This drama is a bad copy of the taiwanese drama In Time with You. Really there is not liaison between the two dramas, but quite similar. The same love triangle between the girl whose boyfriend a playboy who does not fit at all with she, and the best friend in love with her without telling him. And this also is waiting forever for the girl noticing and take a decision. The romance is poor and bland, even though the main couple is cute. Definitely lack passion!

At the end still it gets more boring! with things that did not interest us at all.

The main players are well into their roles. The problem is that drama it lacks the scenes where they can display their talents.

Not recommend this to anyone. Only if you want to see Zhang Han and his cute smile! because basically that's all it was worth!

Best Chinese Romance drama

I am so sad that Godfrey Gao is no more...get to know him in this Queen of SOP...Gone too soon 😭
And what make me more sad was that he died while Filming.....😭😭...Its so heart wrenching...to hear we lose a Handsome Gem😭

Big Fans of Zhang Han forever 💚💚💚💚

I am giving 5 stars as i got to learn a lot by watching this drama...I have watched a lot of Korean and Chinese dramas...But am literally saying this drama tought me what's is love?.. It's cleared all my doubts...i have been searching what true love means...And finally i could got all my answers...I am really great full to the writer to write such an amazing story...Not only him but also the director and production team...They could build such an lovely drama with lots of love and affection...In this drama you will literally feel your heart when the leads character cry...They gave their best.. even once you will not feel you are watching a drama rather seeing it's actually...I felt it... Their acting skills was amazing...They could feel each and every moment and that will really make you to cry..
I really adore their acting skills even at a time i thought it's all to be real.. it's the best drama i have watched ever...I guess it will always be best in my heart for rest of my life...I really love this drama a lot...I love it..💜💜 It's said me what is the actual meaning of love...And am thinking if one day i could meet my better half i will definitely watch this drama with him.. Well i will stop here... hope one day i could meet the writer and the leads...🙃🙃

In this drama, Zhang Han and Joe Chen both acted really good! I liked this drama because the main actors/actresses acted really well together and really connected well together. To begin with, this drama is mostly about a love triangle between Xiao Jie(Joe Chen), Tang Jun/Tom(Zhang Han), and Zi Qi(Godfrey Gao).

Looks Better Than It Acts

I couldn’t even finish it. The cliché tropes were overwhelming. Usually I can tolerate or even enjoy predictable plot points if the story or chemistry between the leads is strong, but here, neither aspect worked.

The storyline is painfully formulaic. Two rich lead falls in love with a plain, relatable girl. The female lead being in love with the second male lead, but he didn't appreciate her as he was still hung up with his ex. There is always the ex who cannot let go of the past, creating conflict that feels recycled rather than compelling. Once the second male lead wakes up and smells reality, he wants the female lead who is on the process of getting over the second male lead. None of these arcs bring anything fresh, and the pacing struggles because the drama stretches minor conflicts far too long.

Jiang Coco as Bai Ji Qing was… something else. Her acting was cringe worthy and over the top. She constantly seemed to be trying too hard to appear sexy and intimidating, which came across as forced rather than natural. There were moments where her expressions and tone were so exaggerated that it pulled me out of the story entirely.

Supporting characters are largely underdeveloped, serving as plot devices rather than fully realized people. There is little emotional depth, and comedic or dramatic moments often land awkwardly instead of naturally. The dialogue does not help either, it swings between melodrama and forced quirkiness, leaving scenes feeling artificial.

Overall, The Queen of SOP is a textbook example of style over substance. Between over the top acting, tacky costumes, and an entirely predictable plot, the drama fails to engage. Unless you are watching purely for background entertainment, there is little here worth investing your time in.
