Shen Jin falls asleep waiting for General Chu. He leaves Shen Jin’s pendant and the divorce letter next to her. When she wakes, she is disappointed and refuses to divorce. They quarrel and General Chu leaves his mansion to go to his barracks. The court artist bribed by Lord Liu tells the Emperor that General Chu has scouts in the royal court. The Emperor orders deliveries to be stopped from going to the general’s mansion. Shen Jin signs up as a recruit to get into General Chu’s barracks. Bai Zi Tou and Xiu Yuan help her during the training. Shen Jin’s presence at the camp causes inconvenience when it comes to bathing and sleeping arrangements. But she refuses General Chu’s request to share his tent as he has divorced her. He promises to let her have anything she wishes as long as she doesn’t mess around. So, she asks for wine which is forbidden in the camp. He brings her out to the woods and she drinks until she is drunk. Then, she begins to cry that he doesn’t care about her.
