Both have a circumstance where two police men who are completely different (one easygoing and one serious) from each other have to team together to solve a big case.
Both have only speckles of love in them and there is a lot of comedy for both of them as well.

Both dramas have good action and thrilling moments. While City Hunter is more of a revenge drama, both dramas have enjoyable moments and the viewing experience is similar.

Both deal with smart, butt-kicking detectives that will do almost anything to catch the criminal. Also, the male leads in each have a hidden, dark past.

The brotherhood is real! Although one is modern time and the other one is ancient times, the plots of each case or "crime" committed is super interesting. Plus, the romance in both is super cute.

Partner investigation. One of the 1st chinese drama I've appreciate the bonding between happy&grumpy guy.

Both are crime related dramas where the protagonists are up against an extremely powerful and influential organization that's behind some huge conspiricy. Also, both will keep you guessing.
