The story started off slow, and lots of things were confusing, but it had a very good story to it. It was almost like goodbye my princess except for the fact that the main leads loved each other more.

the most romantic love story of the year
40 episodes and not skipped an episode!I love the how they cast the Main Leads based on the story and character that fits.
They cast newbie for the female lead, and the Male lead used to be supporting actor in another drama.
This proves when Director have the right eye, they can find the right person to play the story.
It doesnt have to be actor with long list of "main lead" experience on his CV.
When they get involved in the story, their character will make us think its them and will see them as how they were portrayed.
In this case, Allen Feng, who I first though, why not having another actor who is this and that, but when i give it a chance,
he is more belieavable, super great acting, and within no time make us fall in love with him.
I had the same thought for the female lead at first,
But then, as I watched, I realized the very reason why the Director choose her.
She's very good actress, and her face is like it is meant for the camera with all her expression.
Very pretty too.
This story pampers us with love and lots of love. Steamy kisses, solid relationship, friendship and little bit of
brotherhood in the palace.
I laugh ( so hard), i smiled (many times), I cried, and I grinned super wide at their siliiness,
i enjoyed all the kisses (make my day:))) as this is hard to find in korean drama... or other chinese drama..
and also im in awe at the second lead:))
overall love all of the cast, love the story,
already rewatching this again as this is being written

Highly rated drama, for good reason.
The plot changes a little bit, compared to the usual historical C-dramas, with the "hypnosis" aspect, which remains almost realistic, in any case, coherent in the story. The actors are excellent and the CL is really cute. Theirs interactions are top notch and we cannot remain insensitive to their perfect chemistry.
To note :) the number of kisses is very very unusual for a Cdrama, but makes realistic the passion felt within the CL.
The OSTs are classic for a historical C-drama, nothing special about it.
Last note, which makes all the quality of this series :
- the story is really well written (Great screenwriter)
- the production is excellent.
Don' miss this gem !

Simple storyline yet still captivating! Kisses are HOT AF and the music and scenery is gorgeous!!
It's starts out initially as a playful drama with the main characters being quiet fun and teasing. As you watch more towards the middle to end, there's an unexpected serious storyline that emerges. I really didn't expect for the drama to take such a turn but I liked the fact that characters that seemed harmless at first turn out to the villains. I think for a fluffy yet mildly serious drama, they did a good job in creating a plotline that didn't last 60 eps.WOW okay the kisses in this drama are fucking amazing?! Not some cringey peck but ACTUAL kissing! It reminds me A LOT like The Eternal Love probably because it's the same director and screenwriter. There's tons of fluffy moments and kisses to feed your needy soul. I'm so sick of watching dramas where you anticipate the kissing and when it finally happens, it's the most disappointing thing you've ever watched. You won't be disappointed here!
The only downside to this drama was that it dragged out longer than needed. The whole thing with Yunsi wanting to take Mingyue back was just torture for me. It definitely could have been so much shorter. Yunsi was a pain to watch - he was so forceful and playing mind games with Mingyue and completely ignored what she wanted or how she felt. Huixin was also pretty draggy with her plotting and evilness, I ended up skipping her parts esp in the middle. I think she had way too much unnecessary script.
Loved the music, cinematography, costuming and scenery. I think it was shot so beautifully. There's tons of snow for that romantic effect and the music is actually wonderful. I love the OST especially the instrumental music.
Overall very good drama! If you liked The Eternal Love, you'll definitely like this one too!

Make sure to watch this drama with a happy ending, it's definitely worth your time!
I'm thrilled that I ignored the negative comments and kept watching this drama. It's been a while since I found a series that could keep me interested, and I usually give up before the tenth episode. However, this time was different.Initially, I had my doubts about the main female lead (Ling MeiShi) fearing she would be another annoying, childish character. And, of course, there was the usual abuse from the male lead. But, against all odds, I found myself getting hooked on the love story. The female lead surprised me with her character development, and her portrayal of love, sadness, and regret was impressive. All in all, it's safe to say that this drama exceeded my expectations
I completely disagree with the criticism that ML (Alen Fang) was one-dimensional. He improved significantly after mid-season. In my opinion, the director is to be blamed for making him look over the top.
The plot of the drama can be divided into two parts - the first being the "I refuse to admit I am in love" part and the second being about villains who harbor hate, and jealousy, and who cause heartbreaking deaths. However, I felt the drama was too lengthy and could have been shortened by a few episodes on both parts. 36 episodes seemed unnecessary, and 30 would have been a much better length.
But what I found most refreshing about this drama was the multiple kissing scenes between the main couple. In most dramas, scriptwriters fail to capture the physical aspect of love and expect us to read between the lines. That's plain ridiculous. Love is indeed physical.
I must say that the casting was absolutely spot on, particularly the choice of support actors for the roles of the general (Ni Han Jin) and the Prince (Leo Dong). They portrayed the characters' unrequited love brilliantly, and their talent and good looks were undeniable. Even the supporting actors delivered solid performances.
Overall, I can confidently say that this movie is worth watching more than once. It's a must-see for anyone who appreciates great acting and an engaging storyline.

Fantastic & Hypnotizing ( Enchanting)
WOWZERS!!!Where to begin, this chinese drama was fantastic, costumes, cast, ect was fabulous. I enjoyed the series so much so I replayed the series none stop. The chemistry between the Main Role characters was unexplainable, since they started off as nemesis building up their friendship, eventually becoming friends, love, romance ect. The sceneries were wonderful. Just a series that's a must watch. Many scenarios had me laughing. It would be amazing to know others would watch this series and are able to enjoy it as much as i did.
Its an Enchanting series, and was delighted 😀

Can't stop watching till the end! Must watch!
As a fan of romantic comedy Korean-Chinese series, i found this one trully entertaining to watch. It goes straight to my top list movie of 2020 simply because the kissing scenes were so genuine, deeply moving and there were alot of them! (Thank you Mr director, sceeen writer, both ML and FL...)
I was heartbroken after watching the legend of fuyao which was very-very good from beginning to end, but the end was like...so hanging. And there very very little-brief kiss scenes as well... Although they are super good ones..
So this is seriously make up for it. Good acting, very addictive kissing scenes, wonderful story plot and awesome ending! Will re-watch for sure!

A taste of Scarlet Heart Ryeo
From enemies to lovers- it was a diplomatic arranged marriage. Li Ming Yue was sent to marry Li Qian, not knowing she was hypnotised by her brother to erase memories of her first love Yunsi. She on the other hand, used hypnotism to help Li Qian to recover his past and lost memories before 9 years old.Their love story development was quite good, initially hating each other, bickering, bullying and using each other to their own advantage. He unknowingly started liking her but refused to admit it, although his two best friends could easily tell he did. Once they acknowledged they liked each other, from then on their love for each other grew deeper and more meaningful. Yes lots of kisses and hugs in the 2nd half, but not too raunchy lol. Very sweet...
36 episodes was a tad too long for me. It did drag and I skipped quite a lot. The funny parts unfortunately I didn’t find all that hilarious. The funny backing music I also found quite childish and annoying. The dramatic scenes were also a tad TOO dramatic, with lingering cries and regrets, plots of revenge and anger. The fighting scenes were good and not enough! The backing music for the dramatic scenes were good, and the OST was quite memorable as well.
It has a taste of Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (Korean drama) , with the revenge, evil plots, abuse of power and struggle and fight for the throne, but just only 1/4 of its intensity. It is a happy ending and although I skipped a lot, I did find it quite engaging and finished it. :)
