A bit boring in the opening but after a while it got very interesting and WILL KEEP YOU HOOKED.
“The first step is always the hardest. But once you take the first step, things will get easier from then on.”I haven't seen enough k-dramas that talk about mental illness's like this. They focus on one illness; depression but this drama tells there's more to mental illness than depression.
In the start, I liked it but after the third episode I started to feel like it was really boring but as I moved on; I loved it. And it teaches a lot of lesson too such as the struggles children face with possessive parents and how parents can neglect a child without realizing it.
The cast and acting was so amazing ,I fell for Oh Jung Se and his acting. IT WAS AMAZING.
And Ko Moon Young + Gang Tae's chemistry was off the top awesome.
SPOILER ALERT!!
The only thing I disliked was the story of Moon Young's mum was a bit unrealistic. Even if she had so many surgeries, there's no way that she lived for 2 decades on no one knew who she was.

WOOOOOW Definitely became one of my favourite ever
finally I found something that worth watching with a great epilogue
This drama was soooooo emotional
I enjoyed every second watching it
I even dreamt with many times 😂😂 LOL
The plot was great
The story was solid
It had it all
Comic , drama, romance, anger, villains, psycho issues and how to deal with
But as usual
It's always Mother's fault 💔😂
I only hated the ML acting a little bit, I think he should work more on his facial expressions
The FL was extremely amazing
Jung se was brilliant in his role
And the head Dr was amazing I loved him
I liked that the main leads were clinging to each other and decided to cross anything together
This drama had no cheap repeated cliches
The romance was brilliant and it was in its place really
I had butterflies many many times
The only thing I wished was to see the mother got a proper punishment not just being jailed
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

A perfect balance entertainment of romance, crime/mystery, family drama, comedy.
A perfect balance entertainment of romance, crime/mystery, family drama, comedy.A well casted show, from the lead cast to the supporting characters.. The plot of the story started as if it was like any other kind of RomCom. In this one, girl meets boy and liked him on the spot. Pursued and annoyed him relentlessly until they became friends.
Both of them, bruised and battered by the past but together they've overcome every obstacles, doubts, fears and insecurities.
It was heart warming too see the relationship between the brothers, the relationship between mother and daughter, even the friendships around the ML and FL. The side stories of the supporting characters were well written, it didn't feel like a bunch of unsubstantial stories pierced together just to create a bigger picture. This one is really worth watching..

HUMAN HEALING DRAMA
Now when i look at it, this drama contains a lot in it, especially when it's a healing drama with containing mental health issues it attracts you to itself.**STORY**
I loved the plot a lot. It's my first time seeing this kind of drama, so i wad geniunely impressed while watching it.
**ACTING/CAST**
The performance was amazing. The chemistry was overflowing, the way Seo Yeaji portrayed Ko Moon Young and made her a relatable, baddas, and a strong character was perfect. I really liked Kim soo hyun's, Park Gyu young's, Ji Hye-won's acting skills. I also liked how Oh Jung se portrayed an autistic character so perfectly, when you are an amazing actor you are capable of it.
**MUSIC**
Was okay. I don't mind OSTs oftenly lot in dramas.
**REWATCH VALUE**
Listen, i'm not someone who rewatches dramas. But, whenever i feel bored or empty maybe i can rewatch the best trio here, their scenes etc.
Overall, one of the best human healing dramas i can say🫶🫶

I love it!
It was one of the very first dramas I watched, left a pretty good impression on me (I finished this show about 1 year ago but I recently found out about this app)I tend to drop shows if they don't interest me between the first 3 episodes, but this one was different, it was interesting since the start
I really loved how the relationship between the FL And the ML (including the brother) developed through out the series, I believe Moonyoung and Sangtae's sibling-like relationship made the drama better
Although I would say Moonyoung sometimes would make me cringe (ex: when whe m0aned in the mental hospital) or when she would touch his abs without Gangtae's permission🤨, i think that is the only bad thing about the show (for ME)
I would've liked if they showed more about Moonyoung's mom transformation, I believe it would have been awesome if the showed how she managed to even work at the hospital!!
This drama deserves 10/10, so good and I recommed everyone who just started watching kdramas to watch this as one of their first's,it made such an impact on me and made me want to discover more about the Kdrama world.
Thank you IONTBO❤️🩹

a very sweet and relatable show
I have an older brother who is similar to sang-tae from this show. I actually identified with gang-tae this show so, so much. For this reason, I am very greatful this show was made. It brings awareness to a unique family dynamic and the struggles of not only combating mental health issues but also being a caregiver. However, it seems the show hit too close to home and that's why the ending left me dissatisfied. It felt like gang-tae was relinquishing one responsibility for another.I come back here because I recently watched Twinkling Watermelon, which reminded me of this show. It is great to see such amazing kdramas handle disabilities and mental health so well. Oh Jung Se acted incredibly and I believe this is his best work.

Dark Fairytale
IT'S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY (2020) is a noteworthy kdrama, with a dark, modern twist on the fairy tale romance genre. It had a really interesting flavor, especially with the gothic fairytale/ story book aspects."An extraordinary road to emotional healing opens up for an selfish antisocial children's-book writer and a selfless psych-ward caretaker when they cross paths."
I really loved Seo Ye-Ji in her role as the mysterious Go Moon Young, a children's gothic fairytale author. She was really brilliant in this role.
Without giving anything away, in terms of plot and theme, I will just say that this drama strongly focuses on a variety of topics revolving around mental health, psychology, childhood trauma, repressed memories, autism spectrum disorder, antisocial personality disorder, child abuse, dysfunctional families, post traumatic stress disorder, etc.
This dark romance series, while not perfect, was definitely interesting and meaningful. The characters were all very memorable. It was a pretty beautiful drama.

little prince
I remember how much I enjoyed watching the series when it was broadcast.Although there was some ambiguity about the mother of the main female character, but it had a beautiful and attractive story and script.
I must say about the acting, they were great. The main roles played the characters that were defined for them in the best way.
I feel that the author of the series was inspired by the story of "The Little Prince". In the sense that he mixed deep emotional issues with stories with a juvenile and almost childish tone.
All in all, a series with a special and beautiful story and script in the form of an atmosphere with a bit of a magical feeling along with awesome OSTs

Amazing story which deserves more attention
I am writing this after watching many many kdramas and I could say that there are dramas that you either enjoy watching or you don’t. And then there are dramas like this that manage to impact you and last long in your heart.Honestly, this is my first kdrama I ever watched because my sister introduced me to it( I watched winter sonata but it was an anime and last episode was real tv, so it doesn't count) IOTNBO has made me feel many things that time and I can’t believe how it impacted me at that time .
I think i agree to KSHLOVE summary about this drama and agree to it .
This drama might be either something you love or you don’t. We all have different stories. But what I’m really sure of is that this drama will always have a special place in my heart. :’)

Not what I was expecting, but some great acting!
I saw some clips on Youtube and thought I knew what this show was going to be like, and I was wrong, well partly wrong.Ko Moon Young is such a unique character, and if she wasn't so incredibly beautiful, it would be too, too easy to dislike her. She has such long beautiful hair, and beautiful eyes, and I think her waist actually got smaller near the end of the series, it was so tiny! She was always dressed really well. Ko Moon Young can act though, and go from no emotion, to great emotion.
Moon Gang Tae was basically the male version of Ko Moon Young. Wow, can he act! The guy could go from a face like a statue, to so emotional, that you could feel it.
Moon Sang Tae plays a character with Autism, and does such a great job of it. I thought he really had it. I really didn't care for the character in the beginning, and I think they meant for you not to really like him that much, but by the end, that changes.
I swear, I think everyone in the show can smile better than just about anyone else. Talk about changing the way someone looks with a smile. Just unreal!!!
This is a serious show. The focus is on the mind. The majority of it is with characters from a mental hospital. Every character has a interesting personality. The caregivers have the patience of Saints!
Pretty much every character has some serious mental baggage to deal with, and that's all the main characters as well.
There are many funny moments, but some very intense moments, and many moments that have you thinking. It's pretty deep, and they are really good at making characters. If you like reading between the lines, you can do it here, because they are that good with the acting.
If you're looking for a show that doesn't require tissues, then this one isn't for you.
It's quite a interesting show, but it might not be for everyone. This isn't fluff, this is a pretty serious story being told.
Would I rewatch it, maybe, a good way into the future. Just to see Ko Moon Young I might do it. :)

A beautiful insight into neurological and mental disorders!
This drama will always have a special place in my heart. It was one of my first dramas too! It follows a man who works in a psychiatric hospital, a children’s author who has antisocial personality disorder and the ML’s brother who is autistic and whom he looks after as his guardian. It explores much more than just romance. It highlights the difficulties in being a sole guardian of a person with autism but also being someone with a neurological disorder. It also explores their lives and experiences as the main characters fall in love and live their lives too. I will always recommend this drama if someone asks. I don’t recall ever feeling bored watching this drama, so please watch it!Was this review helpful to you?

Multiple great messages learned from watching this masterpiece
Story- The overall story was absolutely amazing! The story explaining how Ko moon Young and Moon Gang Tae first met draws you in and creates a good pathway for the romantic plot of their story to keep progressing. Gang Tae and Sang Taeś story is something that can make a grown man come to tears. Gang Tae has to grow up fast and takeover the older brother role, which really makes the watchers relate and feel for Gang Tae as a character. While some may find it hard to feel for Sang Tae at the start, there is no possibility but to come to love his character as the story progresses. Some people may say that Ko Moon Young needed to ¨face her problems¨, I find that her living together with Sang Tae and Gang Tae was a sort of therapy for her. There cohabilitation was a cure for her loneliness and was a learning experience for her outbursts.Cast- Seo Yea Ji was a perfect fit for Ko Moon Young. Her facial structure really emphazed Ko Moon Youngs emotions and she fit the ¨I always get what I want¨ type very well, I dont think the show would have been the same without her as Ko Moon Young. Oh Jung Se deserves an award for his acting as Sang Tae. I almost believed that the actor was actually on the Autism spectrum because I thought he played his role so well (I have never personally seen someone with autism, nor will I claim to). Kim Soo hyun played the role of a big brother very well. His acting when he tried hiding his anger and when he was actually angry felt so real, and his chemistry with Seo Yea Ji was great!
Music- I have watched many dramas with absolutely terrible music. Many dramas seemed like they were using the same song as all the other popular dramas and the music fade would always be terrible. But the music in this show was refreshing and original. The music fade was great especially during the ¨I said I love you¨ scenes.
Personal opinion- Though Moon Young played her way into Sang Tae and Gang Tae´s life, Gang Tae wanted to be with her, and Sang Tae obviously felt the need to help her. Sang Tae made his choice to be with her knowning her intentions, (having him) which she made eztremely clear from the start of the show. If I did have one problem with this drama it would be how anticlimatic Ko Moon Youngs mothers story was at the end.
