Although I would like to say season 1 and 2 are different in story line but the concept is still there. I recommend both seasons because it entails life lessons and different medical cases. It portrays realistic situations and good research.
-Both have 3 main cast which does not contain triangle relationship
- Both have mentor-mentee dynamic, as one of the main cast is a more senior doctor and also their superior
- The stories focus on patients
- The cases in this show are critical. The hospital in Dr. Romantic is located in an accident prone area, the hospital in The Heart is a specialised that deal with patients that have heart issues which are often time sensitive and critical.
- The romance part is slight in both stories.
- The scene setup looks real in both stories. Like I can believe they are hospitals that have been around for ages with how “old” they look.
- Both stories showcase nurses too.

Academic rivals in school to lovers.
Dr. Romantic 2 is a medical show but the leads have a similar push pull and full of chemistry relationship as do the younger leads in LYE.
There is also a time jump in both shows from when they were in school to adult life except on Dr. a romantic 2 the actors remain the same throughout which makes it much better.

Han Seok Kyu's characters are really similar. The cool doctor Kim Sa Bu becomes Mr. Shin that may look like an ordinary chicken shop owner, but he's the kind of person who appears just in time-when tempers flare, fists are about to fly, and chaos looms-to cool things down with one sharp, satisfying line that settles everything.
