PYHOMS is more focused on the romance of the main couple than in First love and has lots more Awww moments. The romance in First love is slower moving and a little more "innocent".

I like the stories of the secondary characters in first love better than in PYHOMS.

Both are amazing. In both, there are more than one couple which made them less boring and increases your craze. The happy ending is also be considered. By summing up everything was great. But A little thing called first love is more best than this one.

These are both really sweet chinese movies/dramas that focus on two students from the same hometown falling for each other and attending the same college.

Both drama is about growing from school life to social life.

Similar with high school transitioning to college setting. Female leads fall first. Unrequited love is a little heavier with the drama but both were very cute in seeing the relationships form & develop and face hardships.
