Best Korean Romance Drama of the decade

This is one of the best dramas I have ever watched, It is simply amazing. Besides the lead actors who have scorching chemistry we have a stellar ensemble cast which includes the amazing second leads with contrasting personalities, north korean comrades, Cho cheol Gang, North Korean millitary village ladies, Seo dan's mother and uncle and Captain Ri's father. Each one of them shines in their respective roles. Every scene shot in Switzerland is breath - taking
I loved the first 10 episodes more, They are outstanding ! However in the later episodes some sub plots like Captain Ri and Cho Cheol Gang coming to South Korea by digging a tunnel seem illogical and far fetched. Similarly the way NIS of South Korea warmed up to RiRi couple's love story was a bit too much...also how Captain Ri's father casually kills a very important North korean officer (Director of Millitary to be precise) in an attempt to protect his son is over the top. The actors and story is so good that you tend to overlook gaps like these...
Besides the flawless acting and overall gripping storyline, CLOY has an amazing OST. Make sure you don't miss this one out!

Perfect

Perfect story, perfect acting, perfect chemistry. Love how they manage to set the difference between two countries.

Don't ask about hyun bin and ye jin's chemistry, it is 100% genuine love.

But hellooo the ending?? I'm not disappointed, only sad because seung jun also deserves a happy ending imo. Cause ngl his trope is soo cute actually🥲

I cried so much both sad and happy tears. Like so many tears🤧🤧

But yeah, afterall just watch it anyway you wouldn't regret it.

I wish I started watching this series on a Friday or Saturday, I probably would have finished it in one go. Great acting from the cast. The dialogues were funny. Hyun Bin as Ri Jeong Hyeok what can I say - dreamy, manly, sweet, funny. The four plus one sidekicks were a fun bunch of adorkables, they looked great suited up - Pyo Chi Su actually looked the best in suit amongst the five. Kim Jung Hyun was great as Gu Seung Jun - switching from being funny, serious and villainy. The village ladies were cool. I liked that they did not drag on unneccessary misunderstandings. Did not dwell too much on political stuff. A balanced mix of comedy and drama. A great watch!

This One Tops the Charts!

This is one of the best Kdramas I have ever seen.

The story, acting, production value and everything in between was stellar! 10 stars!

Here's what I liked:

1. The characters felt developed
Each one of them had a story, a personality, and a reason for being the way that they were. I loved delving deeper into the show and learning more about their backgrounds. There was always something more to discover.

2.This show kept me guessing
The horrifying situation Se Ri found herself in twisted and turned in ways I never expected. I sat with rapt attention, theories spinning through my mind. Just when I thought I'd figured it out, the plot developed into so much more than I'd imagined. The writing in this show was spectacular.

3. Ri Jeong Hyeok
Really, what further explanation is needed? In a country that persecutes religion, he was the most Christ-like character I have seen in Korean media. His selflessness, patience, kindness, innocence and willful sacrifice made him an exemplary character. I will admit, I swoon for Ri Jeong Hyeok.

4. Their portrayal of North Koreans
I loved how they depicted North Koreans and showed us that they're just like anyone else--they just happen to live in a country that employs an oppressive regime. The people lived under the rules, and they followed them, but they still joked and laughed and lived their lives the way anyone with meager supplies and a good outlook on life would. They were wonderful characters, and I think they show many people that North Koreans are normal human beings, too.

5. Se Ri
I enjoyed watching Se Ri's character develop and blossom as she learned to love and be loved. Although in the beginning she was closed off and cold, underneath it all she had a beautiful heart. She just needed someone willing to care enough to see it.

6. Lighthearted moments
The comedy relief was enjoyable and I felt it was always at the right time when I needed some levity after the heavy scenes. I also loved some of the familial dynamics between the main and side characters.

What I didn't like:

While the rest of the story was really developed, the end felt rather unfinished and abrupt. Some events that occurred in the final episodes seemed to come out of the blue and didn't make sense to me. I felt some things could have been left out or handled differently (Gu Seung Joon). But that is just my opinion.
I also felt we missed out or didn't see enough towards the end of Se Ri and Ri Jeong Hyeok's story. It all felt somewhat hasty and dreamlike towards the end. I would have liked to see at least another episode or two allowing us to say goodbye to these beloved characters and tie up loose ends. I understand with production costs and time this might not have been possible.

Content: (This section may include spoilers. Please proceed at your own risk!)

During a random inspection, a man and woman are caught having an affair. Nothing sexual is shown. The woman is seen hiding in the closet wrapped in a blanket, while the man cowers under the bed in his underwear.

The main leads kiss several times.

Trucks designed for murdering people are used. We see them ram into cars with people inside two different times. We see a man bleeding from the head during one of the crashes.
One of the cars rammed by a truck falls off a cliff and explodes.
A woman stands in fear, looking at a truck coming towards her, but we don't see anything. Later we hear that she has died.

Several gun fights involving life-threatening wounds occur. Some characters die or come close to death from being shot.

Guns are often brandished.

Attackers wield knives and sticks.

As a sensitive watcher, I was bothered by the violent content, but not so much that I felt the need to discontinue watching the show. The good far outweighs the bad, and the fight against evil is pure and unwavering. I would recommend this drama to anyone 15 and up, with a caution for sensitive viewers. Happy watching, and I hope you enjoy! <3

Love That Crosses Borders, Ideologies, and Fate

This drama doesn’t just fall in love. It crashes into your heart and stays there.

Crash Landing on You is sweeping, tender, and unapologetically emotional. What begins as an improbable accident turns into one of the most heartfelt love stories in K-drama history. The romance feels epic without losing its intimacy, balancing political tension with deeply personal stakes.

Yoon Se-ri and Ri Jeong-hyeok are written with care and restraint. Their love grows through protection, patience, and quiet sacrifice rather than grand declarations. Every look, every shared silence, carries weight. The drama understands that love, at its purest, is choosing someone even when staying together feels impossible.

The supporting cast adds richness and warmth. The village dynamics, friendships, and found family moments soften the gravity of the setting and give the story its soul. Humor and heartbreak coexist beautifully, making the emotional payoff feel earned rather than manipulative.

What elevates Crash Landing on You is its sincerity. It doesn’t mock hope or minimize sacrifice. It allows love to be brave, gentle, and enduring even when the world insists otherwise.

💖 10/10 for timeless romance, emotional depth, and a story that proves some love stories are worth every impossible mile.

A masterpiece ?

Crash Landing on You is a masterpiece that lingers long after the final episode. The chemistry between Yoon Se-ri and Ri Jeong-hyeok is pure magic, blending romance, humor, and heartache flawlessly. The storytelling, cinematography, and OST create an unforgettable experience. A true K-drama gem!💎

Something unexpected

Let me tell you that this drama put me in tear more than once. As I begun to watch this drama, I did not expect it to be as good as it proved itself to be. It got the perfect mixture of action filled with one of the most heartfelt romances. I admit that it took a few episodes to get into the drama fully and for the plot to improve, but it was definitely worth it. The main couple also delivered amazing chemistry on-stage, not to mention the incredible acting over-all by Hyun Bin. Their relationship felt very normal and believable, it came naturally and they displayed such emotion. There's little to nothing to criticize, however some scenes were unecessary and sometimes made the drama difficult to watch in-between the main plot. The last few episodes were full of suspense and heartache.

Is this drama worth watching?

Yes! Yes! Yes! A hundred times yes! definitely one of the best dramas I’ve watched so far. Been putting of watching it for way to long, but so happy that I finally chose to watch it! The plot, the acting, the OST, literally everything was *chef’s kiss*. Not a moment during the entire show was boring and I couldn’t take my eyes off the tv through all of it. If you’re thinking about watching it, DO IT! You won’t regret even a minute of it. Though be prepared to bawl your eyes out a few times😅

Crash Landing On You is indeed a masterpiece!

I've been watching Asian dramas since early 2000. There are hardly any dramas that I can watch repeatedly but CLOY is an exception. I watched this drama more than 3 times, and I always get the same feeling, anticipation, joy, and giddy feelings.

There are so much warmth and feelings in this masterpiece. You don't need someone to experience romance, just watch CLOY! Lol! You can experience the sincerity and depth of each portrayal. I never skipped any scenes (which I usually do in some dramas, especially when the supporting role acts got too boring and draggy). I must say that this drama has one of the best supporting roles in the whole kdramaland!

Ri Jeong Hyeok and Yoon Se-Ri scenes are sweet, cozy, deep, and warm. No need for too much physical and kissing scenes, their glances and bickering scenes will give you enough giddy feelings. Ugh, kilig!

The plot and storyline, character development, chemistry, cinematography, and portrayal made Crash Landing On You one of the best drama in the world.

All time favourite

i rarely give shows 10/10 and even if the overall rating is a 10, there's usually aspects that are less than—story, acting, etc.

but this!!! as far as acting and soundtracks go, this has never disappointed me once. to the point where i was looking up covers upon covers for the ost... it's that good. the casting doesn't need my two cents to describe how good it is, but the chemistry between the leads definitely translated in practice. inspired me to watch more of their works too!

the humour, pacing, and plot were all amazing to me. every rewatch has given me something to be excited for, and sometimes i notice a lot of things i hadn't noticed the first time. seriously, job well done on this drama. has to be my favourite kdrama thus far

This was such a beautiful, romantic and immensely touching story. I ended up feeling so connected to many of the characters. Therefore, I cried and laughed countless times. I learned a lot, the cast was absolutely perfect and the cinematography was gorgeous. It was interesting to see so many perspectives too. I adored, in general, the relationships between characters from enemy countries coming together as friends/lovers.

I have to say, I wouldn't change a thing. I didn't mind that each episode was so long because I was always hooked. It had a wonderful ending too so I was left feeling very satisfied with how it all turned out! I hope all fellow kdrama enthusiasts will watch this one :)

Love everything about CLOY! Who doesn't, anyway? The plot is unique and will really "hook" you from start to finish. The chemistry of the lead actors (and even the 2nd lead couple) are very evident - they are believable. The ending may have been a bit open-ended (for me), but is more "realistic" than one of them defecting. The entire ensemble is also commendable - while they have their individual "stories" to tell, their group dynamics made the drama more entertaining and put-together that they deserve to win an award as a team.
