This drama is quite entertaining even though it is quite slow in pace at first. But once Li Qian starts flirting in earnest, you cant help but fall in love alongside baoning. Lol.

However, there is quite a few glaring problem with the plot. The scriptwriters imo appear to be having somewhat short term-memory regarding their own plot. For example, at first, the Li Family is flaunted as quite a powerful family, so much so that the Cao Empress Dowager rushed to recruit them to her side and cant wait to promote Li Qian to a higher position to get into the Li Family’s good book. However, after 10 episodes, after baoning’s marriage into the Li Family, the writer wrote them as if the princess is doing the Li Family so much favour by marrying down to them, and it seems that now the Li Family has nil a value anymore? Also, at first, Gao Miaorong is introduced as a miracle doctor, who even top doctor in the capital know for her intelligence and mastery. Then out of the sudden, 10 episodes later, Gao Miaorong is turned into a convenient (albeit an annoying) villain, wrecking havoc in the Li Mansion, being so freely walking around, not even a hint of her supposedly grand mastery in medicine is seen? 🙄

And oh my god, zhao xiao ah zhao xiao. Where to start with you? As a character, zhao xiao is everything that is annoying, hard headed to the point of stupidity, thick faced (baoning doesnt like youuuuu please just go awayyyy), and also incompetent but stupidly arrogant. It’s a pity, because i rather like you at first. And wang zhuocheng? I rather admit that i am rather fond of you, coming from a diehard fan of the untamed, but i must say that zhuocheng’s acting skill needs to be polished more. Sometimes, i cant help but cringe at certain parts. However, seeing that he is still quite a newcomer, i am sure he will improve in future.

Not to mention, who the heck wrote the han tongxin character?? Is the scriptwriter non chinese or what?? This is my first time seeing such a character for an empress. Not only is the empress is depicted such a greedy and jealous woman (which is a usual case in harem drama), but how come she is also so stupid? Who the hell insult the grand empress dowager to her face, questioning her authority and repeatedly arguing with the emperor face to face?? In other dramas, such a feat wont even make her last a day in the harem. Lol. Please be more realistic, would you scriptwriters? *shakinghead

Other questionable plot by the authors:
1. Just who the hell is Marquis Jinghai supposed to be?? He’s just a marquis, but can enter the palace and harem everytime and basically at his convenience? 🙄 Other palace dramas basically depict how hard it is for outsiders, even a qin wang cannot just enter the palace at will unless summoned or during court, even worse entering the harem
2. Qin Yu’s death. Too unrealistic. Someone attempted to murder your mom, and you dont even capture the perpetrator yet, but you, as a son, let your mother go to secluded riverside alone on her merry way?? 🙄
3. The hell happen with the usurping the yongqing’s throne? You ambush thr palace and evryone go on your merry way? Qing An is not even in Yongqing to stabilise the power change! Dont get me started on how easily Siqin got abducted 🙄🙄
4. The salutation sometimes were mixed up. For example, the officer addressing baoning still as ‘jinzhu’ when she is already promoted to ‘gongzhu’. Also, a few time, servants address li qian still as ‘da gongzhi’ instead of ‘wangye’ when he was already conferred as Lord Xin. Small thing, but when added up, still irks me. Lol
5. The end fighting is so anticlimactic imho. And doesnt make that much sense either. Not only the soldiers count are too little (who fought an ultimate war with just 11 people anyway? 🙄), the one on one fight between li qian and qing tai while everyone sits around also doesnt make sense. Hellooooo this is not a friendly match for hand-in-marriage! Lol. And qing an just stands around doing nothing?? The hellll. That really botch the ending
6. Lastly, this is not the plot, but i found that the production team doesn’t make use of the ost much, just for the opening and ending and that one song that they usually used for qing an and dongzhi’s scenes

Putting all those aside though, there are a few things that i must commend on. I think the fight choreograph is quite well done. It looks cool whenever there is a one-to-one fight/small fight. I cant really commend on the army fighting though. As usual, it is hard to execute a realistic army fight/war battle if you dont have a big enough budget. And as mentioned above, the ending ‘war’ is the ultimate botch for ‘big army fight’

The costumes are also things that can be commended on. Baoning’s costumes especially are really nice and flowy. So pretty! Li Qian also got quite an array of nice and elaborate costumes. And i found, the set is appropriate and well executed, especially the sets in the palace. The furnitures and everything looks quite lavish and convincing.

The acting if baoning’s personal maid (qingke) is consistently commendable in my opinion. Far cry from her acting as a spoiled princess in Blooms in Ruyi Pavillion. Qing An’s also is quite a natural

The chemistry between baoning and li qian imo is the main thing that carries this drama for me. I’ve always like JJY since LoYX and TBARP, and joseph zheng since TFaYAH, so it was nice to have these two in a drama together. I may not rewatch this in the future but JJY and JZ are what definitely encourage me to complete this series despite the many flaws in the plot.

Good acting and Love this couple SO much

this drama is very good and i really like jujingyi and Joseph's acting is very good but disappointed with the writer and director why many scenes of the main character were cut and and very different from the novels i read why so many bullies and unimportant characters in this drama should conflict from the middle and why does it have to be at the end of an episode like this, there are only 2 episodes left hopefully everything goes well and I really like jujingyi and joseph even Joseph's acting is amazing dy can really deepen the role, this drama is really romantic and simple jjy and Joseph are a very harmonious couple and suitable..hope can see this cp back again in new drama

I am quite happy with the many mixed comments. some of them I agree that this drama gives too much room for antagonist players. but some of them become heart healers is the chemistry of the main character, and also the Ost they have. ju jing yi and joseph have tried hard as main players. no matter how criticized it was an unexpected result. too many things that can't be revealed to the audience who don't know why this drama became like this. because there is a saying that those who don't like it will never care about the good side. as well as people who don't like the female lead to the point of trying hard to bring her down and giving subjective reviews unrelated to the content of the drama. there are some aspects of the drama that can be said to be good and some parts involved in the production.

Just because you don't like the players, don't drop them all. accessories, makeup and characters have been adjusted as much as possible. please don't equate the character in yunxi a poison healer doesn't understand dressing up with the role of a noble woman especially a princess who carries the image of the empire. if you want to make it that way, it's better to just make the role of a bum. lol.

by the way, I recommend this drama in certain parts. for several reasons that I know after seeing direct evidence I choose to ignore the antagonist and focus on the main player. I don't care about bad reviews, because I know there are always three sides to the truth, namely the point of view of the ignorant, the side of the view of those who know, and the truth of the reason why the drama ended up like this by all the parts that produced it. Finally, thank you to the scriptwriter who managed to make high blood pressure, the crew and staff who worked well, the cast who willingly accepted and took responsibility until the end of this drama with a 3.8 douban rating, an amazing 1.2 B audience. I'm sure you've tried your best.

Zhao Xiao - the Village Idiot!! But he did a good job playing his role .

J**sus H C**st !!! THIS ACTOR portraying as Wang Zhuo Cheng as Zhao Xiao -- must be the "Village Idiot". Firstly, he hated Joseph Zeng playing as Li Qianhe, the reason was that according to his distorted mind that Li Qianhe (main male lead) stolen the bride (main female lead) without thinking that it was the "Bandit, Qing Tai" whom the engagement did not go through. Secondly, the Village Idiot almost annihilated the battalion with his stupidity. Thirdly, he tried to help the main female lead picking\handling the snake with his own hand and of course the snake bit him on the finger. Then after that, he saw the man who let lose the snake and wanted to kill him, but the female lead stops him (they are in enemy territory) -- OMG what is it about him, did he get a brain tumor which his action and decision making were fatal? It reminds me of a quote from another CDrama "A powerful opponent is nothing to fear. But a weak teammate is fatal" 😱😇. (Pretty please pardon my grammar). Oh well, it does make the movie tantalizing. 😁

Drama ini layak ditonton berulang kali. Kisah cinta Baoning dan Li qian sangat manis walaupun minim adegan dewasa. Hanya dengan back hug seorang Li qian kepada Baoning, mencium pipi istri mampu mentransfer rasa cinta seorang suami ke istri maupun sebaliknya kepada penonton.
Untuk Female lead dari seorang putri yang disegani diistana bahkan sebelum menikah sangat arogan kepada siapa pun dan menjaga image kebangsawanannya bahkan kepada Li qian calon suaminya.
Semuanya berubah setelah menikah Baoning mampu menyesuaikan dan menempatkan posisinya sebagai seorang istri dan menantu di Keluarga Li qian.
Sebagai seorang istri baoning berubah menjadi manja dan menghormati suaminya. Anda bisa melihat perubahan itu mulai episode 12. Sebagai menantu dia mampu menahan ego menggunakan kekuasaannya selama di kediaman keluarga Li padahal beberapa orang ada yang ingin mencelakainya karena dianggap merebut Li qian.
Sebagai suami saya kagum dengan sosok Li qian yang mampu menahan malam pertama selama 2 tahun karena kondisi kesehatan baoning setelah terkena racun. Salah satu kekurangan Li qian adalah sifat humanis. Salah satunya menolong rivalnya yaitu zhao xiou ketika dalam kesulitan. Seorang anak yang berbakti dengan sifat ini kadang hampir membuat Baoning menemukan banyak masalah.
Puncak nya setelah karir kedua nya melesat naik dipuncak kekuasaan dalam membantu menstabilkan kekuasaan raja zhao Xi mereka mendapat cobaan yang hampir meretakkan rumah tangga mereka. Lagi lagi masa lalu keluarga Li menjadi bom waktu bagi keduanya dan karena itu banyak pihak yang memanfaatkan untuk merusak hubungan mereka termasuk lawan politik dan lawan urusan cinta seperti Empress dowager Han, Zhao xiou dan Ga miarong. Masa lalu yang masih misteri menimbulkan kesalahpahaman cukup berat sehingga membuat penonton speachless setelah sebelumnya disuguhi kisah cinta yang sempurna.
Semoga saja kisah mereka ditutup dengan apik dengan lahirnya Li shen dengan selamat sebagai anugerah kisah cinta mereka sekaligus harapan grand empress Dowager dan keluarga Li.

Terhibur sejauh ini

Ceritanya menurut saya ringan dan gak ribet2 banget. Beberapa konflik selesai dalam waktu yg ga begitu lama.
Chemistry pemain utamanya luar biasa. FLnya digambarkan selain pintar juga sangat cerdas, punya banyak taktik dan strategi shg ga mudah diakal2in sama yg lain. ML nya looks so manly, fully responsible sama istri dan keluarganya. Mereka berdua ngeblend banget dan saya ga nyangka bakal ngefans banget sama main couplesnya.
Family ties jg terlihat d banyak scene kediaman Li dan istana.
Pemaen2 yg lain juga banyak yg bagus dan overall saling melengkapi. Ada perang jahat, lucu , kocak dan bucin over.
Ost nya bagus bgt dan setelah tau artinya malah berasa deep banget.
Lastly, kekurangan2 pasti ada tp sejauh ini saya sangat terhibur dengan drama ini, ngikutin nonton terus selama msh ongoing dan pengen liet kiku dan joseph berpasangan lagi di drama lain.

Una historia que enamora

Apesar de que mucha gente se queja de esta historia yo la considero una obra de arte.
La historia se podría separar por etapas de vida ya que en total transcure en 8 años + 5 años adicionales.
La primera parte de la historia cuenta como vivia la realeza y las obligaciones que tiene cada título nobiliario. Por ello mismo la princesa, criada por su abuela, sería la emperatriz perfecta para un emperador que no da un palo al agua desde que nació. Por ello mismo la emperatriz viuda, madre del emperador, no esta dispuesta a entregarle el poder real de un emperador, y lo mantiene en la sombra, el mayor tiempo posible. Pero al mismo tiempo la emperatiz sabe que si la princesa, Boaning se casa con su hijo ya no podría engañarlo. Al mismo tiempo Boaning al ser un espiritu libre que le gustan los artefactos y todo tipos de inventos, sabe que el emperador y toda la corte la usaría para ganar mas poder. Por eso mismo intenta encontrar cualquier escusa para que su destino no sea el esperado.
En la segunda parte podiamos hablar de como crece un amor puro entre ella y Li Qian, que varias veces la salva y al mismo tiempo es su compañero en todas sus aventuras. Al mismo tiempo con la historia de ellos podemos ver que el amor verdadero espera si hace falta varios años para estar juntos y sin importar lo que pase van a salvar a su amado/a, hasta si tienen que poner en peligro su propia vida. También nos deja la mejor enseñanza, "Quizas si lloro a mares, entonces el vuelve con vida". Ya que de una princesa se espera que espere tranquila en vez de actuar y buscar soluciones.
Tambien tenemos dos parejas mas en el drama, el de Susu con el Cao Xuan y Dongdong con el principe An,
Susu y Cao Xuan también tienen una historia bonita en la que demuestran que el amor entre ellos es mas importante que el que dirán, y mas que tener hijos. Ya que lo mas importante es quererse, aunque nunca pueden concebir un hijo.
Dongdong y el principe An son otro ejemplo de ello. Ella lo espero durante 5 años para que el vuelva a ser el mismo, sin importarle que pierde su juventud. Lo mas importante para ella tambien fue estar con su amado, da lo mismo en que estado este esa persona.
Y la última parte que yo mencionaria son las luchas con los enemigos. Y que solo el que lucha por su pueblo consigue el amor de la gente. Que los gobernadores tiranos no traen nada bueno a un país solo misería y un pueblo oprimido. Mientras que si se goberna con justicia, el pueblo amará a su gobernador, y el país florece convertiendose en un mundo mejor.

Los últimos 5 años adicionales, muestran un país en paz sin enemistades y con gente y familias felices.

Yo la verdad no puedo ver en el drama que tengan obsesión por el otro las parejas principales, sino nada mas una vida que construyen juntos lo mejor que pueden.
