Both have a cop and some victims returning to an old closed case. Also, they both revolve around people confessing to crimes and these confessions being doubted. Also, they both have "Confession" in the title (lols).

Its a the same creepy , exiting unexpected story line.. the casting perfectly and scenes are neatly done.. you'll love it indeed!!!try me.!

Great acting, a lot of suspense, and although the overall outcome might be predictable for some viewers, the movies are absorbing and kept me glued to the screen.

Mohouhan and Confession of Murder have different plot but they have some similar things too, for examples: a serial killer, a book, and how mass media was involved in the case.

Both movies focus one a criminal who reaches out via a live broadcast. Both movies have a live debate with the culprit. However Terror Live is more intense.

Confession of Murder resembles Murderer Report in its examination of guilt, public morality, and the tension between legal justice and emotional truth. Both question whether society can—or should—separate accountability from repentance, and how media exposure can distort justice, turning trauma into spectacle while blurring ethical responsibility.

Both deal with trying to solve a crime around the time the statue of limitations expiring.

The 2017 version is a Japanese Remake of the Korean Version. Tatsuya Fujiwara is brilliant here as Park Shi Hoo was in the first one.
