A story of first love, moving on from old loves, loss, and responsibility. Yes responsibility. That last one is something movie viewers probably find the least bit interesting, and I appreciate it when a movie says, "Hey, you made a life altering mistake. You can't just shrug that kind of thing off. Take responsibility." The different kinds of love portrayed in Love 911 are complex and so real. From the devotions of friendship and comradeship to unrequited love, love lost and creating new love. It's a lot of love, and I enjoyed it.
You can tell that the cast had a great time filming this and it came into the movie so beautifully. This story isn't just about a lead man and woman and their love story. It's about the people around them and how their lives touch and shape others. To me an enjoyable story includes side characters that you can care about. Speaking of the lead man and woman, they have great characters with back story that makes both of them so believable. (Don't worry about it bogging down the story it's all paced well enough.)
However, like I said this is a comedy so you'll get plenty of laughs! It's a wonderful combination of humor, life lessons, and a great romance. Any romantic comedy fan is going to have a blast with this movie. That's not to say there aren't some plot flaws. (One questionable plot "twist" that is left open ended. Which I assume the writers a assumed the viewers would fill in the blank.) There are some predictable plot twists here, but there's enough originality to forgive all that. Plus, come on Firemen? How can you say no to that.

Because I had a background in medicine, though not as extensive as doctors, there are things that are medical related in the film that I feel implausible. I know misdiagnosis happens but the way it was presented in the film seems unlikely. There are also so many issues left unresolved at the end. Pfff. I really wanted to like this. There are scenes that are good; the writers generally had an idea of what they wanted in the film. It was just poorly executed.

Three words: I LOVE IT!!!
Why did I never put this in my PTW list? Why was I never interested in watching this movie even though I’ve seen the poster at least 5 times? I decided to watch this movie in a whim since I’m in my romance movie marathon. For your information, I think this is my first time watching Go Soo. And I’m... in LOVE! What a pleasant surprise to watch Go Soo in a romance movie, I really really enjoyed watching him in this movie. Every casts, literally everyone was very very super duper good in this movie. I would like to see more of Ma Dong Seok in a romcom, please! I love love love the casts and every characters here. Bear with Han Hyo Joo’s irritating character in the first 30-40 minutes please, I’m sure her character development will satisfy you!
The romance... YES YES YES!!! I was actually disappointed midway since I thought that the main leads fall in love too fast after all the love-hate relationship. But.... the angst came up shortly afterwards and I was super duper satisfied with the storyline. It made me feel like I’m in a rollercoa aster ride. I was amazed that the comedy was great and actually funny, and how the story managed to make me teary-eyed at times too. Rarely happened to me when watching romcoms.
So, overall a 10/10! Angsty but fluffy with good-looking at excellent casts!! Mighty Ma Dong Seok become all cutie here in this movie. Prepare to laugh and prepare your hearts: fluffy content ahead! ♥️

Mi-soo (Han Hyo-joo) is a doctor studying towards her goal to become a cardiothoracic surgeon and working through her residency. She has a tendency for being a smartass and quick judgement, but it backfires when she misdiagnosed a woman, whose husband she assumed to be an abusive thug. So when the patient takes a turn for the worse, the husband decided to sue.
Kang-il (Go Soo) is the epitome of the wounded hero. A former soldier now turned firefighter and widower. Despite having a great team of friends and co-wokers at the station, Kang-il refuses to move on with his life, carrying the guilt of his wife dying alone while he was busy saving others.
Fate and some machiavellians ways bring these two together. The relationship between Mi-soo and Kang-il didn’t feel forced, their chemistry is fiery since the first moment. Her carefree personality brings a much needed light tone to his brooding, and his way of taking everything serious gives her a newfound weight to every decision she makes and how they affect other people’s lives.
I enjoyed it was Mi-soo who very cheekly and endearingly pursued Kang-il first. That’s right, he was the one being wooed not the other way around. In this film you will find a leading lady, willing to take risks and rejection, but also in control of her life, not letting anyone tell her how to be proper. What’s more, this way she has, actually gets her out of almost all the troubles she starts.
Kang-il’s grief was harder to watch, mostly thanks to Go Soo’s acting, which carried a lot of weight through the film. You could feel his heartbreaking and denial to move on, even when he was clearly falling for someone else. But he had lighter moments too, like when he interacted with his friends or Mi-soo, and then you could see glimpses of the real Kang-il.
The rest of the cast it’s what really made the story so enjoyable to watch. Ma Dong-seok (Police Force 38, Train to Busan) is the adorable and though Chief, who behaves like an older brother and father figure at the same time. A true leader. And then you have Kim Sung-oh (Fight for My Way, My PS Partner) and Hyun Jyu-ni (IRIS, Descendants of the Sun) friendship-turned-romance which is both hilarious and endearing. My favorite part is the cameos from Jung Ji-hyun and Yang Dong-ge, the detectives who befriend Mi-soo at the police station.
Overall, Love 911 was a fun romance with enough gravity to have actual character development and a lovely message about the meaning of happiness and living your life.

Not bad but not good.
Honestly, I expected a bit more. Sadly, this was just average. I don't think the characters, especially Misoo was good. She was like a walking red flag. Adults acting like dumbass teens. They hardly did anything with his wife, who died. The story was all over the place. The casting is amazing, but sadly the story wasn't at the same level.

Once again, I was recommended this drama via a drama fan account on instagram, originally thinking that this was a drama series, but later found out that it was a movie included on Amazon Prime. Thank you, Amazon. I've been recently into drama movies - they are quick and to the point and I don't need to binge watch a ton of episodes for the characters to finally stop acting super annoying and potentially fall in love. But I have realized after watching this movie that even though it does take maybe 7 episodes at 45 minutes a pop, I do enjoy the slow burning romance. I enjoyed everything about this movie, BUT I felt like, at least in the beginning, that I didn't believe in their romance. I believed in the main girl, that she gradually started to feel something towards the firefighter after he had saved her life, cute scene btw. But I didn't believe homeboy - he went from "I hate everyone and everything especially her" and "I am going to imagine homegirl as my dead wife in different situations" to "I really want to snuggle with her HARD and whisper sweets things about our future in her ear."
But I also feel like it added to the ending - their big fight was inevitable because I didn't feel much character change happened with them and they were so different. I am actually quite confused about how Kang-il went through any character change - it flew over my head completely, but everything hit Mi-Soo all at once with that intense hospital scene as well as finding out her illness. I really liked how after everything happened, she was able to confess everything without needing a response. She just wanted to say what she needed to say without any regrets. She pulled a complete 180 for me - I really didn't like her character in the beginning, but once she was able to step in someone else's shoes and that her actions effect others, she realized what she needed to do. The ending felt real though; you couldn't deny their connection with one another compared to the first time.
Plus, besides the romance, this movie was shot so well and because of their professions, him a firefighter and her a surgeon/paramedic, we got to see two different forms of intense situations which I loved deeply. It might be normal in these type of dramas or movies, but this is all new to me, and I loved everything about. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about in this drama was how irritating they both were in the beginning as if they have always acted that way and people never confronted them about it as well as how fast they got into their relationship the first time, at least on his end. It was like hot and cold for him. I know she liked him and went in full force, but for someone to grieve their dead wife and then hate to like someone almost seemed like he was using her in a way.

What i liked the most is the female lead character unlike others she is not slow witted or weak but is sassy and knows how to get what she wants. whereas male lead is not fall for female lead's series of moves which leads to many comical scenes. the supporting cast of fire station crew were fun to watch. over all the story is light hearten and is pretty enjoyable.

Heartwarming and Fun with some surprising emotional depth
9.5/10 is my ratingFor People Thinking About Watching Love 911
If you’re into romance movies with a good mix of funny and heartfelt moments, Love 911 is worth checking out. It’s got a great cast—Han Hyo-joo and Go Soo have awesome chemistry—and it’s not just a fluffy love story. It digs into some real stuff, like dealing with grief and the tough calls that doctors and firefighters have to make. Be warned, though: the female lead, Mi-soo, might annoy you at first because she’s kind of selfish and arrogant, but her growth is so satisfying. The movie’s only about 2 hours long, so it’s a quick watch, and it’s got enough action, humor, and romance to keep you hooked. Just don’t expect every little detail to be tied up neatly at the end.
Review
Love 911 is a super cute 2012 South Korean romantic comedy, drama romance with some action due to the firefighting and rescue scenes. It's very heartwarming and in around the two hour run time it manages to not only tell a nice romantic story but sneaks in some deep emotions. The story follows Mi-soo (Han Hyo-joo), a doctor who’s kind of a hot mess at the start, and Kang-il (Go Soo), a firefighter who’s dealing with some serious grief. These two are total opposites, and watching them clash and then slowly come together is what makes this movie so fun.
Mi-soo (Han Hyo-joo) did drive me up the wall at first. She’s arrogant, a bit selfish, and honestly kind of rude. I was ready to turn the movie off in the first 20 minutes because I couldn’t stand her attitude. She was all about her career and didn't seem to care much about others, which made her hard to like. But stick with it, because her character growth is amazing! Han Hyo-joo does such a great job showing Mi-soo’s journey from being this self-centered doctor to someone who learns to care deeply and own up to her mistakes. It felt so rewarding to watch her change.
Kang-il (Go Soo), on the other hand, is this tough, quiet firefighter who’s still heartbroken over losing his wife. Go Soo plays him perfectly—grumpy and closed-off but with this soft side that comes out bit by bit. The chemistry between him and Mi-soo is so good, especially when they’re bickering or when Mi-soo’s trying to win him over with her crazy antics. It’s not just fluffy romance, though; the movie dives into some heavy stuff, like the tough choices doctors and rescue workers have to make. There are scenes where you really feel the weight of their jobs—saving lives sometimes means putting yourself or others at risk, and that hit me hard.
The supporting characters are great too. The firefighter team, like Yong-soo (Kim Sung-oh) and Hyun-kyung (Hyun Jyu-ni), add some humor and heart, and the fire station captain (Ma Dong-seok) is awesome as this tough but caring boss. The mix of funny moments, like Mi-soo’s over-the-top attempts to get Kang-il’s attention, and the serious stuff, like dealing with loss, makes the movie feel balanced. The music’s pretty good too, with some bubbly tunes that fit the lighter scenes and some emotional ones that draw you in to experience a little of what they go through.
My only gripe is that I wanted more time with Mi-soo and Kang-il as a couple. Once Kang-il finally lets his guard down, it’s so sweet, but it happens kind of late, and I wished we got a few more scenes of them being happy together. I’m not a fan of movies that drag out happy ending forever, but this one could’ve given us a bit more of their cute moments. Also, some things are left a little unclear at the end, which I’ll get into in the spoiler section. Overall, though, it’s a movie that made me laugh, tear up a bit, and feel all warm and fuzzy. If you love romance with some real emotional depth, you’ll probably enjoy Love 911.
Spoilers
Mi-soo (Han Hyo-joo) starts off in hot water because she misdiagnoses a patient, and the patient’s husband sues the hospital. Her lawyer tells her to get Kang-il (Go Soo) to testify against the husband, who assaulted Kang-il when he was grieving. Mi-soo’s plan is super selfish—she tries to “date” Kang-il just to get him to help her save her medical license. Her antics are wild, like volunteering as a paramedic to get close to him, and it’s hilarious watching her try so hard while Kang-il just shuts her down. But as they work together on dangerous rescue missions, you see them start to connect for real.
What I loved was how Kang-il calls Mi-soo out on her behavior. He points out that she was wrong to judge the husband so harshly, and it takes her a while to get it. Eventually, she genuinely feels sorry and apologizes to the husband, even though it pretty much ends her career as a doctor. That moment was huge for her character—she goes from being all about herself to actually caring about others. Han Hyo-joo nails those scenes where Mi-soo’s tough exterior starts to crack.
Kang-il’s story is heartbreaking. He lost his wife, Ji-young (Oh Yoo-na), and feels guilty because he was saving someone else when she died. The movie doesn’t give us a ton of details about how she died, which bugged me a little. Like, was it an accident? Was it during one of his missions? A bit more backstory would’ve made his pain hit even harder. Still, Go Soo’s acting is so good—you can feel how much Kang-il’s hurting and why he’s so closed off. Mi-soo’s persistence slowly breaks through his walls, and it’s beautiful when he finally admits he loves her, especially in that church scene where she confesses first.
The ending is super cute but left me with some questions. Mi-soo joins the fire station as a new recruit, which is adorable, but it’s not clear if she’s permanently switching to being a firefighter or paramedic or if she’s still a volunteer. Also, Kang-il keeps throwing himself into dangerous situations, like when he risks his life to save a worker in a collapsed building. After he and Mi-soo get together, I was hoping we’d see him ease up on the reckless stuff now that he has someone to live for, but the movie doesn’t really say if he changes. That felt like a loose end. Oh, and Mi-soo’s brain tumor thing? It comes up but doesn’t go anywhere major, which was a bit weird.
Still, the final scene where Kang-il wakes up in the ambulance, rushes to find Mi-soo, and they kiss in the middle of the street in Gangnam? So sweet! I just wished we got a little more of them as a couple before it wrapped up. Despite those loose ends, the romance and the way they help each other heal made me love this movie.

Laughed, Cried, Loved: A Feel-Good Ride Through Love and Loss
The start was solid, with the male lead grappling with the loss of his wife and the female lead, a doctor, facing a trial due to a misdiagnosis. She needs the male lead to sue the patient's husband for her advantage.
However, he won't cooperate, having experienced the pain of losing a loved one. This already set up a funny situation that got me curious about what would happen next.😁
She tries seduction, then intimidation, and it always ends in a humorous way. Despite knowing he's married and mourning, she persists, going all out, never giving up on seducing him. She keeps pestering him until she obviously falls for him too.
Their personalities and constant bickering were adorable. I couldn't get enough of their dynamic. The story made me smile, laugh, and even shed a tear.
It was genuinely good, and the ending was wonderfully sweet. Loved the overall vibe.

mature wholesome love
Mi su had a wonderful character arc. Admittedly, she didn’t really grow until like the last 30 min of the movie, but better late than never.
Their romance was a little skeptical in the beginning, but it won me over by the end. It’s kind of weird that the ml kinda just kinda forgot about his ex wife at the end. I’m not sure, it might just be me.
The ml was such a good person. In real life, it wouldn’t be so optimal because his decisions are too selfless. It worked out because it was a movie, but he was too good to be true.
** major spoiler and profanity **
Okay so DID SHE HAVE THE DUCKING SURGERY OR NOT ?!?! THEY COULDNT HAVE SPARED LIKE 5 SECONDS TO CLARIDY THAT IT WAS A SUCCESS OR SOMETHINF. WHAT EVEN WAS THE POINT OF THAT PLOTLINE.
