General's Lady (2020)

They are both interesting to watch, amazing plot and likable characters. Both female characters are strong willed and intelligent in their own way especially in terms of decision making. Male Leads has their own charm and they're both HOT. At first, they tend to be cold, and distant to our female lead but as time goes by, they lowered their defenses. As for Prince Xin, he ignores her first, but he easily believes in Yun Xi after she treated his wounds. Same as the General, he was oblivious at her but he trusted her easily since she was his wife. Both stories depict arranged marriage and then falls in love after.

The Sword and The Brocade and General's Lady are similar in terms of love after an arranged marriage. The main lead characters in both dramas learn to love and trust each other after a series of ups and downs that they go through together.

Both series are fascinating to watch, with incredible plots and likable characters. Both female characters are strong-willed and intelligent in their ways. Both male leads (Nangong and General) were oblivious to their female lead at first, taking them as a spy sent by authority/someone with power but will eventually trust them and fall for them.

Both feature arranged marriage turning into genuine devoted love in a historical setting. ML is strong and skilled at martial arts (although he's hiding it in TOGYNS), FL is intelligent and clever.

Shen Jin grew up in luxury as a member of the royal family. After the emperor decrees an arranged marriage, she is married off to a general who defends the borders. Although she falls in love with her husband, general Chu Xiu Ming, at first sight, she finds it difficult to blend in.
Shen Jin gradually sheds her spoiled and entitled attitude and becomes a force to be reckoned with. With her unconventional methods, she solves many of the army's problems and comes to earn their trust and respect. However, there has been a shakeup in the imperial courts and the Chu army becomes a target. Shen Jin's parents are held hostage against their will while Shen Jin receives orders to act as a spy for the emperor. Can the married couple weather the storms to find happiness and peace?

Falling in love after an arranged marriage, the lady living in military camp, getting closer to each other after seeing each other’s qualities, are a few common features in the series. One of the leads in WCRG is a seasoned general, who is rumoured to have killed his previous wives, while the general in General’s lady also has had three wives who have already died before the FL marries him. The female leads of both series are shown to have sensible heads on their shoulders, and they win their husband’s affection through their qualities.

Both historical rom-com dramas have a plot involving a capable general's love story. In general's lady they are married at the very start and in follow my general, the FL enters as a male-dressed spy but her identity is found by ML at the very beginning.

Same actor as ML who has a similar personality. Similar tone and a lovely strong relationship between the mains. Both are relatively short dramas that never become boring and have happy endings.

Also has a very sassy and smart FL and feelings that seem to develop with her first as the ML is either unwilling or unable to express himself. Both give into each other; a few side couples and good martial arts.

Both are mostly fluffy historical dramas in which the FL is married to the general ML who she has never met and who has a reputation as a cold man. Both slowly fall in love.

Im very disappointed about her acting, she's a great actrice I like her, but in this drama!!!!! I was surprise a bad she's playing her role, and her dressing its being ridiculous like the most idiot and stupid looks a never see in a romance drama. She looks like a grandma in a geriatric home, only in the eposide 10 she was appropriate, but lets see the next one. Im very mad because I like watiching the other from so much I can feel something is not right from her she is not in to it.

Although the characters’ personalities are quite different, the shows both give off the same feeling! They have the same genres and also a very good amount of skinship. The protagonists are in arranged marriages but quickly fall in love and start being a real couple pretty early on in both dramas. The male leads both start off not trusting the female leads, and end up falling for them so hard that they can’t live without them. Also, if you are someone who hates unfaithful husbands in dramas, you can rest assured that both the male leads only have eyes for their lady :)
