Lord Situ pretends not to know about the sphere gift. But he tells General Chu to look for the retired Eunuch Shi for more information. Rou Rou insists to Ruo Nan that she wants to see Shen Jin. She tells Shen Jin that she is pregnant with Xiao Su’s child. Shen Jin and Ruo Nan are shocked and quickly prepare a wedding for her. But on her wedding day, Rou Rou admits that she isn’t pregnant. She just wants to get married to Xiao Su who is clueless when told that a wedding has been prepared for him. But he is happy to marry Rou Rou anyway. General Chu looks for Eunuch Shi at his residence and follows some men who are transporting a coffin to another house. He then tails one of the men who seems to be heading to meet the Emperor. When General Chu returns for Eunuch Shi, fireballs are lobbed into the compound. Eunuch Shi is killed and soldiers appear. General Chu quickly escapes but suspects it is a trap. Shen Jin has gone missing from the village. She leaves a note that she is going to turn herself in. General Chu wants to meet the Emperor. A spy is lurking around. Xiao Su purposely mentions that the Emperor is taking down both the traitors and General Chu with one move. Uncle Hua volunteers to meet the Emperor with General Chu. They would know then if the Emperor is involved in the fire. Lord Situ gives the Emperor the sphere gift and claims he has heard about this rare item from General Chu. He then quickly leaves. Uncle Hua and General Chu sneak in to meet the Emperor. They see the sphere in his hand. General Chu swiftly kicks it away and it explodes. Lord Situ assumes that the Emperor has died from outside the hall. But he is cornered instead. Lord Situ had tried to kill Uncle Hua then because the latter was investigating the military funds embezzlement and closing in on him.
