80-year-old Ayumu Nippori, confined to his house for sixty years due to a heart condition, wakes up one morning believing he's 20 again. As he lives in this youthful illusion, he decides he's dreaming, turning his once unhappy life into one full of joy and hope. His new home-care worker, 18-year-old Kodai Narisu, reminds him of the girl he once loved, though she is dealing with her own uncertain emotions.
