Sweet romance
Like many others, I too felt that the age difference between the ML and FL would make their romance difficult. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the both played it.He shows his love by his actions and not by his words.
The SML played his role well and left no hard feelings.
The parents were great and welcoming, although not supportive of her choice of career the ML always spoke positively about her talent.
If your looking for a funny and sweet romance this is definitely one to watch.

Maybe I expected too much⊙︿⊙
When I found out Shen Yue was the actress in CYLS I was excited and really had high hope for this drama after watching her in ALSB and Meteor's Garden,but this wasn't the case for this drama.*STORY: the story was the main reason I didn't like this drama,it was just talking about business,clothes,design,luck... I'll personally say there wasn't any romance just flirting. Though Jerry Yan and Shen Yue saved the drama with their chemistry despite the huge age difference they really got good chemistry together,they were the main reason I continued watching CYLS lol. Tong Xiao You got two best friends Ru Ru and wen xi who had her back and their friendship was pretty good. At first wen xi was getting on my nerves but her character grew and I completely fell for her character,she was cute and stood up for her friend when she was needed. Jian Yan was the annoying one from beginning to end and she was obsessed with Lu xing Cheng but I admired her fashion sense in the drama.
*ACTING/CAST: THE acting was really good,the characters did their best. Jerry portrayed lu xing Chen's character and it's my first time watching him act and I can say he's really a good actor. Shen yue did well ask always and the character Daly was really funny. Miles Wei who played Lu Yah Zhi did so well and his character wasn't annoying because he didn't come between the ML and FL,he was just the good friend that FL needed.
*MUSIC: the music was nice and its going to be on repeat after now hehe
*RE WATCH VALUE: am definitely not going to re watch #sorrynotsorry
*OVERALL: The ending was okay like every other ending, the character development was kind of slow and I was happy because there wasn't much family crisis and the truth wasn't hidden for long so yea it was a good drama overall. *I just expected too much*
PS* my review is just my thoughts and how I feel about CYLS. I will say you should give it a try you might like it more than I did^^

All the characters are fun to watch. Ruru, Daly, Wenxi are at thier best. Go watch it. It gets interesting after few epsiodes. Dont get carried away with negative comments. If you are expected for cute and fluffy scenes like High school and college romance then for obvious reasons its a MODERN DRAMA. i hope the review was helpful.

Cute and unique rom-com drama
Im in ove with the OSTtitled "I Really Like You" sung by Jerry Yan and Shen Yue ❤❤❤.
Drama meaning is that your harwork and love for your passion and dream is more important than believing in your Luck.
Honestly, it wasnt that perfect drama for some editing reason and Jerry Yan' dubbing voice. But it was really nice to watch, heart fluttering and you'll love the chemistry on screen. I dont mind the age gap at all for it is extremely cute, unique pair and they are adorable together.
🌺🌺 Jerry Yan is still sensational and charismatic as always. You still fall in love with him like the way you love him back then in Meteor Garden.
🌸🌸 Shen Yue's blooming, she is improved and getting matured in her acting skill.
🌺🌺 Miles Wei (the second male lead) is cute and irresistable, he has a good chemistry with Shen Yue. I like his character genuine, gentle and caring.

A definite top of my list
This drama was amazing. I read complaints about the lack of cute couple scenes between our two main leads but I feel like these scenes often occurred when they weren't together which amplified their chemistry throughout the show. The first 20 episodes were impeccable, I didn't feel the need to skip scenes and it was generally a really good watch. However, I felt like once a certain character was introduced, they dragged their issues in the show for too long and that's when I began skipping scenes. I would definitely re-watch this drama when I want to see a cute couple with minimal conflict between them directly.Was this review helpful to you?
Incredible amount of positive energy come out of this drama! Great mood lifter!
I give this drama a 10. It has been awhile since I totally enjoy a wholesome drama, especially a Chinese one. The amount of positive energy coming out from this drama is incredible! It is a great mood lifter for a time such as this (with the pandemic). There is no compulsory illegitimate bed scene that I have to endure through. The storyline is good. In very gentle loving ways, the writer shows the audience the different ways of love. He/she teaches the audience some very valuable lessons in love that I think are quite necessary these days. Everything in the storyline makes sense. The characters are believable and relatable. Acting of everyone is excellent. Jerry Yan is exceptionally good. Every piece of muscle on his face conveys something significant. He did an amazing job in portraying a very dark and complicated character LXC. The chemistry between him and Shen Yue is excellent. He definitely looks a lot younger than 42. LXC is 35. The FL TXY is 24. It is a believable couple. Not only I enjoy the chemistry between the ML and FL, I enjoy the chemistry of the whole team. Overall this is a sweet funny well written drama with great acting. I would like to see more of these kind of work in the future.Was this review helpful to you?

I am not able to decide , wheather I like the drama or not...
Everyday ,I wait for this drama to get Eng sub ,so it is shown that I have interest in drama but as ending was approaching I had so many expectations with this drama . In starting of the drama ,Jerry Yan's character was bold and strict and extrovert .The charcter had an accident and due to some reasons he was starting living with Shen Yue , after this this character's personality suddenly changed ,he started speak less ,shy character ,having so much in heart which had been seen in his face but unable to say .He felt jealous but not do much by his actions ,this character become boring . In some scenes of the drama had been shown that female lead's actress father so much concerned about his daughter's life , about her marriage . . So I thought at the end he would proposed her and get marry but nothing happened like that . I had seen more chemistry between other two pairs and like that too but I had more expectations with them ,I want more ,I felt something is missing in their part ( main lead character) ,their friends pairing is far better then them . So for me it is 50 - 50 drama ,not so good but not so bad.Was this review helpful to you?

The BEST CHEMISTRY: Jerry Yan and Shen Yue
I really really like to watch this drama because the chemistry between Jerry Yan and Shen Yue make me feel giddiness and amazing even they’ve issued about age gaps. But for me, it won't any problem at all in fact, their chemistry is too sweet and natural. They didn't try hard to portray their characters. Just natural and their feeling also deep into the characters. I think the build of emotional and acting of them is so so realisticI really love Jerry Yan since Meteor Garden. His skill of acting undeniable. He portrayed as Lu Xincheng in amazing way and make the audience believe he was the fashion designer. So natural acting!
I like Shen Yue too. She portrayed as Tong Xiao You in matured and cute. Her skills are more improve rather than before.
And also I like how the supporting characters in this drama success to being in their characters especially the villains. It’s make you feel annoyed and want to punch them sometimes 😂😂 and the protagonist like Wen Xi, RURU, Mu Yang, BAO and DALY, they light up with smile and laugh 😆

Had higher expectations for this drama. Really wanted to like it but i felt it was just kind of average for me. To start off there has been many dramas revolving around the fashion industry. This was kind of typical.... like the rookie designer vs famous designer. Female lead is an unlucky girl who loves the fashion industry, she strives to be a fashion designer but always runs into problems. Male lead is a cold, sharp tongue and experienced designer. They accidentally kissed when resulted in the switching of luck. I love Jerry Yan, even tho he's like in his 40s. He is still hella hot. I love his acting in this drama. His facial expressions/ micro facial expressions are so cute. Female Lead - shen yue also does a good job, she is very cute and lovable. I find the paring extremely cute.
There isnt a whole lot of romancy scenes. So far been one peck on the lips and couple on the forehead. I might be old school but i was waiting for this whole time to confirm their relationship...its like 20 something ep in and still no confirmation or like further romantic plot development. I mean even male's lead best friend beat him to it.
The story to me was kinda slow and honestly nothing to exciting. Like they just show the female lead working and sometimes designing but its mot interesting enough. And why is it that when the male lead and female lead are in the same profession, she usually works in a another company , and not the male lead? in the story, the male lead has a tragic accident when he was young, which caused him having a cold personality. The development of that could of been smoother.
The music in this drama was especially good :)

I’m not sure why I’ve put off watching this although I’ve come across it so many times. I count myself lucky because i finally did and totally enjoyed it. Here’s why:First, I’m a sop for romance and this story has a great one. So as not to spoil it for you, I just want to give brief highlights.
ML has endured the pain of guilt of something that happened which wasn’t his fault but nevertheless painful. FL is someone who desired to be a fashion designer but always felt she brought about bad luck. Their interactions weave a tale that may sound familiar in others you’ve read or watched. The pair that seemed to not get along journeyed on a path involving overcoming hurdles of self doubt, inner turmoil, but strong support for each other.
The cast. Jerry Yan. My goodness he’s a great actor. He has emotional scenes that you can’t help but be greatly affected because of his acting. He really gets into the role and his pain will probably be much more felt bc you can’t help but pity him as you practically feel his hurt. Yes he’s very handsome but I really enjoy his work to care about those things.
Shen Yue. I think this is my first drama watching her. She’s a budding good actress. I love her character, kind, considerate, fun, and devoted. She played her part well, nothing coy but just natural. I’m a new fan and her smile? Contagious.
Wei Zhe Ming. Now I do know this actor and one of my favorites. Though he was second lead, he was very much liked. His character was sort of sad but in the end, things worked out. Though it’s totally unfair to me not to list them all, every other cast members were great contributors to this made story. The parents of Shen Yues character were so wonderful. We all know and have seen real nasty selfish drama parents but here, in them at least, they showed how parents should be…kind, supportive. The friends of fl and their boyfriends were also so cute.
Note of warning. The common complaint from so many is the lack of clothes type worn by Jerry Lans character. Yeah, but so? Letting you know in advance if it’s gonna be a problem for you. To me, yes I noticed but I was too invested in the story itself not be a big deal. Whatever reason it was for lack, I’m sure it’s not actors fault. Or he’s like me, not caring how many times I wear something as long as I’m comfortable??
Second warning is age gap. I don’t know what it is that bothers people (of course they have right to their own) but the way these leads carried out their roles was nothing short of true love and adoration for each other. They were the perfect pair and no gap is in it except maybe In people’s twisted thinking. Let these two things not deter you. This is definitely worth the watch and spoiler…………..ending kiss to a happy couple. Oh yeah, NEVER FORGET, the ost, is so endearingly inserted throughout im humming it as i write. Thanks.

Maybe my expectation was too high
Honestly i don’t have any objection about the Chemistry Between main leads. Their chemistry was pretty much good.. And 2nd male lead was also very handsome.. I liked him too.. And Their acting was Awesome..But what i didn’t like about the drama is the main story.. I Don't understand why they have 34 episodes for this terrific story..
I was expecting more adorable scenes Between main leads.. I was also expecting some scenes between 2nd male lead and Main female lead..
But all i found is their negative planning /plotting Against main leads
I m still not getting it why people liked the drama so much.. I guess may be for the actors..
But for me It was Just another Drama with full of villains around leads..
So i won’t say it was a worth watching drama for me surely
