Almost as good as the original
First let’s just review the drama itself without comparing it to the original. This drama has a very original storyline that’s completely unpredictable. With hundreds of dramas under my belt I’m very good at figuring out what’s going to happen in a drama. But I would never have dreamed the reason why the male lead was seeing his future. So I give top scores for the very original storyline.
The romance is good with real kisses and lots of cuddles and cuteness. There’s a lot of push and pull between the leads in the beginning but it’s for very believable reasons. And the main leads have great chemistry.
This drama has lots of action with no dragging in the middle like some dramas tend to do. It’s well written with great acting and definitely worth the watch.
Now let’s compare it to the original:
(This is only for those that have seen the original drama. If you haven’t seen either version yet be forewarned it may contain spoilers and you might want to skip this part).
It’s rare when a remake is as good as the original but this one comes close. It followed the original almost exactly scene for scene word for word and only skipped a few parts. It’s very good and the acting is great! I have to say that this one may have been even better than the original if it hadn’t left out a few of my favorite scenes from the original Korean version. My favorite scene is where the friend is stuck hiding behind the couch while the main couple are all over each other celebrating their decision to get married. It’s just so funny and their chemistry is on fire. But this drama didn’t have that scene. It also skipped some cute funny scenes between the secondary couple (the male leads sister and the lawyer friend). Like the scene where she stops up the toilet and he saves the day. I missed that scene because it totally cracked me up. And in the original drama the male lead is furious at his friend for getting his sister pregnant which seemed more realistic to me. But in this one he just pats him on the shoulder. I felt that this drama wasn’t as good as the original. It’s still a really good drama. But it left out some of the best scenes that really made the show. And that’s a shame because the actors did a really great job. If you liked the original you’ll like this one too. It’s almost identical with the exception of a few scenes. Overall I’d say it’s a great drama worth watching even if you saw the original one.

Give the show a try!
Some in my drama crew aka "D-Squad GALs"are pure loyalist and refuse to watch any version of an original K-Drama series. I've never fallen into that category. Watching a remake from a difference country is interesting to me because it allows me to catch glimpses of the heartbeat of that country i.e. social norms, humor, food (especially since I'm a major foodie) and always.. always .... THE MUSIC (hey I'm Brazilian .. how can I not LOVE MUSIC!!) .. yep the overall vision of their version of a classic is interesting. Such a great opportunity to experience how different countries put their spin on an original."Another Miss Oh" IS INDEED a classic in my top 20 best K-Dramas, so it would be difficult to stand toe to toe with the original. That being said, I'll truly make an effort to watch a re-make without the lingering thoughts of "why would they do that" or "that's not part of the original version", etc.
As a stand alone, I actually enjoyed this version. The entire cast, in my opinion, did a great job portraying their characters esp. the leads Yong Anusorn Maneeted as Naii and Green Ausadaporn Siriwattanakul s Ploy --> known as the "not so pretty version" --> although the actress Ausadaporn Siriwattanakul is gorgeous in my eyes.
I thought the main leads chemistry was very good i.e. the push and pull of budding feelings for each other, I especially enjoyed watching Ausadaporn Siriwattanakul's performance. She was spot on as Ploy. Awkward, unsure and self depreciating sprinkled with moments of boldness but always kind. How could one not fall in love with this character.
Ok, let's get this out now .. being a woman, I have to confess, I could not take my eyes off of actor Anusorn Maneeted as Naii. That man is stunning (WHEW fanning myself). I checked out his profile and noticed he has been in a lot of dramas so he is definitely one to watch. In all honestly I felt his portrayal of character Naii was a bit too bland for me, almost underplayed. Even still .. the chemistry between the two main leads was very much on point. An actors should not been known for one project but the body of their work, so I always attempt to watch an array of their projects to get a good feel for what I consider their talent level.
As a side note actress Waratthaya Wongchayaporn as the "pretty" Ploy is stunning. Sadly I felt her acting in this role was a bit bland and stiff but I'm going to see what other projects she has been involved in.
The major joy for me in this drama was the music! Being a singer myself, I'm always drawn to singers as well as musical scores. BEAUTIFUL! I hope they have a full album available to download on line. Just loved the music in this drama!
Overall, I agree with the rating of 7.5. Re-watch, not quite on my top repeat list but definitely for those raining days when I'm in need for a light rom-com.
I'll end with I wish the very best for all involved in this drama. Hopefully many future projects in their future which allow for growth in their craft. Much love. :)

Feels like a knockoff, but it's not bad.
Another Oh Hae Yong is one of the best kdramas I have ever seen, It has minor flaws, but it's pretty much as good as it gets with some unusual elements for a kdrama.Unlucky Ploy mostly -especially in the early episodes- is a very accurate adaptation. Most scenes are brought over verbatim, I can almost see the cast watch the relevant Korean scene before each filming session & then trying to mimic as perfectly as possible. There is no attempt at new interpretations here. (they've removed a few scenes related to poop & maybe even pee, it's been a while..)
So why is it a 7? Well it's worse than the original in every single way. The acting is much worse, It's not bad exactly, but it's like amazing acting and chemistry of at least two couples vs. just alright. The music, cinematography, the production & everything else is similar to the original, but clearly worse. Also the second couple's happy ending is mostly missing from this one.
I'm confident that even in a vacuum, where I would only know this show I wouldn't rate it above 7.5..
Oh I'm almost forgot it's not just the meh acting, but also the casting of the FL & second FL are not great. FL is just too radiant for this concept to be anywhere near believable. Second FL is pretty, but the somewhat quirky pretty that the main FL should've been.
Most lakorns are awful, at least in that space this has to be amazing, right?

A great romantic drama with lots of laugh!
I haven't seen any other version of this drama, so I don't know whether it is better or not.I liked this drama very much! I loved FL because she was very positive most of the time, funny and cute, although I felt secondhand embarassment many times because of her. I loved that she was all in. When she was in love she expressed it. When she was sad she expressed it too. I liked that she didn't let her ego get in the way of her spending time with the man she loved ! I liked how her perspective changed through the drama about her situation with the other Ploy.
I liked ML too, but I would love it if he could be a little more expressive. He was more serious and shy and that's his charm! I adored how protective, sincere , kind and concerned he was. It is not very clear to me when his feelings changed from attonement to love towards FL... but I have to say that he was husband material for sure! They had many romantic and cute scenes together!
There were some more evil characters but not the extreme kind! The other characters were nice too. I didn't skip many scenes.
In conclusion it was a nice drama, which didn't make me bored at all, gave me lots of laugh and cute scenes! I enjoyed it! I absolutely recommend it!

The OG Korean version is better in almost every way.
First Half: 8.0Second Half: 6.5
Average: 7.25
Seeing “Unlucky Ploy” on Viki, I impulsively decided to watch it, thinking this is going to be a happy rom-com. I watched the Korean version, “Another Miss Oh” a long time ago, so I don’t really remember much of it. I only remember the general premise of two Miss Oh, steamy kisses and a great OST. With all this still in my memory, I started “Unlucky Ploy”, trying not to compare the two dramas too much.
I had a good time watching the first half of “Unlucky Ploy”. It has the standard Thai flair and humor in our female lead’s personality. She was going through a tough time after a breakup for the most ridiculous reason. She is also still suffering from the trauma of living underneath the shadow of Pretty Ploy. But I quite like this somewhat crazy female lead. That is until the second half of the show when I want to slap some sense into her. She needs to grow a backbone and say NO and BYE to ML. The Ploy that I liked in the first half became over-the-top weak, cringey and clingy. She is a 32-year old woman but acts like a child. She also cries in every single episode and it’s depressing me.
The Korean and Thai male leads seem to be a little different. Korean ML appears more arrogant and stand-offish. Thai ML, Naii, appears more introverted and shy (and a little bland). I like them both (at least in the first half of the drama). Both Ploy and Naii have decent chemistry at first and I enjoy seeing how they first met and then became neighbors. But just like what I described earlier with Ploy, I started to dislike Naii in the second half. I am annoyed with his indecisiveness and mixed signals. I can understand being indecisive once or twice, as there are factors he needs to consider. But the wishy-washy behavior lasts way too long. He acts like he’s never been in a relationship before and doesn’t know how to act like a boyfriend. Naii’s once adorable shyness and ‘subtle’ acting when he shows his caring side as a neighbor, becomes wooden acting on the actor’s part.
Personally, I think the Korean version has more handsome men (LOL), especially ML’s best friend and FL’s ex-fiance. However, the Thai version has prettier women. Pretty Ploy (Mind) is a lot prettier than the other Miss Oh. Even though ML’s sister, Nang, is prettier in the Thai version, the casting in the Korean version is much better. Nang was so badass in the first half, but she lost her sassiness and cool in the second half. The acting is OK. I like the two Ploys (Green and Mind), FL’s mother and certain scenes of Nang. But the men’s acting isn’t as good.
If you were to choose to watch only one version, I would pick the Korean one. That one has better writing, casting, acting, chemistry and kisses. I actually went back to YouTube to watch clips of “Another Miss Oh” to refresh my memory. Also, do not mistake this for a happy romantic comedy. The comedy tag should probably be taken off, as it feels more like a melodrama with the crying scenes in almost every single episode. I do like the songs in both versions.

Series very well played, produced, with an adaptation of the story to the Thai context.
This remake of "Another miss oh" is better tyhan the original (although I liked the original). Here, the production is more dynamic, and the actors are exceptional!! Congratulations to the 2 leads for their performance!!
BUT some flaws :
- the ML2 actor is not up to his character. He is supposed to be very handsome, attractive. He is not. And besides, the character is a moron!
- the character of the therapist is completely wacky (charlatable, unprofessional, half-divine)! If this is the image of therapists in Thailand, I understand that patients are reluctant...
On the other hand, there are a lot of lines in French (almost understandable :) and the character of the mother is great.
Series very well played, produced, with an adaptation of the story to the Thai context.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I liked it
This was a nice drama, not great, but good to watch. It is a very slow burn drama, not much happens. They tried to make it extra funny by overdramatic acting, but for me that backfired.I liked it that at moments you had a side vieuw of the two houses besides each other.
The acting, visuals and music are good.
The mains had good dynamics and chemistry, the kisses were ok.
One time watching was enough for me.

If you liked "Another Miss Oh", you will like this one too!
I'll first say that I went into this show sceptically because I am a HUGE fan of the Korean drama, Another Miss Oh. I think it is brilliant and brilliantly acted. SO... I don't usually like to let myself down with subpar versions of something I adore. However, I gave it a shot anyway and am SO glad I did. Here are a few short & sweet thoughts I had about this drama.
1. These Thai actors and the director/writer/whatever all deserve a round of applause. They kept the "soul" of the original when they filmed this one.
2. I liked ALL the actors/actresses who were picked for their roles and even against popular opinion, the ML's older mess of a sister. I liked that she was portrayed a little bit younger and a wee bit more put together than the Korean sister.
3. The famous karaoke/crying/karaoke scene between the FL and her parents did NOT make it into this version and that was probably my only and biggest disappointment. Probably because of how brilliant it was in the Korean version!
4. The Korean version is still the BEST version but I think it is mainly because ALL the actors seemed a bit more, IDK, passionate? about the roles they were acting. Their anger, their losses, their love, their frustrations, their flaws were RAW and REAL and you felt everything they felt. This version was GOOD, really it was VERY good, but it felt just a little short of Another Miss Oh's brilliance.
STILL... this drama is wonderful and I really did love it. Will it replace the Korean version in my heart? Nope! But I will be rewatching it and adding it to my top 10 Thai Drama List for SURE! :)

I wanted to love this so bad but I could not
Loved the Korean version but I had a hard time digesting this one. I felt bad for the main female lead Ploy, she had to cry in what seemed like every scene from start to finish of this series which made it hard for me to watch, I get why she would cry for certain things but it was an endless bucket of tears. I didn't like how she was treated in this one by the male lead, the walking into traffic all the time, the story and the psychic ability, just constantly throws everything off. The supporting cast were fine for me, not the best but they were fine overall. Male lead character for me was ok, didn't like his attitude in this story just overall did not like this version of the series, writers could have done a lot better with this version so for me not a good watch. Hopefully I will find them in other shows that are better. Was this review helpful to you?

Better than the original?
The Korean version:I’ll be honest I saw the Korean version long back and didn’t enjoy it very much except for a few scenes which were really funny! It was pure timepass for me and I didn’t really get attached to the characters as much.
In comparison:
I genuinely didn’t think that I’d like this so much. For the first time in a while, I could find myself connecting with not only the leads but also the supporting cast. In fact I actually prefer this support cast more as they were to intact and funny! I didn’t start this with many expectations but I came to love it as I finished it in less than 24 hours!
Plot:
Two girls with the same name and surname always mistaken for each other- the pretty girl had her pretty pass as the “unlucky” one always felt that the pretty girl took everything from her when in fact it wasn’t anyone’s fault. Years later pretty ploy is about to marry the ML but leaves him on the wedding day. Then the ML mistakes unlucky ploy for pretty ploy and sets out for revenge by sabotaging her wedding.
As the original, it was very very similar although it had a touch of its own. I liked how this one emphasised on the “pretty pass” concept more. Although a few scenes that were in the original were not here (like the iconic scene where the leads are all over each other and the best friend is behind the couch) they pretty much went for 90% of the scenes from the original.
Acting/Cast:
Like I mentioned, I absolutely loved the cast. They seemed comfortable, funny and bonded. I honestly didn’t think that the kissing scenes and many others would actually be as intense as the original but dang I was surprised! I loved the ML’s brother with his girl and his sister with the best friend! It felt warm and real!
Music:
I felt that the music pretty much matches everything.
Overall:
I’m impressed. It was funny, emotional and romantic at the same time. But MAN- the second hand embarrassment I felt for the FL is INSANE- I don’t know I felt so embarrassed every time she did something but man I loved her personality. No matter what she went through- she always put on a smile and positively started each day.
Rewatch Value:
I’d definitely rewatch it if I’m done with my other lakrons and dramas on the list! A nice Sunday with some good food is definitely a good time to rewatch!

much better
i tried and failed 3xs to watch Another Miss O and i just hated it. i came across Unlucky Ploy and loved it. i find this version easier to watch as Ploy didn't come across as pathetic as in Another Miss O.the male lead was better for me too. i don't know why but i hated the Korean version.
Now, while i liked Ploy and sympathized with her, i couldn't take the amount of drinking she was doing. it really bothered me the wag she downed her glass in one gulp. the drinking and the embarrassing behavior almost made me drop the drama.
i never really got why he was seeing his future, but i felt he could've prevented him getting hit by the car. i recommend this one over Another Miss O, just bc its funnier to me.

How to spot an abusive relationship
ACTING:GRADE: 6
The main thing pulling this up is the main character/actress. She is so goddamn likable and charismatic. Her family members, and friends is also pretty fun, and the dynamic between most of the characters is pretty enjoyable. The "french" that comes up occasionally is so bad it's actually good, as I didn't realize it was supposed to be french before it was spelled out.
STORYLINE:
GRADE: "Can I give this minus?"
This is anything but romantic in my opinion. He is constantly stepping over boundaries, putting her down at EVERY turn, making her feel dumb or pathetic for expressing emotions. Honestly feel like I could show this show to my patients for grade A+ examples on gaslighting. My naive ass was rooting for her to be with her awesome, empathic, caring and smart male co-worker in her team. But no. Go for the guy who's vision of a "romantic" time is to KIDNAP you in a traumatic way at your workplace, disrespecting your professional life, and having you just following along passively watching YOU work. Or calling you a slut when you come on to him (aka your boyfriend), or put on make up. YAY.
Ladies. If this is your man, you run. And boys, if you're in little brothers relationship? RUN.
Can't believe the sisters love story is the most wholesome one! Also, why is the main character going from a charmingly silly but strong independent woman to a furiously infantilized version of herself by the end. Seeing a grown woman speaking in baby-voice and throwing pretend tantrums is so weird.
If I'd rate it on everything other that the failed romance storyline, then it would be graded much better. The rest of the story is fun, lighthearted with a few "moral story lines" that works most of the time. As a storyline about how to get caught in a bad relationship, it's good - as a supposedly romantic story it's really bad.
SOUNDTRACK:
GRADE: So bad it's almost good.
It's basically three soundtracks played on repeat through out the WHOLE series. 1) Sad instrumental, 2) Melancholic instrumental/piano turned somewhat hopeful, and 3) More cheerful/romantic song. AND THEY ARE PLAYED AT SEEMINGLY RANDOM PLACES. She's acting crazy angry? Queue romantic song!! They time the music so weirdly, and it took me straight out of the scenes some times, but I looved it.
Overall: It was enjoyable enough to watch it. I'm almost done and will finish it. But I wouldn't watch it if I wasn't trying to learn Thai. There are several horrible tropes that perpetuate sexist/toxic standards. It's ok. But I hope young people watching this doesn't think it's standard that men can't contain themselves or that being treated like dirt is ok. :(
