You either love it or hate it
If you plan to watch this movie with the mindset that it's gonna be the typical Korean romcomthis movie is probably not for you!
I went in with no expectations but I enjoyed every second of it.
This movie is one of the most realistic depictions of modern relationships I have ever watched.
Don't expect any grand gestures or a romance that will make your heart flutter.
But despite that and what some other reviews say, it was never boring.
The plot kept me intrigued, while it injected a lot of comedy that made me laugh uncontrollably.
The plot twist was AMAZING, but its not a very vital part of the story I would have enjoyed it, with or without it.
It just introduced an extra layer to the story which I found fun but not ground breaking.
Krystal was so natural in this I loved her character !!!
*spoilers from here*
This movie is more about the emotional needs and expectations within a relationship and what happens if they are not met.
Nobody was a bad person and they both tried to make it work. The ML was not insightful to realise the hurt he caused by the daily stressors that put a huge dent in their relationship. The mundane state of most relationships was not the fault of either of them cause if both people don't actively try to improve it, it could only lead to sourness. The romcom ending would have been for the ML to meet FL at the airport and for them to have happily ever after but it was already too late, the FL realised that the trust was already broken and she already found comfort in someone who meets her needs.
To people who said that this movie was about cheating ... I never though either of them cheated, they just naturally developed a connection with two different people, but if you watch back neither of them had a slight interest in taking things further and developing a romantic relationship with the 2nd leads. Only after they broke up they tried to move on.

you either like it or hate it.
I feel like this is one of those movies that you'll either really like or be left thinking "wtf did I just waste my time on?" I technically fall into the second category lol. I feel like the movie was trying to do one thing and then just had a personality switch towards the end (the last 10 mins that everybody is talking about) and from a storytelling perspective -- like I know what they were trying to do and I would have actually loved it if the transition was a little bit more seamless. But like I said you spent the entire movie in kind of this slow paced, somber mood and then bam! total reveal and I'm like WHY COULDN'T WE SEE THE QUIRKY HUMOR THE WHOLE MOVIE? I mean I guess they really wanted you to believe it was something it wasn't to increase the shock factor, it just fell flat on it's face for me. Which sucked because I was actually somewhat invested in the story line which I didn't expect to be.Was this review helpful to you?

Don't cheat just breakup
God the ending what a plot twistAs someone who is single and has trust issues this movie makes me want to stay single
The security guard confused me I thought he was the Boss or a stalker but I think it was Jang-Hyuk inner monologue testing his loyalty to Da-Eun it was just weird he kept popping out of nowhere
Boi Da-Eun deserves better and I'm happy she has someone who loves and respects her
Other than that it is a good movie give you an understanding about long distance and trust in relationships and that cheating is not the answer

A rom com but make it realistic
I’d say that this movie was cute at least for me with a quite satisfying ending and a realistic story and great acting. If you are looking for your perfect romance movie with the excepted typical happy ever after ending this movie won’t be your cup of tea, however I’d still recommend it to you.
The story as I said is not your perfect cliché which is good for me, for me I found the female lead sooo cute I think she is the main reason that I liked the movie, I think I also learned some things from this movie about choices in life, I’d say it’s a well written story since it’s enjoyable and has meaning in it and also it has a plot twist that makes the whole movie much better which is a creative move from the writer.
Acting was excellent and I’d like to praise Chae soo bin since she is some kind of underrated, this girl has potential she is literally of of the few actresses out there that acts so naturally as if she wasn’t acting even her crying is amazing I wish that she’d be more appreciated, of course Jang ki young was amazing too I always liked his acting and krystal also was great she portrayed her character perfectly, the whole cast in general was great.
Would I watch again?
Yes, I think since the story some kind of changed towards the end it’d be fun to rewatch it while you know the idea of it
Overall it was a great movie not that kind of very interesting movie which will keep at the edge of your seat every second but a cute movie that portrayed real life with an enjoyable story

my opinion
i think many people know the plot of this movie, so i just want to share my opinion:this movie really show the reality of couple nowadays especially the young one. because when someone will start have other commitment they can't balance between work and love. it just kinda confusing because both da eun and jang hyuk make mistake.
i think da eun start to cheat on jang hyuk after she abort the baby. i dont know if in korea, aborting is normal or not. i kinda pity at the other jang hyeok because he really love da eun but i dont think da eun really move on on jang hyuk( jang ki yong).

This show will SUPRISE you! (safe review)
It was most interesting that movie was overall suprising in the end, from beginning it’s almost like it gave you a chance to connect things to certain parts. If your going to watch this expect the unexpected! i was shocked when i found out in the ending what was really REALLY happening. The only thing to pay attention to if your gonna watch this is to look closely about the characters and actors in this Drama not only that I really love the scenery and time it took to make this film very outstanding Cast and acting and Very great story, please consider enjoying this. Was this review helpful to you?

Everything start sweet but LDR usually turns a relationship sour, especially if the two person got a job, hard to communicate, rarely seeing each other, so it's not strange if there's a change in feelings.
This film is pretty good on describing this kind of relationship, we get to see Jang Hyeok and Daeun from a sweet couple to the verge of collapse because of LDR.
It's really hard to see our couple shattered here, but what happened in the end, that happens for good.
The message this film trying to deliver from my understanding is love between 2 people requires trust, mutual understanding and appreciation, especially if you in LDR.
There a twist in the end, I didn't see it coming but I gotta say it make sense, Daeun was hurt and she deserve a good ending, she gets a man who can appreciate her more. It's not spoiler I guess. Just watch it, you'll get it.

had a plot twist but also... meh
From the trailer alone i could understood the whole plot twist. i hate trailers so much... but with that being said... i dont feel good about the ending. it lacked meaning.i think the FL (nurse) is not really happy with her new boyfriend, and the ML is not at all that sorry he lost her either. Both of them just needed someone. Anyone. Anyone that had time for them.
Didn't matter who. The nurse repeated everything she did with the ML with her new bf just to end up miserable. Same habits, same gifts, same way of falling in love at the hospital... that's a massive red flag if you ask me. And seriously sad. Assuming they were on a break for awhile, then both of them slept around during that time, but the movie kinda makes it seem as if the male lead has more to blame than the female lead, when they equaly had other partners in between.
the plot would make a lot more sense if at least one of them had a true happy ending with a "i am over you" moment. the way the FL was not that happy in the moment of the plane departure, and how desperate the ML was to just be with any of the girls tells me not a single person had a good ending.
and that's life!! but also... what's the message of the movie then? that life is hard when work gets in the way? well yeah. we all know that. what's the real message here? Am i supposed to side or relate to whom?

A fun, introspective watch.
Sweet and Sour is a movie about a young couple who face stress in their relationship due to the long distance romance they have to keep up with. It deals with infidelity led along the lines of emotional level as well as physical (to an extent.)The plot isn’t exceptional, but the way it has been filmed and depicted does show an original twist. The FL is a character who needs to connect on an emotional level to feel the romance and the male lead masks the distance between them as reason why he drifts out of the relationship. Both of them represent such different kind of circumstances and reactions despite being in the same relationship.
The movie has its cute moments, some wtf moments, moments that make you introspect on the flawed nature of both the characters.

Good Plot Twist…
The movie itself wasn’t horrible, in fact it was pleasant to watch, but it just didn’t spark too much of an interest in me. The plot twist at the end was one of the only reasons why I would recommend or rewatch this movie. It is a bit more on the contemporary side so if that’s what’s you like, then this movie might be for you.Was this review helpful to you?
Sweet & sour
Krystal was there so I needed to watch it. And she did good, although her character was a little weird. Main leads - Jang Ki Yong' and Chae Soo Bin's characters were annoying and well they are not really good partners. Storyline is really realistic and the plot twist proves it and it is a big advantage. I could not rate it higher only because it was a little boring, despite the fact how much I liked Krystal's scenes. Was this review helpful to you?
⚠ If you lose a person they're lost for good °Good°
Pucker Up.A chubadub… pardon… a sweet young man is ready for his career as an engineer to take off, but he lands in the hospital, with jaundice and hepatitis-A, before he can start his job. He's not contagious - that's hepatitis-B - as the nurse keeps telling people, but e'erbody is terrified to go near him, regardless. The cute little nurse ends up taking breaks at his quiet bedside because she's worked to death. Everything she does is cute to him. Lee Woo-Je (True Beauty) is patient Jang Hyeok and Chae Soo-Bin (Love in the Moonlight) is nurse Jung Da-Eun.
He's discharged against his will. Finally, he plucks up the courage to call nurse Da-Eun. To his surprise she tells him to come over. He's overjoyed! He can't wait to help her out. He cooks for her. He sees things that need to be done, like the light bulb that is out, and he takes care of it immediately. She's quite touched by his attentiveness.
He swears he'll lose weight. He will reinvent himself. Next we see a svelte Jang Ki-Yong (from My Mister-9.5 & The Atypical Family) as Jang Hyeok exercising. Hyeok has to work. An opportunity comes up for work that will better his career - in Seoul. The commute is sour - it's murder. He has a lot less time with his cutie. They start to fall apart under the heavy stress of work. At his new job, he is forced to put up with coworker, Han Bo-Yeong (Krystal from The Heirs-7.3 & Crazy Love-7.8). She's hotting up the place, but she's messy and eccentric, and he's been teamed up with her. His work will be as good as hers is. Their results are linked.
The light bulb’s out. The light bulb’s on. The light bulb’s blinking. It's sort of a status indicator of Da-Eun in the relationship. S&S is a tasty little study in irony that teaches us to treasure the people in our lives. There's nice camera work and cutting. The directing and acting are solid. Kim Mi-kyung, the ubiquitous mother, makes an appearance. I don't know how she does it. She's in everything.
Hyeok's life twists like taffy until things start to pull apart. When things happen, sometimes they happen fast. Sometimes they happen gradually but it seems fast to the person that has only been tasting the sweeter things of life, unawares. The film's decisive end has been building the whole time, but it zings the viewer and Hyeok. Gravel in his mouth, he won't hit the ground running again for awhile.
For the record, I got luv for the chubadubs. Gimme a teddy bear with a good heart over a perfect, but empty, body every day of the week.
