Village Survival, the Eight Season 2

This was better than season 2 with an improved format where 1 member hides the money and pretends to be looking for it with the others during the episodes. Although this season was way funnier and better, it still suffered from some parts being boring wherein the games where repetitive and the preparing for lunch/dinner were also boring. Still, the cast were more comfortable with each other and they vastly improved from season 1. Son Dam Bi and Ki Young were both the most improved! Especially shocked with Son Dam Bi because her clue-hunting skills and deductions were not that good during season 1 but in season 2 she was amazing. I really like Do Yeon also for being funny along with Ki Young. Among the guests, Somin in ep 1 and 2 was the best and brought a lot to the table. This season also suffered due to having strong first episodes with Somin and followed with somewhat lackluster episodes but the final episode made up for the suspense and for catching the culprit. Overall, it is still a fun watch following season 1.

Level up village chaos

Season 2 of Village Survival, the Eight genuinely feels like the show found its groove. Everything is more polished this time, tighter structure, new games, new location and overall a clearer sense of direction. It still has that chaotic village charm, but now with an upgraded system that makes the mind games even more fun to watch.

I do have one tiny heartbreak though… no Jennie this season. Her absence is definitely felt. And while the three rotating guests added flavor, I also felt a bit bad for them because the permanent cast already had the advantage of experience from Season 1. Still, So Min's episode had me dying from laughter. Her instinct to hide clues like she’s in Running Man was legendary chaos. Love that for her. Love that for us.

The season wraps up cleanly, stays funny and keeps the energy high all throughout. Honestly a great follow up and definitely worth bingeing. I laughed a lot and now I’m low-key wishing for a Season 3.

This is my first review I have ever written. After watching this show I was so amazed by the cast, the music, the tiny details regarding each person, the mystery, and most of all the unique games the cast play. There are so many unique games these members play and every single second can not be missed. I am constantly dying of laughter and super amazed by how close the cast is to another. The setting of the game and the family feel this cast brings is something out of this world. The humor is all over the place and I have re-watched this show a good 5 times and still can't control my laughter. Episode 4 was in my opinion the funniest thing I have ever seen.
