'Elegance' and Crime

It was a different kind of gangster movie. I would say it was more of a family movie than a gangster movie.

What this movie did the best was to describe the difficulty of leaving the crime life whether in the form of an actual hindrance, or even mentally.

It was a long movie for me and the first half felt boring, but it was worth it in the end because you can really see the contrast between the slow boring days and the high energy moments in the end.

The visuals are beautifully full of contrast and I love the music, I love how it drove the mood around, it was serious and then when the music appeared it almost felt comedic.

The acting was convincing, everyone did great and the family relations feel realistic, that realism actually might be a part of why the first half feels boring.

The most interesting part for me surprisingly is seeing how other people react to this movie. Everyone seemed to have a different take on the main character and that is probably a bigger commentary than the movie itself.
