Hanayome to Papa

Other deal with overbearing and overprotective father's. Both are comedies, but Hanayome to Papa is a longer drama and has got more of a story to it.

Both are about a daughter and and obsessive and over protective father.

Both these shows have helicopter parents. In Hanayome to Papa, its the Father. But, in Overprotected Kahoko its the Mother. The love story is much more fleshed out in Overprotected Kahoko

These two dramas also have overprotective, super clingy parents and do show character growth throughout the drama. Both stories are mainly focused on the main character becoming a more mature adult. Both are light, fun and hilarious shows!
