiday. Dr. Takanashi suggests to Mioka's parents that it is almost time to hospitalize her. As she loses control over her own body, Mioka herself realizes that she and Taichi can no longer cope.
