The BEST Chinese drama I have ever watch!

This drama is a masterpiece. I dare not skip a second of this drama. Everything about this drama is just perfect.
The cast is awesome. Their acting feels very real. I'd love it if we get a Season 2 with the same cast.
The plot is perfect. This drama focuses a little more on romance than on the gaming but the gaming parts are also taken seriously. It also a lot of breaks stereotypes of the e-sports world which I love very much. The gaming parts are not boring at all and is very fun to watch at. There aren't any major misunderstandings in the drama which is also something that I like.
All the OST's of the drama are good and fit the scenes perfectly.
The is nothing disliking about the drama. The cast behind the scenes is also very funny and friendly.
Just go and watch it. This drama is not boring at all and is totally worth it!!

So much fun and heartwarming <3

This drama was one of my first modern cdramas that I ever watched, and it did not disappoint! I absolutely adore Tong Yao, and I think she is a strong female character in that she is not to be underestimated. I also love how they made her actually really good at playing the game they were playing in this drama, as I feel like that's kind of rare when it comes to esports dramas. I also love how her friendships with the ZGDX team develops slowly, and how they all slowly become fiercely protective of her and see her as their sister. The found family in this is honestly so wholesome!

The romance was SO GOOD!! I loved the amount of bickering that Tong Yao and Lu Sicheng had, and I absolutely adored how Tong Yao is not afraid to speak her mind. At first, Lu Sicheng isn't the nicest to her, but at the same time, he also carries her on his back after she gets drunk, and also gave her his jacket when it was raining. He also basically confessed that he liked her when he said that his type is someone who can beat him at games. And when Tong Yao defeated him in that match that they had at the ZGDX base, it was clear that he fell for her right then and there.

His confidence is pursuing her is honestly unmatched. He's also super shameless, which I honestly loved (iykyk). It's also the way in which Sicheng's personality literally changes so drastically when they actually start dating. He literally becomes so clingy and soft, the complete opposite of his "cold" and aloof demeanor he usually has. He also wants to spoil the crap out of her, and I honestly loved that. I also love that he doesn't undermine her abilities as a gamer as well.

Another thing I loved about this drama was how it touched on the dark side of being famous. I I honestly thought the crazy fan situation in this drama was scary and also insane that there are some people who would go that far to get noticed by their faves. And I felt so bad for Tong Yao, who literally just fell in love with Sicheng and was getting harassed online for it. That honestly made me so angry and sad. I also love that Tong Yao never apologized for falling in love with him, and declaring that she has done nothing wrong, for she is only human. I absolutely love how unapologetic Tong Yao is.

One thing that absolutely broke my heart was how Sicheng starts to pull away from Tong Yao after the crazy fan situation unfolds, as he tries to deal with it all on his own. I also loved that scene where they're talking to each other through Sicheng's bedroom door, and how they finally have an open and honest conversation. We see Sicheng fully break down, admitting that he's not as strong as he appears to be, and I just felt for him so much, as he was trying to protect Tong Yao, but was also suffering in silence and affecting the team dynamic. That scene in the drama was heartbreaking, but it was also so incredibly important for their relationship as a whole.

Overall, this drama was amazing, and I highly recommend it!!

HELP! I CAN'T MOVE ON!

Trust me, this drama is PERFECT and worth to watch~

This is the first time I've found a drama with a perfect package.
Not only a light storyline, beautiful and handsome actors/actresses, but this drama also brings many unforgettable memories where viewers can feel sadness, happiness, the warmth of love, friendship, family, loyalty, passion, respect, sincerity and trust in each other. This drama contains sweetness and cuteness that definitely makes your stomach feel butterfly, lots of funny scenes, and most importantly NOT cringe at all.

Huft, I really wish there would be a season 2.
Hope this helps ^^

likable characters, amazing plot, it was all worth it.

It can reel the viewer to watch it on a binge. If you want an esport themed drama with a spice of romance and comedy, this series is for you. The story narrates about fresh graduate Tong yao who opted to pick a career she's passionate about. Despite her mom's objection, she signed a contract with a famous esport gaming company, ZGDX. As a first professional female gamer, she is driven to prove that women can also explore the gaming industry known to be dominated by the male population. Moving to the ZGDX, she easily build a connection between her and her teammates. At the same time, she develops a mutual relationship with their team captain.

Xu Kai and Cheng Xiao did a great job in capturing naturally the integral romance of the story. They both have the chemistry. The intention to make their audience happy through its highly addicting love story and adorable pairing was highly achieved. I was impressed by the in-game striking graphics, that made the in game playing interesting to watch. Supporting leads didn't fall back and they shine in their own way throughout the stories. Overall, this is highly recommended to watch.

Falling Into Your Smile (2021): A Heartfelt Journey Through Esports and Romance

"Falling Into Your Smile" (2021) invites viewers into the thrilling and ultra-competitive world of esports, where the ZGDX OPL team reigns supreme. Known for their unrivaled skills, this all-male team commands an army of adoring female fans wherever they go. However, when a star player's hand injury threatens the team's dominance, it sets the stage for a captivating story of determination, friendship, and unexpected romance.

At the heart of this drama is the enigmatic ZGDX team captain, Lu Si Cheng. Tall, handsome, and notoriously hard to please, Si Cheng refuses to be rushed into choosing a replacement for the injured player. On the other side of the gaming world, we meet Tong Yao, a petite, lollipop-loving amateur gamer who is utterly obsessed with OPL. Her gaming skills are exceptional, but she firmly believes that love has no place in the male-dominated world of professional gaming, despite her own history with a gamer ex-boyfriend.

When the ZGDX team manager discovers Tong Yao's remarkable talents, he sees an opportunity to make history by recruiting her as the first female player in the OPL scene. Si Cheng, initially dismissive of her, reluctantly agrees to accept her as a substitute player, a decision that ignites a storm of controversy among the team's fanbase.

What makes "Falling Into Your Smile" truly endearing is the gradual development of a unique bond between Si Cheng and Tong Yao as they navigate the complexities of esports and life. Their growing connection not only enhances their gameplay but also unveils the human stories behind the competitive exterior.

This Chinese romance drama is a delightful journey that seamlessly weaves together the world of gaming with matters of the heart. While the story is anchored in the esports arena, it doesn't overwhelm the plot, making it accessible even to those less familiar with gaming culture.

The drama's greatest strength lies in its characters. Si Cheng is a charming and dominant lead with a mysterious allure, while Tong Yao is a sweet, charming, and fiercely independent lead. Together, they form a couple that is both heartwarming and compelling, drawing viewers into their evolving relationship.

"Falling Into Your Smile" offers a heartwarming and easy-to-follow romance drama that explores the uncharted territory of esports and love. With its well-balanced focus on gaming, character development, and romance, it strikes a chord with a broad audience. This drama is a testament to the power of unexpected connections and the idea that love can blossom even in the most competitive and unconventional of settings. If you're in search of a captivating story with a charismatic couple at its core, "Falling Into Your Smile" is definitely worth watching.

One of the best cybersporst representations in k-dramas

While this series is often considered controversial due to its theme and casting, I can't find any real fault with it.

Overall, it's a story with perfect chemistry between the leads, interesting visual effects, and a touching plot. This extends to its subplots, which are surprisingly meaningful, unlike in many other shows where they feel unimportant.

The main cast creates a genuine sense of camaraderie and a heartwarming, playful atmosphere that perfectly complements the central love story.

I wouldn't say there's anything overly complex about it, yet I haven't found another K-drama quite like it since. It's the unique atmosphere and the main characters that make it so memorable. The show's simplicity doesn't weaken the narrative; on the contrary, it allows the characters to reveal different facets of their personalities in relatable, everyday circumstances. Furthermore, it's one of the rare dramas that remains engaging even after the main couple confesses their love.

In conclusion, it's difficult to find the right words to recommend it. I'll simply say it's a great show—genuinely underrated and often misunderstood by the general audience, but nonetheless very deserving of attention.

Perfect to watch with friends!

Probably one of my favourite modern romances I've seen? The story was fun, the romance was swoon worthy, and I actually felt anxious during the tournament scenes. I appreciate them animating the gaming scenes for people who are not into e-sports or video games because it kept those parts interesting. Truly the best part was anticipating the new episodes with my friends every week and talking about it nonstop after. In terms of negatives: some plot points were completely wacky and the female lead's acting isn't great. Though, I really enjoyed the supporting characters and Xu Kai was a really good male lead. I can say I am a fan of them all now!

Chase me and Pull my Pigtails Please Mr. Scene Thief

This is my first review, even though I have been a member for a long time. I will admit that I am usually generous with my ratings because I tend to value things for what they are and not what I expect them to be. BUT, I only give a 10 to shows that make me marathon them AND have a satisfying ending.
I'll start with Xu Kai, since he is the reason I found the show. I'm a sucker for devils with handsome faces, and this show put him at the top of my "Jerks you want to kiss list." I fall in love with all his characters and I am always afraid he will be type-casted each time, but he never fails to draw me in. Even if he wasn't illegally handsome his acting skills would keep me stalking his newest shows. His acting never stops. Even when the camera isn't on him, I can't stop staring. I lost count of how many times I had to replay a scene because I forgot to pay attention to everyone else's reactions. He's an expert scene thief!

I think Cheng Xiao did a great job of playing a young woman in a man's world. She was the perfect combo of feminine badass. The only thing that felt unrealistic was her ability to push Xu Kai away, even once! I mean this as a compliment. This must take good acting skills. All joking aside, I loved her character. This was my first show with her in it and I look forward to seeing her in other roles.

All the other characters were just as entertaining and lovable! I definitely picked up some hinted BL or bromance, but I admit that I'm also usually hunting for it. I'd say more, but I hate spoilers.

The friendships and teamwork themes were really heartwarming and just as entertaining as the romance. I admit I got choked up a few times. I also really enjoyed the animated gaming scenes. They made the competitions more exciting and fun to watch.

I can't leave without giving props to Tong Yao's parents. I normally dislike meddling parents in dramas, but they cracked me up. Their character growth had me rolling by the last episode and I even missed them when they were absent from too many episodes!

Pretty good series. ( a pic of THE UNTAMED was shown :DDDD)

TBH i started watching this show with very very high expectations.. but in the first 2 episodes i wanted to throw my remote at the TV and stop because of the acting.. The cast looks good no doubt but in the first two episodes, the acting was wayyyy too stiff and i felt like even a 5 year old could show better expressions than that. However, the cast redeemed themselves starting from the 3rd episode.

then their personalities came through, and better acting was noticeable. The buildup is steady and not rushed or slow. im on the 11th episode rn and some swoonworthy moments already occured and i had to control my scream because dvkugswhbuo 😂 This series wont disappoint. The animation and portrayal of panic, anxiety and hard work (tong yao) were on point too. Not to mention the rest of the cast is also their own person. no one is present to make the leads look good.

ALSO, the one thing that pushed me to write this review is, if you're a die-hard fan of the untamed like me, and will watch anything that has even a SEMBLANCE of it in it, then watch till episode 11. 22:08 is the time stamp. It's shown as the main poster being kept in a photo frame and i almost choked on my food when i saw it. It's not even talked about but since a blurry angle of it was there, i like tong yao wayyyyyy more now (she likes the untamed what do u expect??)

Fast moving and funny

This is my second show that is about e sport romance , after love 020 .
It is different from love 020 , I did not read the novel, and I also do not play that much of games, perhaps it is part of the reason I can enjoy the show better without doing comparison.
I am not sure if I would like Chessman's character in real life, however in the show, I like how he is bickering and teasing Tong Yao, he can be harsh and ruthless with his words, caring on another hand . The dialog can be witty (eg. I don't expect he would introduce himself as Chessman to her parents) and the team member's reaction is funny too.
I wish I can enjoy the game parts better, it is unclear to me who plays what character in the game and how they win their game. A lot of time I have to rewind to understand the game part ,
Hopefully it gets better , not the other way round, like some of the shows started good but with chaos ending.

Fun to Watch

I watch a lot of CDrama's and KDrama's (all with english sutitles) and some that are labelled as comedy do get a laugh out of me but this series is LOL funny. The bickering between the FL and ML is on going, rapid fire and very witty and I find myself rewinding just to appreciate certain interactions and laugh again. I'm not really interested in gaming but this series makes the whole lifestyle interesting and entertaining. Big ups to the writer who could strike a great balance between comedy and depicting the excitement and pressure of the professional Esports world. The production is very good but what brings me back so eagerly to each episode is the screenplay and the great acting. Xu Kai and Cheng Xiao are giving outstanding performances and the support actors are holding their own.
You must watch this.
