DOesnt make sense at all.

Its too rushed. And also i think the story might not be making sense due to the first season. Sun Oh and Kim JoJo were still in love at the end of season 1. And i thought it might be continueing where the last episode ended. I think the first season was better. Maybe it should have ended like everyone wanted it to be. And why would she be with hye yeong if she still loves Sun Oh, but cant ring his love alarm because of the barrier or "Shield". In other words, I wouldnt recommend the second season of love alarm but the first one. Maybe they should think about doing Love Alarm once again, but with only one Season but 16 Episodes or something like that

Say that I love you to the person you love.

Just started the new one. It’s got a whole different vibe to the first one with even better graphics but hate the dubbed American English accents. I’m watching on Netflix. I prefer the Korean with subtitles. Can’t get my head around the changes yet. Jojo is still so beautiful. The visuals still outstanding, beautiful spring blossoms this time trees just filled with gorgeous blooms and bending branches. Dramatic contrast of the two seasons. Love Alarms computer graphics , magnificent and appropriate for the drama.

There is a lot of symbolism in this drama. We all go through a dark tunnel to come into the light.

That Hwang Sun Oh is just so selfish and arrogant. I forgot about persist and annoying. Please Jojo don’t fall for him, but what’s the odds. Don’t we always fall for the bad boy. Oh! I’m going to.

Just think if we really did rely on a “Love Alarm” in our lives and never actually express how we literally feel.

Lee Hye Young is her rock of true love and friendship. Why can’t she love him. So sad! Why do we make those same mistakes.

Then there are her predictions on her blog “The Ringing World.” Whatever she writes in it seems to come true. How is this happening. I’ve forgotten who knows she is the author.

Stephen McCarty from the South China Morning Post opined that "Love Alarm is not only an innocent love story but also deals with data protection, gay rights, the extreme consequences of heartache, and smartphone invasion.

It is a very clever statement of the world today.

They didn’t know her true story. Cheon Duk Goo was the that understood her the most. He knew sadness and heart ache

I loved Kim So Hyun as a child actor and she has gone from strength to strength. She embraced her childhood memories and sorted herself out

2 YEARS OF WAITING FOR SEASON 2 WAS NOT WORTH IT.

this has been anticipated for two damn years, two damn years. it's different for me because i watched this at the start of quarantine, in march, and here I am, one damn year later, so for me it was one year of anticipation, compared to others.

AND IT WAS NOT WORTH IT.

look, don't watch this, if you loved season one, don't watch this. season 2 literally took every scene, every moment, every smile and every laugh for granted and literally destroyed the value of season 1

and even if you're not team sunho, don't watch this, if i were sunho or hyeong hee, i'd fucking dump her ass. i dont fucking get what is it with her that entices both of them.

side character plot development was TRASH.

season 1, editing, production, aesthetic, scriptwriting and overall feel and vibe was so beautiful and so much more memorable, no matter how cheesy, IT WAS so much more better. this felt over exposed, the music was ringing in my ear and everything from the first 10 minutes turned me off.

i would have rather waited fifty more years, until my fucking death bed and die of curiosity than watch this.

it felt like nothing was happening, nothing was progressing despite the story moving forward,

and personally, the sideplots was honestly dumb, like this show was trying to be so many things at once; thriller, mystery, romance, tragedy, sad, etc.

only thing i liked, the editing is great, everyone's acting was great except the actor for brain cho (piss off mate) and SONG KANG, fuck sunho deserves the world. his character honestly was SO ROBBED. when you thought he was destroyed, he was fucking crushed, and when he was already crushed, he was torn to pieces, AND WHEN HE TRIED TO PICK THEM UP TOGETHER, TO FUCKING HOLD ON, his entire character, his entire being, who he is, what he is, what he believed in snapped.

i honestly don't understand Jojo and heung hee, their relationship didn't satisfy me, it didn't felt... to be yearned for, it didn't feel worth it, it felt like two mismatched pieces trying to piece together, but no matter how many times you try to squish them together, they wouldn't fit

FUCK YOU JOJO, for not only the heartache you caused to sunho, but just... just how you treated heung hee. stupidest heroine i've watched. both of these boys deserved better.

They said it mature but ended up childish

Ok first thing ya feelings are something you can't direct or control. But the feelings of Jojo was so pure in season 1 as compared to season 2. She left sun-oh without any reasoning and she was the reason he smiled so bright. I just wonder how come unreasonable hurting of one person amounts to mature choice🤷‍♀️. I was really excited for season 2 but now as it has been released I did not like it. Views are personal at last.
I would re-watch season 1 instead of 2. I really thought she would understand the time spent with Sun-oh and his feelings because the way he loved Jojo, the other male character wasn't even admitting his feelings towards her at the very beginning this shows how much Sun-oh was firm from the very first.
The way Jojo had this crisp quirkyness attitude towards Sun-oh was incomplete in season 2 with respect the othe male lead. Honestly I felt it is Sun-oh who completed her and made her love herself even with her past fear and Jojo completed Sun-oh with a smile and happiness that was missing throughout in his life.

???2 years waiting for this?!

If two years ago me could tell me to drop this drama, I would!!!
Don’t. Just don’t. I was so disappointed.... It just so annoying! It doesn’t resolve itself like it should. Ughhhhhh. I can’t believe she didn’t consider Su-oh’s feelings. Blatantly inconsiderate! This is making me so upset ☹️ It could have been done much better. I think the whole story arc is lame. After so long, it could have been done so much better! Ext time I might not wait years to finish a drama! Better things to see albeit the actors are pretty good

Very boring.

There was not much history because it was over in the first season, nothing has changed. There wasn’t much plot or things to happen, besides that every episode the Sun Oh character was crying, which made you not even cheer for the main couple, which was kind of boring (in my opinion), but they were even cute at times (no hate). Waste of time. I finished at full speed by accelerating. Very disappointing.

I think they wanted to convey the idea that love can be built with time and choice, I don't know if that can be true. I didn't even understand why she chose not to like Sun Oh anymore. But, I think that this idea may not always work.

Beautiful melancholy

“It doesn’t feel like two guys are fighting over one girl. I thought it was not a love triangle. Rather it was just a story about people facing each other. Rather than competing, it felt like expressing and conveying each other’s feelings. It didn’t feel like the typical ‘I’m going to have her!'” - my boy jung ga ram

Jojo had her own journey, her own emotions, her own psychology, so much that was shown that made her easy to understand (it was actually VERY heavy, too...). She wasn't the one who "split a male friendship" (if anyone did it's Sun Oh, but there isn't really such a thing. this is one of the most surface-value takes you can have about the drama), Hye Yeong himself needed independance because the relationship was based on his mother working for his family and Sun Oh was an immature teenager. In the end the meaning of the story was about healing, reconciliation and maturity for everyone (even side characters had great development, like Sun Oh's mother) and as I called it, the drama as a whole was a metaphor beyond a concept. The drama was a parallel to our reality and Jojo was a crucial character from what she proved about the app and people to the new developper who was delusional about 2.0 (how people just follow the algorithm and a program can't replace us because of timing and free will), how her backstory was also tied to the shield was beyond amazing, same with the theme of loneliness as she was tied to that subplot (the build-up to THAT scene, damn), and Love Alarm symbolizing people's loneliness. The shield represented people hiding their feelings while the spear was one's courage to face the weight of love. Meanwhile, she abandoned the plush, and at the same time her inner child which represented her trauma because it was too heavy. The same as she abandoned love later. She also felt bad and didn't blame Sun Oh. This was not about Sun Oh doing something wrong. And yes, Sun Oh never had a bad intention. I'm not going to say I wasn't conflicted about him from the start but this was never a black-and-white drama...

Love Alarm came out as the Netflix-trendy "love triangle for teenagers" and most of those only cared for the looks (Hye Yeong is gorgeous mind you but anyway) and the teenage romance from the beginning. ALL the comments about the drama were about how annoyed they were at the ending and subsequently Jojo. I also thought the subversion of clichés was brilliant (Yuk Jo's softness instead of being a villainous SFL was also refreshing), not to mention that reasons for breakup in kdramas used to be less realistic. (I suppose breaking up because your parent killed the other's would be pretty rare...)

Also, it is quite obvious that many skipped through the drama.

Season 1 was a base for the plot and the end of it was where I truly started to fall in love with it as the main romance started after Jojo's long isolation. Season 2 had a natural flow and logically way superior. The writing through seasons and the meaning of each (autumn's youth, winter's isolation, spring's blossoming romance, summer's new beginning), the parallels (between both seasons too) and contrasts, the lines, the beautiful narration and internal monologue, the metaphorical drawings, even animated, and the surreal scenes? I couldn't believe it was considered the worst drama... If anything it's better than most. It's rare to find so much symbolism in a kdrama, both visually and narratively. Also, of course nothing more was filmed for the first season's cliffhanger (Season 2 wasn't confirmed and it was unusual for a kdrama) but that was really not needed and what was done was much better as they paralleled the ending scene with the one where they all cross ways.

"It was not because of Love Alarm" - Jojo to Sun Oh

Character posters -

Jojo - "I told him for the first time that I like him"
Hye Yeong - "Whether that thing rings or not, it doesn't matter to me"
Sun Oh - "From now on, I'll trust only what your eyes tell me"
Yuk Jo - "I know that feeling of a burning heart, how can I beat that?"
Gul Mi - "Who, me? Why? What about me, exactly?" (our favorite comic relief with whom I had a love/hate relationship)

In conclusion, I found it to be the best representation of romance and Season 2 was CINEMA (though I already loved Season 1's dreamlike atmosphere), so many amazing shots. Which were far, extremely far from being meaningless. It was paintlike imagery level. Hye Yeong and Jojo are my favorite couple of all time, the subtle chemistry they had was a masterpiece by itself and I cried a LOT at the end. I appreciated the mature view of love after their young days and the nostalgic feel, it was a very sweet drama and the complex female lead was particularly compelling. Also the best ending I've ever seen... It reminded me of Melancholia, one of my favorite dramas as well. Love Alarm quickly took the first spot in my heart and how much I connected to Jojo and Hye Yeong made me never forget them.

P.S. I picked this username because of a Korean MMO where my friend named herself Jojo and I liked the name Sun Oh so I kept it, haha.

A fun fact: Song Kang and Jung Ga Ram became close friends in real life and they are both fans of Love Alarm.

A waste of time

Honestly, I really thought I was going to enjoy this season, and I really do want to like it. But it's just so boring that i feel like ive wasted my time. Its so obvious that they added on 'mini' stories to be able to make more episodes in the second season. theres so many uneccesary things and the only episodes that actually add onto the 'plot' are the last 2.

Its been about 4 years since the characters have been in high school ( i think? i may be wrong) , but yet theres no sort of plot development, no character development and its almost like nothing has changed. Jojo hasnt changed one bit and is taking some sort of classes, but we are never told what classes shes even taking. she has no life goals, dreams or even hobbies. all she does is run around thinking of whose love alarm to ring. Hyeyongs life literally only depends on him loving jojo and texting her 'have you eaten' or 'have a good day', its literally the same thing everytime and it gets so boring and repetitive that you physically cannot watch all of it in one go without pausing for a while. They couldve done so much more and yet they wasted such an opportunity.

The only character that was interesting was Gulmi, she actually has some sort of goal and shes trying to carry it out, shes actually changed in the past 4 years and shes realized that she messed up.

The huge cliff hanger at the end of season 1 is also never mentioned, its almost as if it never happened. and the anti love alarm group is never mentioned either.

I would only watch this to find out who jojo ends up with, but other than that I feel like I had to force my self to sit through it and just hope that something interesting would actually happen.

Was it necessarily needed

Love alarm season 1 I did not really like but decided to give season 2 a try but still left the same opinion.

With love alarm I love that it has a deeper meaning and can be very sociological, physiological... But that was all. The ratings I thought was to high on the first season.

Season 2 brings alight the some what love triangle, I did not think JoJo look at both sides, it made me annoyed since I did not read the webtoons so I still did not know who she would end up with and it would of disappointed me if she went with Sunho. So I guess it did get me in thinking, but it was 6 episode for that to happen.

I did not really think all the story lines (plots) were necessarily needed.
