It's Okay to Not Be Okay Episode 12 Reactions
The only episode so far I haven't really enjoyed. Don't love the contrived "twist" reveals. Was really hoping the show was going somewhere more original. The emotional and plot beats are starting to feel like every other show out there, when what I really liked was how fresh this series was. Feels like we're hitting the classic drama third act slump. Hopefully it can pull it together by the end.

She didn´t know why he was avoiding her and I felt so heartbroken for her. Yeah I know it's hard for him but she isn´t to blame. I felt bad for his brother too like nobody but him knew what was going on. However, I´m so glad that he came to the photoshoot at the end and I hope everything will be alright.

It was funny how Ko and Sang were bickering and Gang felt like he was third wheeling. His friend is right about Gang being like a sly fox towards him. AH! The head nurse is giving me creepy vibes and the president of hospital just told her important details. I am loving the story of 3 of them she is planning to write. “Don’t want to be jealous of my child” and Ko saying she wants a son in the supermarket… These dialogues are hilarious. So proud of Sang that he is willing to face his trauma head on! Ah that patient keeping the butterfly. Such a heartwarming conversation in the bus between patient and Sang and his character growth was amazing! The way he helped the patients become grounded who was having PTSD. The jacket and the butterfly pin is the same in the picture. The head nurse needs to reveal herself now. Why on earth did she kill Sang and Gang’s mother? Was she jealous of her? But why? Was she caretaker/nanny to Ko? A family is when there is family portrait. We need remember all these dialogues from the show. They are golden. Be there for him and support him quietly, don’t pry about his feelings and thoughts. His friend is the best! Oh my god, Gang’s conversation with the president, I cried Yeah! Family photo is sooooooo nice <3

Sighh they used the oldest trick in the melodrama playbook (female lead's parent killed the male lead's parent -- or vice versa), but at least they didn't go full melo and have Gang Tae break up with Moon Young without any explanation and move out of the house. That's what I was expecting, honestly. I'm not thrilled with this turn of events, but given that they chose this route, I thought they handled Gang Tae's aftermath pretty well. I'm sure it won't end here, but at least he's thinking of everyone concerned rather than just drowning in torment.

I am out of words for this drama. The acting from each cast, not only the main leads is so honest and true to their delivery of emotions, thus leading to the character coming to life. For example, I do not see Kim Soo Hyun in Moon Kang Tae, or Oh Jung Sae in Moon Sang Tae, etc. I am usually never into a thriller, suspense, or crime series though I try to watch them if the plot is intriguing and well written. I am sure there are tons of drama centering primarily around psychology. I, as someone with no background in Psychology/Psychiatry, find this drama in particular very interesting and I wait for Sat and Sun eagerly. This rarely happens to me. I think this drama is doing its magic. I like drama that touches on a lot of topics, not just crime, romance, comedy, or law. This is a perfect blend of all genres. A bonus is a healing part of this drama. No wonder people were going crazy about this. My anticipation and expectations were well served by the IOTNBO team.I laughed so hard at the Motel scene lmao. How can someone be so blunt and honest about one's desire? I have never seen someone as honest as MY in real life and that is sad.Ep 6- The best episode for me: From the start till the end of that episode, all I felt was love and emotions in a really-honestly good way. From MY mistaking the mistaken patient (herself) as her mother for a brief moment to MY asking her for her *expensive* jacket as a payment, which eventually helped the lady get rid of her longing regrets, everything was perfect. Plus the ending scene. My heart awww.Shoutout to KT-KS friendship: I really love and admire Jae Soo's love and admiration for Kang Tae. I don't remember which episode but in one episode he mentioned how he wished for a younger, reliable, and loving brother like KT for himself. But then realized it was another burden for KT. Henceforth JS decided to stay as KT's rock so that KT can always find him around whenever he needs JS. Pure friendship(tears). I love JS so much. I cry every time Kang Tae cries. huhuhuI like how Nam Joo Ri and Sang Ri is slowly developing their feeling for each other. Sang Ri is really my fav character. He is so understanding of everyone. This man!#Somebody, please check on my BP and Pulse rate. I think I am definitely not okay. They are giving me so many heart flittering moments with a solid plot and acting. MindBlown!

It was so freaking sad when he found out who the culprit of her mother was. I still hope is not her mother. Aaaaaaaaii so confusing. But hell this drama is amazing acting is brilliant! Sang Tae is so amazing I like to listen to him. In his scene I really really replay his scenes. Makes my day.

I think many people are turned off by the theme of the show. The promotions looked little too intense for me and I wasn't sure that I wanted to watch it initially. But I am so glad I did. It is such a special show with lovely characters and a great story and surprisingly bright despite the subject matter.I am not a serial kdrama watcher and this is only the second one I am watching as it is airing but I doubt there have been many other shows that have handled this storyline as sensitively and beautifully. Watching Moon Sang Tae evolve into the adult he wants to be is so heartwarming especially in the recent episodes.Sad that only 4 episodes are left but this one will definitely be worth more than a few rewatches. For those still hesitating, please do not miss this show.

Why am I surprised this episode broke me?! The drama went back to it's old formula with let's give our viewers all they want and more on Saturdays and break them on Sundays. With that said, even though my heart was breaking it was also full of confidence that things will work out the way it should. These characters have came a long way and I cannot be more thrilled I have been with them from the beginning.Yes, I am fully invested and am now devastated that it's drawing closer to the end.

These screenwriters are damning me to hell in the form of 5 days and 18 hours before episode 13.Our trio's new normal is filled with light and the trivial acts of living day to day as a family. Moon Young and Kang Tae shopping for groceries with her screaming that she wants them to have a baby boy had me laughing out loud. Seriously, Moon Young and Sang Tae are so much alike in personality, it almost makes me want to believe the theory that they are actually siblings. Their interactions and squabbles make my world. With all good roller coasters, the highest point is always followed by the rush of falling back to earth. Sang Tae's character growth pushes him to recount to his brother and the Director about his memory of the butterfly. As he tells his recollection of events, there is loss and sorrow growing in Kang Tae's eyes. He knows the butterfly pendant belonged to Moon Young's mother and this truth makes him want to run as far away as possible. He faces the dilemma of choice between staying and hurting Moon Young with the past or running away and turning his back on the spoken direction of wanting to never moving again. At the end of the episode, when their family portrait is taken, he chooses to stay but there is a haunting expression in his eyes. The truth of his mother's murder might be the room with no door for escape to Moon Young. I've stated with every review how enamored I am with this show but today's episode absolutely left me in my thoughts for hours afterward. Whether this show ends in tragedy or happily, I'm on board. This truly is an emotional roller coaster ride and I'm in it until the end.

Eu queria que It’s Okay to Not Be Okay tivesse tragédias e profundidade emocional como Daily Dose of Sunshine, mostrando mais o lado humano dos pacientes, sabe?
