They said it mature but ended up childish
Ok first thing ya feelings are something you can't direct or control. But the feelings of Jojo was so pure in season 1 as compared to season 2. She left sun-oh without any reasoning and she was the reason he smiled so bright. I just wonder how come unreasonable hurting of one person amounts to mature choice🤷♀️. I was really excited for season 2 but now as it has been released I did not like it. Views are personal at last.I would re-watch season 1 instead of 2. I really thought she would understand the time spent with Sun-oh and his feelings because the way he loved Jojo, the other male character wasn't even admitting his feelings towards her at the very beginning this shows how much Sun-oh was firm from the very first.
The way Jojo had this crisp quirkyness attitude towards Sun-oh was incomplete in season 2 with respect the othe male lead. Honestly I felt it is Sun-oh who completed her and made her love herself even with her past fear and Jojo completed Sun-oh with a smile and happiness that was missing throughout in his life.

???2 years waiting for this?!
If two years ago me could tell me to drop this drama, I would!!!Don’t. Just don’t. I was so disappointed.... It just so annoying! It doesn’t resolve itself like it should. Ughhhhhh. I can’t believe she didn’t consider Su-oh’s feelings. Blatantly inconsiderate! This is making me so upset ☹️ It could have been done much better. I think the whole story arc is lame. After so long, it could have been done so much better! Ext time I might not wait years to finish a drama! Better things to see albeit the actors are pretty good

Very boring.
There was not much history because it was over in the first season, nothing has changed. There wasn’t much plot or things to happen, besides that every episode the Sun Oh character was crying, which made you not even cheer for the main couple, which was kind of boring (in my opinion), but they were even cute at times (no hate). Waste of time. I finished at full speed by accelerating. Very disappointing.I think they wanted to convey the idea that love can be built with time and choice, I don't know if that can be true. I didn't even understand why she chose not to like Sun Oh anymore. But, I think that this idea may not always work.

A waste of time
Honestly, I really thought I was going to enjoy this season, and I really do want to like it. But it's just so boring that i feel like ive wasted my time. Its so obvious that they added on 'mini' stories to be able to make more episodes in the second season. theres so many uneccesary things and the only episodes that actually add onto the 'plot' are the last 2.Its been about 4 years since the characters have been in high school ( i think? i may be wrong) , but yet theres no sort of plot development, no character development and its almost like nothing has changed. Jojo hasnt changed one bit and is taking some sort of classes, but we are never told what classes shes even taking. she has no life goals, dreams or even hobbies. all she does is run around thinking of whose love alarm to ring. Hyeyongs life literally only depends on him loving jojo and texting her 'have you eaten' or 'have a good day', its literally the same thing everytime and it gets so boring and repetitive that you physically cannot watch all of it in one go without pausing for a while. They couldve done so much more and yet they wasted such an opportunity.
The only character that was interesting was Gulmi, she actually has some sort of goal and shes trying to carry it out, shes actually changed in the past 4 years and shes realized that she messed up.
The huge cliff hanger at the end of season 1 is also never mentioned, its almost as if it never happened. and the anti love alarm group is never mentioned either.
I would only watch this to find out who jojo ends up with, but other than that I feel like I had to force my self to sit through it and just hope that something interesting would actually happen.

Was it necessarily needed
Love alarm season 1 I did not really like but decided to give season 2 a try but still left the same opinion. With love alarm I love that it has a deeper meaning and can be very sociological, physiological... But that was all. The ratings I thought was to high on the first season.
Season 2 brings alight the some what love triangle, I did not think JoJo look at both sides, it made me annoyed since I did not read the webtoons so I still did not know who she would end up with and it would of disappointed me if she went with Sunho. So I guess it did get me in thinking, but it was 6 episode for that to happen.
I did not really think all the story lines (plots) were necessarily needed.

I don't want to be rude but I personally didn't like the season2 of this drama. It was predicted long ago that jojo will not end up with suho. I will not lie, I was never satisfied listening to this but I still watched the season2 because I was curious of how will the writer convince the audience that jojo should end sunho with hyeong and not sunho since most of the people who watched the s1 anted her to end with sunho. So continuing with what I just said, my curiosity led me to watch it but turns out there were no efforts made to convince the audience, but there was just a ending that we had to accept without any explanation. If you have watched s1 you will understand why everyone is shipping sunho and jojo but if you haven't then it is because of the genuine an sweet chemistry they had, and trusts me the s2 only has a single kiss of sunho and jojo but that is the most romantic and memorable scene for me. the reason why the ending was a mess (according to me ) was because 1. jojo and hyeong did not have any chemistry but still ended up together.
2. Sunho was suddenly shown happy and tried to accept yukjo, despite the fact that he still loved jojo and was in the process of healing
3. Jojo's cousin still didn't accept duku gu's feelings and hurt him even when she got to know what all he had to go through for her.
4. It is still a mystery for the users regarding what happened to dukugu and when he said during the last episode when he met jojo to give her the love alarm log that even though my age is 23 i still feel like i am 18. does that indicate that he was not conscious for 5 years and that suicided scene of him in the s1 was real.
5. i was not even sure of why did jojo's shield not removed at the end when dukugu finally made his appearance since he was the developer and according to the drama the developer could remove the shield.
6. There was another scene in the last episode when they revealed that brian chon was dukugu's brother and dukugo stated that he was against the launch of the 2.0 version of the app and at the end he tells his brother to give up on the latest version and behold the title of the developer forever. but there was no conclusion to that statement as well.
in short i would just say that there were a lot of mystery in this season and i seriously want as3 that solves all these problem and has a more cheerful concept.
As for the cast, according to me the cast did a great job in portraying what they were told to portray. The emotions portrayed were seriously excellent. I will be honest, i was crying the whole time i was watching this drama since this was a more on the serious side and mostly because song kang's character sunho was mostly sad and vulnerable for love which he never received till the end.
Sorry for such a long review. and a alert if you havent watched this drama until now and read my review, then i a sorry for spoiling it for you and and as for recommendation, I would say that if you really want some to watch some serious drama ten go ahead watch it .

A completely different drama
Firstly, I would like to do a very quick recap; As it's probably already known, the story is revolving around a love triangle between two best friends (Sun oh and Hye young) and their classmate, Kim Jo jo.The first season started off well with a very interesting and different kind of concept, that showed a very quick development of its own story between the two mains (Sun oh and Jo jo), and later with Hye young trying to win over the heart of a hopelessness girl.
With the arrival of the second season though Love Alarm felt like a completely different drama where, most of the time, had an unclear and confusing aspect. Its turning point happened when the screenwriter swiftly put aside Sun oh’s leading role, along with his feelings towards Jo jo, which felt like a regrettable decision that not only ruined the concept of the story but also the viewer’s patience.
With every chance Sun oh is shown on screen, it feels like the viewer is battling with him to understand all those upsetting feelings that are coming forth and with him not receiving any proper answers to his questions, there is no development around his character which leads to the thing I mentioned earlier – putting aside his leading role – and making him look like a clingy person that “begged” to be loved back.
The ending of the story becomes clear by episode 4 as you are left there – in front of the screen – asking yourself “where did this come from”. By the time you realize that there is no turning back to the decision-making, the screenwriter decides to finish this off by showing us how unnecessary the love triangle and its story was, from the beginning.
As it is probably already known, stories that include love triangles never end up in a good way and this drama here proved that it is no exception. The most frustrating part though is how it manages to turn a diverse story into a weak one that makes the viewer regret to even spent those 6 hours of their time while hoping that it would have followed a similar pace to the 1st season without making these last-minute "changes".

Not Good Enough
The second season of the Korean Drama " Love Alarm " takes things from where the first season left off, years after the events that lead to the main couple splitting up. This season doesn't have the advantage of the school genre that always adds some innocence and freshness to the plot. It actually doesn't have a plot, as the story focuses on JoJo and her struggle to accept herself and her feelings. The whole drama about her art, her past life, and the shield was sloppily handled and the family drama was overlooked. The side characters were also boring. One thing that this drama had going for it, at least, was the strong performances from the cast, especially from the leading lady. The twist with the romance was original too. However, the whole drama feels strange compared to the first season, like it's not its sequel. Rather, it's boring and rushed.
So, overall, 4 out of 10.

Say that I love you to the person you love.
Just started the new one. It’s got a whole different vibe to the first one with even better graphics but hate the dubbed American English accents. I’m watching on Netflix. I prefer the Korean with subtitles. Can’t get my head around the changes yet. Jojo is still so beautiful. The visuals still outstanding, beautiful spring blossoms this time trees just filled with gorgeous blooms and bending branches. Dramatic contrast of the two seasons. Love Alarms computer graphics , magnificent and appropriate for the drama. There is a lot of symbolism in this drama. We all go through a dark tunnel to come into the light.
That Hwang Sun Oh is just so selfish and arrogant. I forgot about persist and annoying. Please Jojo don’t fall for him, but what’s the odds. Don’t we always fall for the bad boy. Oh! I’m going to.
Just think if we really did rely on a “Love Alarm” in our lives and never actually express how we literally feel.
Lee Hye Young is her rock of true love and friendship. Why can’t she love him. So sad! Why do we make those same mistakes.
Then there are her predictions on her blog “The Ringing World.” Whatever she writes in it seems to come true. How is this happening. I’ve forgotten who knows she is the author.
Stephen McCarty from the South China Morning Post opined that "Love Alarm is not only an innocent love story but also deals with data protection, gay rights, the extreme consequences of heartache, and smartphone invasion.
It is a very clever statement of the world today.
They didn’t know her true story. Cheon Duk Goo was the that understood her the most. He knew sadness and heart ache
I loved Kim So Hyun as a child actor and she has gone from strength to strength. She embraced her childhood memories and sorted herself out
