Finally a smart, beautiful, hard-working female lead! She literally has everything, but she didn't take anything for granted and really have a good value in her life.

The male lead, how can I say........ he's a man of his words. Very responsible and protects everything that he can protects.

The chemistry was superb!!!!! Now I can't watch their drama and the romantic scene with other actors >< oh and also I enjoyed the slow burn romance hahahaha. In this drama, they dont have too much skinship, but whenever happened it really heart warming & full of love. I can say a drama is good whenever they have not too much kissing scene to show that they're in love. But from little things they do and sacrifice for their significant other.

Amazing chemistry and beautiful love

This drama was really amazing, i had it in my playlist since the first trailer came out, but didn't watch it until now, 8 months later, I guess i was concern it may be one of those with a break up and just have my heart hurting r something, but then i decided it was in my playlist for too long and i should watch it. I was hooked from the first episode, though my expectations wasn't high i knew it was gonna be good, but not that good, it was way better than i expected, the FL was so beautiful, intelligent, well dressed and she was not annoying in any way at all, the ML was soo handsome, not cocky and mean, he was also intelligent and hardworking, they had amazing chemistry and i dare to say one of the best couple i ever saw in a cdrama.

The friend was a tiny bit annoying when they got to college, but then it was whatever, everyone did amazing in there roles, nothing was left to question, i didn't find any plot holes either, i finish the drama well satisfied, haven't seen a drama in a long time that the entire last episode was filled with pure happiness, and not just the las 10 mins, that was really good.

there is soo much i can say about this drama, but i may end up writing a book here hahaha, so i'll just say this couple, this drama, the story, the acting it's a 10/10 for me ad i usually don't give 10/10, i enjoyed this. I binge it without being overly obsessive or anything haha, it was a great watch, you can watch this in any mood at any time, its not heavy on drama, its just really great, and the message as well was great, about changing your life, making dreams into reality.

New to Cdrama? This one's great as a first watch!

I went into this drama not expecting much, but I was floored by how good everything was.

The story explores the lives of FL & ML's high school years, uni years, and working life. The 24 episodes were SO well paced, I never got bored at any of the stages.

Acting-wise, FL & ML had great chemistry together, and FL, for her first-ever drama, acted exceptionally well. She was very likeable, perfect for the role, and her expressions were spot on! I also liked the casting of many of the secondary characters, like Qiu Yan, Shen Wen Yue, and Huai Wu.

Stuff I didn't really like:
-The final wedding scene. Ugh, it was so anti-climatic!
-The FL's best friend and her r/s

Final thoughts: A very cozy and well-paced drama to watch!

A pleasant surprise

I was looking for something light and easy to watch and I happen to come across the reviews for this drama so I decided to give it a halfhearted shot. What a nice surprise! The plot is nothing out of the ordinary by any means but the main leads performed the most natural acting I have ever seen for their age and for this kind of genre. They both carried the series with such ease that I found myself cheering for them each time they encounter a conflict or a problematic person. There weren’t too many push and pull with regards to their relationship which is probably why I consider this drama fresh, I particularly like how they respected and handled each other’s personality with the utmost understanding but without the patronizing. The series showed how they gently and patiently earned each others’ trust, emphasis on the gently and patiently, which I don’t see a lot in real life or in other dramas so to speak. It also helped that the character development progressed just at the right pace. While the leads aren’t the most good looking by the industry’s current standards they are the most lovable and endearing faces I’ve watched. I fell in love with their love, if you know what I mean.

If you are looking for a feel good feeling at the end of a drama this one will be it.

SUPER REFRESHING

ok guys this is literally the first drama i am ever writing a review for like no joke i literally created this account FOR THIS PURPOSE. because i had to. that's how good this drama was. no toxic relationship, no massive misunderstandings, filled with emotions and meaning (not just romance in terms of how they stood by each other till the end, but also friendships and other very important life stories which you don't usually see in other dramas). the cast was SPECTACULAR, not just in terms of visuals but also the acting was amazing... which totally wasn't what i was expecting - i have never seen either of them act before. I LOOOOOOOVE how their relationship takes off after they got together, unlike other dramas whereby it gets suuuuper boring after the leads get together smh. the side plots... 10/10 as well. music was very fitting. plot was not spectacular, but execution was ON POINT. people compare it to love o2o and i agree because it's 90% fluff, and even the sad parts have important takeaways. the leads never let anyone else determine their relationship, not the sickening qinyue or shiying, or even xia linxi's obsessive roommate. my favourite character would have to be zhang huaiwu, i kept replaying his parts so many times HAHA he's such a goofball. overall, if you're hesitating, i say you should definitely check this drama out... so underrated, wow. my favourite cdrama ever since love o2o. big props to the cast, directors and writers - thank you so much for this masterpiece!

(oh if i had to nitpick, the ending could be a littleeeeee less abrupt... you know, the event at the last few minutes of the show i feel wasn't SUPER necessary)

The only thing that I like from this drama is the main couple's chemistry. This kinda plot always intrigued me in a heartwarming way. The actors did their part incredibly, I can't believe that the FL is only 18 years old. I can say that she's so daring to take this role, to keep in mind because of the intimate scenes. Her kissing scene is much better than those much older actress. I smile from ear to ear whenever their lovey dovey part come on screen. It's like, seeing a real couple's cute interactions and then I feel guilty LOL. To be honest, I feel like everyone's success is a bit exaggerated. The story starts when they're 18 years old and the story end 6 years later which is 18 + 6 = 24 years old. At the age of 24, everyone already married and have a successful future together. It's not realistic because in this day and age, not everyone can achieves success and marriage at 24 years old. By everyone I mean the leads and the leads's friends. But for the Male Lead, I can understand it because he starts early. The writer is overly romanticising everything in this drama.

But, I find a lot of unnecessary scene and many plot holes such as time sequence between the scene. The last scene at the wedding, they could've just give the couple a happy wedding tho. Why would they add another conflict? Other than the main lead CP, I find every character so cringy especially the FL high school bestfriend. I can't stand her character when she was pursuing her crush. I was like, please keep your dignity intact girl! and I feel bad for the FL university bestfriend, she's so beautiful and elegant. I was hoping that she'll end up with different guy that is worthy of her. Her boyfriend-now-husband is such an evil guy whilst she is such a kindhearted girl. I don't understand why the writer insist on pairing her with him.

The 3 musketeers that I hate, the childhood senior, the dorm senior, and the dorm mate. I call them 'The Obsessive Gang'. I must confess that their action confuses me, why be so obsessive when the lead couple happy together? at first, the childhood senior was portrait as a cool, mature guy but his action next is really low. The audacity of him questioning the male lead's sincerity towards the female lead when he, himself, is the one that blocking the male lead's future? just wow-me. The dorm senior girl, she portrayed as a beautiful, smart, understanding girl but she always uses an underhanded means to bring down the female lead when it is clear that the female lead never give the guy she likes a chance. Here comes the third annoying person in the drama, the dorm mate. I understand that she feel jealous because she envy the FL, for her beauty, her richness, and her boyfriend. But what I don't understand is, what is her reasoning to slap the girl? Did she snatch her boyfriend? no, Did ZH ever mislead her? no, So why the slap on the face? and she did not redeem herself only until she saw the FL in need of money. She. Never. Apologize, and never show regret.

Hence, I said, I like this drama mainly because of the lead's chemistry together. They look like a real couple in a real relationship, although sometime I find their interactions boring. But I also like that there're not many misunderstanding and no unnecessary break up. They talk to each other, even though they still keep few things from each other but they handled it maturely.

A Pure & Sweet Love Story

I really enjoyed this series. It’s a very simple, sweet love story that’s free of any drama-trauma. While there are a few toxic characters I actually ended up being thankful for their presence simply because I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Leads handle each of them so satisfyingly. 🙌🏻

The Leads meet & fall for each other in high school but, due to circumstances beyond either of their control, they’re separated before either can confess. Which is disappointing because they had such a cute dynamic - the tutoring aspect added such a great layer to their bond.

Move forward to their college days & they’re reunited. The ML is there to win her back, but she isn’t quite ready to forgive him for disappearing on her so suddenly before, nor for not giving her any warning that he’d be attending the same university as her. So, needless to say, the ML has his work cut out for him to get back in her good graces. He’s crazy about her, though, so he’s not deterred by the effort required to get her to agree to be his. He’s super motivated, both in his pursuit of her & in his studies. He has goals & dreams that he’s determined to achieve. He’s not afraid of hard work, nor does he expect a free ride. He’ll earn everything he gets, one step at a time. He’s honest, loyal, & totally green 💚

The FL is a perfect partner for him. She’s smart, kind, & beautiful. She’s innocent but not stupid, sweet but not annoying. She doesn’t set out to make waves, but she will stand up for herself when others wrong her. She’s a very admirable character who doesn’t let anyone mistreat, manipulate, or bully her. And though she’s leery of getting her heart broken by the ML again, he’s still the only one she has eyes for. She genuinely wants him to succeed in earning her trust back, even if she doesn’t show it. She doesn’t give other’s a real chance to sway her because her heart has always been his. He’s the one she wants to be with, she just needs him to prove his words first. And prove them he does. 💜

They’re such a solid duo that watching them was totally angst free ‘cause they’re a couple that simply made me believe they would always hold tight to one another. Thankfully, they didn’t let me down! When love rivals came along, they were both very clear & firm in rejecting them. They never allowed time for misunderstandings to grow, always making sure to communicate with one another when a potential threat to their relationship arose. And when parental approval seems impossible (I seriously wanted to smack the FL’s mom a few times…😡), they stay positive that it will all work out. They’ll accept nothing else.

If you’re looking for a show about young adults falling in love & pursuing their dreams together that won’t leave you tense from unnecessary drama, I highly recommend giving this a shot. 👍🏻

I preferred the part when they were still high school students. I think that was the part where the whole story felt so special. Overall though, they really have managed to keep to the main theme of the drama. Other than the couples, Qiuyan is my favourite character! She was very logical and mature all through out the story and she has this comforting older sister vibe. I also enjoyed Huai Wu's presence.

This is a great depiction of a love that makes each one a better person.

However, this could have been a lot shorter. I started forcing myself to finish this as the story went on - the lack of conflict and the very contrived ones were almost too much to bear sometimes. You really just have to take it for what it is in those times although it is more disappointing here as it has shown quite a good premise at the start. What made me what though was the overall message of the story. I think they have successfully shown that message of the drama and 'Forever Love' is a befitting title for the story.

The unnecessary conflicts were overblown most of the time, made overly dramatic when in reality and in all obviousness, weren't as serious as what they made it up to be. That is one glaring flaw to me.

But overall, I love the whole team together. Great ensemble which made the story feel a lot more special. Just wanted to see more at the end although it was a happy ending for the couple.
