Storyline : Hint of cliche (restarting your life after hitting rock bottom) but it was well executed and well plotted.
Characters: Well developed, recognizable personalities.
Comedy/Drama: both were fit right in the place. You will laugh and you will cry.
Music: I LOVED the music, already familiar with two of them, it made me feel nostalgic aand i sang along. it was the perfect icing of the cake.
Re-watch value: for me, i wouldnt watch it right away, i would wait a couple of month b4 i re-watch it.
I know you will love it. so its highly recommended

Dreams can be accomplished...
So the only reason watched was for Johnny.. saying that this movie wasn't as bad as I thought it would have been.I particularly liked the message behind and throughout the film. It portrayed a really a positive attitude and life, and not how to just give up when you thrown a curve ball in anything you want to do.
The characters well developed, recognised personality, and had both the comedy and betrayal of what a drama should have.
Overall its a good watch. With a good message in it.

An Okay Movie
Almost all the CNY movies are popcorn movies are it's a time for families to go out and spend time together. hence the box office for CNY movies are usually really good and it's a great time for comedies and sadly, mediocre movies.This is one of the better movies among the mediocre movies and as usual with most CN media, brings a positive vibe throughout the entire movie. Not surprising, This movie topped the charts as it was a safe and good choice for families during CNY.
My only complaint is that the racing wasn't done well, and you were left with a cliffhanger at the end, altho the sequel cleared it all up. (The sequel just came out in 2024 CNY and just like this movie, topped the charts being in the top3).

The difference those few seconds made at the ending

I started this movie on a whim, as I need a movie with P for my challenge. I was not expecting much out of it, as I don't have any fascination with race car driving. However, I must say that I was actually impressed with how this movie came out. It had comedy as well as scenes that kept me on my feet. This movie, somehow, was able to get me emotional at certain scenes, and I'm not that invested in car racing to get as emotional as I did. But I guess it was because it's a story of an underdog, and we the viewers want to see what happens next.
Now, while all of these are good aspects of the movie, those last few seconds just made all the good things I found about this movie go down the drain. I didn't really like the ending, and it did leave me disappointed. If it just had a better, worthy ending, I would have given this movie a higher score than 7/10.
