Romeo and Juliet - Korea Edition
I heard great things about this drama, and it lived up to the hype!At first, I was bored by the North Korea beginning segments with Seri being there. I had to watch it in 2x speed. But things quickly started picking up around episode 10. I then felt hooked into the action, the romance, and the cast members, especially the lovable comrades. Them entering South Korea reminds me of the drama Rooftop Prince, and they had such funny cute scenes!
My favorite part of this drama is the cast. Everyone was chosen so well, with such amazing chemistry and acting skills. I also watched this after the main leads got married, but after watching it, I am not surprised they did. Their chemistry was off the charts. I was cringed by the cheese at first, but when it got to the melodrama of the romance, I could feel the love and longing seeping through their expressions. And they are such a beautiful matching couple, I just kept admiring their visuals! Seri was also surprisingly not as annoyingly damsel in distress as I thought. I wasn't a fan of her at first, but she proves herself to be very confident and smart!
My second favorite part is the music. There is some Disney magic music going on, as I felt the feels with every soundtrack playing.
The storyline was standard. It's a very interesting concept to see into North Korea and its way of life though, as fictional as it may be. The second lead couple and their story was really just filler. They didn't really link with the main couple. They also really brush by a lot of plot holes, but this drama is expected to be super unrealistic anyways, from the moment Seri crash lands in North Korea.
I'm going to miss this cast, its music, and its feels. It was unbeatable!

Son Ye-jin is radiant as Yoon Se-ri, portraying both vulnerability and strength with natural grace. Hyun Bin as Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok is stoic yet tender, his quiet devotion expressing more than words ever could. Their chemistry is simply magical — every glance, every pause, every small smile holds entire worlds of emotion. Together, they embody a love both impossible and undeniable.
The writing is rich and layered. Beyond the romance, it offers a rare, humane look at life in North Korea, portraying friendship, loyalty, and humor amid hardship. The supporting cast — especially the lovable village women and Ri’s loyal soldiers — bring warmth and laughter, turning the series into a complete emotional universe.
Visually, “Crash Landing on You” is stunning: vast landscapes, snow-dusted mountains, and soft lighting that amplifies the show’s tender tone. The soundtrack, filled with emotional ballads and nostalgic piano themes, enhances every heartbeat of the story.
What truly makes this drama unforgettable is its sincerity. It doesn’t just tell a love story — it tells a human story about compassion, courage, and connection beyond borders.
“Crash Landing on You” is funny, thrilling, and heartbreakingly beautiful. A once-in-a-generation romance that reminds us: even when fate divides, love finds a way.

Spectacular
Have rewatched this so many times and can say that it is still amazing. The relationship between all character are beautifully told and acted out. Love RiRi couple so much first drama ever where I actually enjoy the whole drama barely skipping at all. Many have watched this already but in case someone haven’t prepare your tissues! The only thing I disliked was that I was hoping for a 2nd season until Netflix confirmed there will be none. However the ending is very good I just want to see more of Crash Landing On You. Also the behind the scenes are great to watch if you want to see more of the casts interactions.

Before watching this drama I didn't understand why it was so hyped. Now I do!
So, I am relatively new to kdramas, but my gosh this drama was absolutely worth the hours I spent watching it. For me there is nothing worse than getting to the end of the drama and feeling like you've just wasted 16+ hours of your life. I have no regrets after watching this! This drama was an absolute joy to watch! The action was amazing. The chemistry was swoon-worthy! The OST was mind-blowingly beautiful and the story was amazingly crafted! I was never bored watching this and I definitely recommend watching it if you haven't already.
One major thing I would like to point out is that although there are a few minor things I would've changed regarding the storyline, I have still given this a 10/10 because of a number of reasons:
1) I felt extremely satisfied after finishing the drama.
2) I connected with all the characters (even the women from the village in North Korea).
3) This drama took me on an emotional roller coaster ride
4) I believe that one thing that occurred in the second to last episode will have upset many people like me, and although I thought it didn't add anything to the drama I didn't make me like it any less.
Things I liked:
- The limited use of cliché (I know some people will argue with me here but to me it felt moderate and not too over the top or cheesy)
- The chemistry between the two leads *insert chef's kiss*
- The OST (stole the show multiple times)
- The mixing of genres (if you are looking for a pure romantic comedy then this is not for you) - I loved the romance, comedy, action and mystery aspects
- The realistic ending (the way they didn't ignore the whole premise of the show so that there would be a happy ending for the characters (not spoilers saying who)
- The cinematography and special effects - thumbs up the the incredible production crew behind this drama
- The characters and the acting behind them *insert face of awe*
- The story as a whole, the way in which everything fitted together and how I was hooked until the very end (didn't want to drop the drama at all)
Things I didn't like (as much):
- Parts of the second to last episode
- Some of the tiny parts which were a little slow for me
- When some characters were almost too "_" in order to add more comedy to the show
Overall, I loved this drama and would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes a rom-com with that little bit extra (action, romance and plot twists!!!
Happy Kdrama watching :) <3

Crash Landing on You
- I like how every soldier had their own personality.- Comedic scenes.
- Different from other K-Dramas.
- Music was memorable. (kind of)
- I like the attention to detail in scenes where they remove stuff that North Korea doesn't have.
- They educate viewers on what living in North Korea is really like.
- I wish there were less romantic scenes. (I wasn't too invested in the romance aspect.)

A Case of a Drama Being Overhyped
I'm not going to write a full review I'm just going to include the notes I took whilst watching this title over the course of a few weeks. I will say I thought this was really great, especially when they got experience life in South Korea so that we could see both perspectives. I've heard people talk this show up nonstop so I was expecting the ending to be just as good and instead its underwhelming. So they still live apart but date here and there when she's able to go to Switzerland or wherever it was? And con man actually did die? Dan made it sound to him like we'd be seeing him again when the writers made her say "He went far away." instead of, "He died." but nope. Apparently not. Even at the end with her mom trying to get her married I assumed he'd reappear like "Actually I pulled through!" You know, classic insane kdrama stuff. What a disappointing ending to what was a great show.
Haven't been this underwhelmed by an ending since Boys Over Flowers. Definitely don't see this as a re-watch.
So far this is pretty good. I'm not sure about their chemistry yet but I like her chemistry with the friend group.
Her siblings are the worst. Actually, the POS who scammed her brother sucks even more (minus him scamming the brother - that was good).
And I know it sucks and it's harsh but he's so right. They all RISKED THEIR LIVES to get her out of there and she didn't go. Yes, I know she gave him her blood but still.
Wow the absolute gall of Dan to be like, "Did you know she was South Korean!?" whilst you sneak around looking at South Korean wedding dresses and your mom and you bribe people with smuggled goods. Also, you yourself said you don't love him so why do you care so much!?
I thought con man and his con friend wanted her dead so they could get that money. What's this about becoming his wife to get out? What goal does that serve? They think Captain Ri will stop looking for her then?
Why was it so difficult to get her back home but the bad guy got there right away no problem?
I am SO EXCITED to see his best friend's all down in South Korea!!!
So douchebag guy gets absolutely lit up with bullets and is fine but she maybe catches one stray and is knocking on death's door?
The absolute GALL of the brother and his scheming wife to show up in the hospital.
I know I'm meant to feel bad for mom and love that she prayed for her and all that but I just don't care. "I wanted to die." So you left your kid to die? Come on.
I'm sorry but why are the brother and sister walking free? Did they not get caught trying to hire a hit man in front of an officer?
Okay, I get she loves him but she's about to get EVERYBODY shot at the border.
I'm sorry but THAT is the ending? That's wildly disappointing. And con man did actually die? Like wtf? And these two continue to live in different countries but hang out every few months in a third country? I'm so underwhelmed. Especially hearing people talk about how amazing this one is.

One of the best drama!
Crash Landing On You is a Korean drama about a rich lady from South Korea who reaches North Korea accidently, and there she meets North Korean officer who sends her back, and story continues even after her returning back to her home country. This drama is full of twists and turns and never leaves a dull moment for you.
We as viewer go through all the feelings of happiness, disappointment, joy, sadness, relief and so on. This drama keeps its viewer connected and viewer gets involved in the story so easily and effortlessly.
All main characters, side characters all performed very well and they suit best in their respective roles.
Main actor-actress, side actor-actress all are pretty.
All main 5 comrades acted very well, main villain was very good in his role.
Every one's role was well written and well presented. All performance are commendable.
The story, screen play, direction, editing, camera moments are very well executed.
Background music and background songs are very melodious.
This is a must watch drama.
If you like romcom, or trilling, adventurous, military background story, it has it all.
I really loved the portray of love between main characters.
It was shown in a classic way, they cared so much about each-other. It was touching.
This series can be watched on Netflix. It is dubbed in Japanese, Hindi, English, and some other languages. So pick up your language and watch it.
Hindi language dubbing is done well.
I highly recommend this drama to everyone.
You will enjoy it, I am sure.

Seo Dan and Gu Seung-Jun were redeemable too, although I truly think Seo Dan got the shortest end of the stick out of everyone. My only qualm in general was that ending — after all their trials and tribulations, it simply was NOT enough!! I suppose it was realistic though, so I can't dock any points for it.
I laughed, cried, and loved it all. This was one of those stories that I blasted through, only to slow down dramatically at the end in hopes of being able to prolong it just a bit more. What a lovely tale. This series has definitely opened my heart up for a whole new WORLD of entertainment.

When I saw the title, "Crash Landing On You", I was like, this HAS to be a rom-com. With a rom-com title like that, I set my expectations to every rom-com kdrama I have ever watched, and this didn't disappoint! I also thought, hey, is this a rom-com about a pilot and an air-stewardess, and don't worry it's not. (ahem) What caught my eye at first glance was the main leads! Son Ye Jin, and Hyun Bin. Omg, a match made in heaven! Age, looks, gentle looking yet strong personalities, great actors, this can only go well. (And it did!)If you came here for Rom-Com, this drama delivered! Yes a crash landing occurs, but that's not the important point, it's that - girl meets guy. Girl: a rich CEO of a beauty company; South Korean, meets Guy: a (secretly) rich and powerful son of military leader; North Korean. So through a probably (unbelieveable) fortunate or unfortunate accident, she lands right into the arms of this handsome, stoic guy, with a tragic past...This is your usual rom-com genre, but here with a twist...it's in North Korea.
Now I watched this for fun, and you shouldn't take this TOO seriously, I mean, North Korea? Although their love story goes through many ridiculous events, hold your disbelief, and just enjoy it. Look, I get that the producers tried their best to keep the setting to look realistic, it honestly did, but the stakes just didn't make it real enough. The village she gets lost in, where, very conveniently, Hyun Bin lives in, becomes a cute little place where our leads learn to trust each other and for whatever reason, the fear of being in North Korea never feels realistic there, since Hyun Bin with his muscled up physique is there with (us) and its Hyun Bin, who aces at playing the guy who always has it in control...not that Son Ye Jin plays a damsel in distress quite completely. No, we have a girl who although strong, is out of her depth in North Korea. Although the cinematography is beautiful and most of the time, it looks like they had a love story out in the countryside, it really did not make any sense of how dangerous it truly would have been in North Korea, nor did the story allow it to be. Here, we only really interact with the elites, who, with their connections, guns and money make her situation quite non-dynamic.
Nevertheless, there are some gun shots, some side stories with Seo Dan and her love story. I do love the four other soldiers antics, and the villager ladies as well, however they did not get much to do other than marvel at every South Korea with wide eyes, and we can appreciate all of the Hallyu stuff is, the main story is the love story, which has no complains here. It's beautiful, you can see how he slowly falls in love with her, how pure-hearted they both are, and similar values they have..and they are one heck of a good-looking couple, and the chemistry IS there, however a little too PG in here to go to an 8 for story. It's completely unbelievable that in their age, this is all it ends up to. But I digress. I didn't quite believe Seo Dan chemistry with the other lead, though I love the idea of their relationship. I skipped any parts to do with Son Ye Jin's nasty rich family, because, it was so tropey, I could have predicted all their lines in my head, and you get the gist - they suck. However a strength of this drama is how they manuever with Rom -Com tropes- it's there, but they call it out and make fun of some, to cut of the cringe before it can set in, and it is peppered throughout WITH caution, so don't worry too much.
This drama main strengths are its main love story, its cautious writing, its cinematography and its MUSIC. By God, the music is beautiful, and everything I love about folk or if you love IU, so that's why I gave an 8 overall. CLOY is easy-going, it won't waste episodes, you get what you are expecting, and you get Hyun Bin looking his very best (just watch this for his hair, and a guy in a uniform haha) and Son Ye Jin getting the perfect boyfriend you'd ever wished for.

It did start of good and unique, I loved all the parts in North korea ones but did get slightly bored at the other half. The only part which I disliked the most was overusing the " I have met you before its fate" type of gliche. I would have been more happy if they just randomly met as total strangers with no gliche parts which they made A LOT. I started liking the second leads more, they felt more realistic with the way it went but also dissappointing for how it ended especially for our second lead girl who did not deserve such fate. Story is unique but romance very gliche but a lot of the characters were fun to watch. If you don't mind how unrealistic it can be and just focus on the symbolism side its not so bad. What wasn't gliche was mainly about second lead not going into full asshole mode like it is in most dramas whenever there is love rivalry going on. So that part was refreshing and Dan did end up becoming my favourite in this show and then her quirky mother. The rewatch value for me is never high but id probably rewatch it after a couple of years has passed. It did have a lot of funny scenes which I enjoyed a lot and knowing more about North Korea especially when the train stops scene which was one of my favourites.
