in some ways it was like a dream work environment, Bok Dong didn't care for background or educational degree or age, and he gave everyone a fair shot, he gave worth to the employees, they work hard and the customers let the saying "the customer is the king/they are always right" get to their heads and they disrespect the people who are just trying to make a living. but here it was different.
usually korean dramas don't do this, but I liked the theme eps for Halloween, Christmas and the others.
the ost was like an anime's theme songs and overall it was a fun ride~

And the comic effect... is simply divine. Regardless Kim Byung-chul in his constant stoic demeanor dishing all sorts of quirky ideas, or attempting "Flashdance" moves in tights, or his frantic jives as master DJ. Park Ho-san also levelled up playing a villainous, exasperated director role with great conviction and hilarity. Manoeuvring himself amongst security beams a la "Entrapment" style. Lee Dong-hwi's performance as innocent, derp looking manager added zest to the final plot twist. And rest of the crew from youths to the elderly were outstanding in their performances. Overall, a very well produced and directed show with much creative adaptation and in-depth character interpretation.
Prior watching this series, I thought the other K-drama "Catch the Ghost" was a one-off unique production. So I was pleasantly surprised to find "Pegasus Market" equally good. If these two productions are indication of future K-drama style and standards, I will be following every series and episode.

Comedic yet heartwarming
While it could be viewed as overwhelmingly comedic and even ridiculous at times (especially since it was based on a webtoon), it was more than a mere comedy. The snippets you get of the character's lives help you sympathize with them all. While each of them have their own past, this drama shows you that while you may not be completely content with parts of your life, you can still experience happiness in the present and future. It shows just how important it is to be compassionate and kind to each other while embracing and trying to become better versions of yourself. There was also a large emphasis on caring for each other so that everybody could find happiness in their daily lives.

PEGASUS market.
Alone the name tells about it already.
A story so whacky so absurd never heard of.
I don't watch kdramas that often but with this I was pleasantly surprised. It's so different from the typical kdramas with all their tropes.
I love that the kdrama industry is trying to broaden their horizon with more comedy.
This story doesn't makes sense.
I does not.
No logics apply no tropes no typical leads.
It is comparable to what your brain does when you have to much imagination and nothing to do.
It's like a pile of imaginative nonsense in a good way.
There is no way for me to describe all the characters perfectly but here are my impressions:
I liked alot of the cast actually. Mr Moon was my personal favorite throughout the story. He gets portrayed as a simpleton but you'd be surprised to find more.
The Chief Jung Bok dong is just.....
How to put it.... A rascal with nonsensical ideas up his sleeve wherever he goes.
I liked him too but I think he could have done even more with his role... If that is evn possible.
The Bbaya tribe was a nice addition however, they walked sometimes the fine line between stupidly funny and annoying.
Mr kwon. Had always an obstinate warily expression and I think that also describes his character very well.
A personal favorite of mine was gab.
He needed more lines and screentime!
His character came that of a haughty nervous chicken pretty close and the actor acted very well.
Oh In Bae aka the king of the customer satisfaction center. Was a great idea. I think he was a good character but I wish he would have alined with the king role even more.
For the story I was impressed. Alot of abstract interesting ideas. Not only for the storyline itself but also the environment.
The mart itself, like the chargeable revolving door, the car polishing wax that grows hair, the secret room for hidden documents etc.
I didn't expect such a wacky comedic drama to have such an emotional side.
I gotta be honest a cried a little.
What I didn't like were the amount of popculture references and gtbh the momoland fan service. I don't think fan service is generally necessary in dramas because it doesn't add to the story and feels more like a promo/filler.
For the popculture references Im ok with as long as it doesn't get overused. I often don't get the references because Im not hugely involved in popculture or kdrama land so often jokes that had that direction didn't land for me.
All in all I think it was a very innovative drama that explored new ground for kdramas and I hope there will be a season 2! It was fun to watch and much more than funny I found it partially fascinating.

The story was okay at first, seemed a bit predictable though. And, of course, the ending was exactly that. However, the drama had a feel good, heartwarming plot with some interesting characters. The whole market was a crazy ride, with kings, sweet little girls, an odd hillarious oompa loompa like group of men and an even more crazy ceo. And even though some acts were a bit over the top, the overall result was good. The performances were pretty great too from everyone in the cast, but especially the kids.
So, overall, seven out of ten for Pegasus Market.

.
Fun little drama but the concept became stale mid way through with some skits weren't as good as the earlier ones. It would make a great comedy movie with some refinements or at least cut it down to 6-8 episodes while removing the boring bits and this would be a solid package. The music bits were decent. On another note, whenever they use CGI it doesn't blind well especially the shot of the main building they keep using. Was this review helpful to you?
Disappointing
I started the show with lots of expectation due to the excellant actors in the cast. But mighty disappointed and frustrated by the time they ended. They had lots of potential with interesting story line and their inclination towards quiry humor. However their story line was bad, with no real concept. Weak weak after week I was expecting some kind of twist which will make sense of what is happening in the show thinking it was building for something big. With actors like Kim Byung chul and lee dong hwi, I felt they could have supported any twist. But the script was so bad, they did not have anything concrete to offer by end of the show. Very disappointed with the high praises with reviews where they mentioned this show as highly entertaining and funny. It was funny maybe for 2-3 episodes however after that it was irritating more. Good actors wasted on this show. Was this review helpful to you?
Sah-Do <3
yall!! I had no idea that I'd enjoy this so much! I usually put a drama on to fall asleep to but stay up until 2am watching and laughing so loud! I truly enjoyed this. I mean so much happened that I didn't think would. I felt like I was watching a movie by Wes Anderson. Im so used to Kim Byung Chul being a villain so this was truly a treat to see him being the nice guy. I didn't realize that I needed more Lee Dong Hwi until I watch this! ugh Im ready for more shows like this..Quirky just a small hint of romance but an overload of cuteness and comedy. I have to admit Zie was thee most adorable kid I smile every time I was hit with a Sah-do!!! The Bbaya tribe was my favorite part of this series lolWas this review helpful to you?
Pegasus Market is a heartwarming comedy you can't miss.
When I first started watching Pegasus Market I wasn't expecting a lot, just a simple comedy drama that centered around a supermarket. I was incredibly WRONG and here's why and why YOU should watch it!I found this series because I absolutely love Kim Byung-Chul which is the actor that plays Jung Bok-Dong. Since I loved his acting in countless series and films, I decided to give this series a try.
When I tell you the first episode had me absolutely mesmerized...
I realized this series was becoming such an important series to me and soon it was over! Time passed incredibly rapidly when watching this and when I finished it I just couldn't help but rewatch it again.
The pacing is amazing, the dynamic between the main characters Jung Bok-Dong and Moon Seok-Goo is incredibly heartwarming, the comedic scenes are so funny and a lot of the times they had me rolling on the floor. There's also this part from this series that I find underrated which is how amazing and well written each character's backstory is written.
Overall I loved this series, each episode felt like a rollercoaster in the best way possible, it doesn't get overwhelming nor repetitive as somehow this series manages to have equality between it's storyline. The cast and acting is also incredibly on point. I can't believe why more people hasn't watched this yet. This series is just amazing and it couldn't be more perfect.
Post data: If you do watch the series I also recommend watching side-to-side the special post-series episodes that belong to Pegasus Market: Vroom Vroom. (The episodes are available on YouTube on the official channel of TvN Studios) and the off-camera recording of the series and making-off is also really funny!

A Chaotic Comedy That Turns Madness Into Pure Entertainment
Pegasus Market is one of the most bizarre, hilarious, and unexpectedly heart warming dramas I’ve watched. What looks like complete chaos at first slowly becomes a uniquely meaningful story about people, loneliness, ambition, and finding purpose in the most unlikely place. The drama’s biggest charm is its unpredictable humour. Every episode feels completely wild in the best possible way, filled with absurd situations, eccentric characters, and comedy that makes you wonder, “What am I even watching?” — yet somehow you cannot stop watching. The humour is ridiculous, clever, and refreshingly different from typical comedy dramas.
What truly makes *Pegasus Market* special is its unforgettable characters. Each employee brings their own strange personality and emotional depth, creating a workplace that feels chaotic but strangely comforting. Beneath all the madness, the drama quietly explores themes of failure, healing, friendship, and the desire to be valued.
Kim Byung Chul’s performance was especially outstanding, balancing over-the-top comedy with emotional vulnerability so perfectly that his character became both hilarious and surprisingly touching.
Despite its quirky style, the drama carries a warm heart. It reminds viewers that even broken dreams and unconventional people can create something meaningful together.
*Pegasus Market* is not your typical Korean drama — it’s weird, chaotic, emotional, and absolutely unforgettable. A hidden gem for anyone who enjoys unique storytelling and comedy with heart.

weird, entertaining & fun
This is not the typical Korean drama. I picked this series randomly as business comedy genre from a recommendation list. And it didn't disappoint me. Watch this with an open minded and you may find some value along the way. I feel like watching a baby drama growing up whose parents are Japanese and French, but the child is a Korean. I know it sounds weird. But if you appreciate the weirdly entertaining series, this one is for you. The story is so far good. Acting are on point. I wonder what will be the outcomes if we execute those ideas in reality :)Was this review helpful to you?
