I don't want to be rude but I personally didn't like the season2 of this drama. It was predicted long ago that jojo will not end up with suho. I will not lie, I was never satisfied listening to this but I still watched the season2 because I was curious of how will the writer convince the audience that jojo should end sunho with hyeong and not sunho since most of the people who watched the s1 anted her to end with sunho. So continuing with what I just said, my curiosity led me to watch it but turns out there were no efforts made to convince the audience, but there was just a ending that we had to accept without any explanation. If you have watched s1 you will understand why everyone is shipping sunho and jojo but if you haven't then it is because of the genuine an sweet chemistry they had, and trusts me the s2 only has a single kiss of sunho and jojo but that is the most romantic and memorable scene for me. the reason why the ending was a mess (according to me ) was because 1. jojo and hyeong did not have any chemistry but still ended up together.
2. Sunho was suddenly shown happy and tried to accept yukjo, despite the fact that he still loved jojo and was in the process of healing
3. Jojo's cousin still didn't accept duku gu's feelings and hurt him even when she got to know what all he had to go through for her.
4. It is still a mystery for the users regarding what happened to dukugu and when he said during the last episode when he met jojo to give her the love alarm log that even though my age is 23 i still feel like i am 18. does that indicate that he was not conscious for 5 years and that suicided scene of him in the s1 was real.
5. i was not even sure of why did jojo's shield not removed at the end when dukugu finally made his appearance since he was the developer and according to the drama the developer could remove the shield.
6. There was another scene in the last episode when they revealed that brian chon was dukugu's brother and dukugo stated that he was against the launch of the 2.0 version of the app and at the end he tells his brother to give up on the latest version and behold the title of the developer forever. but there was no conclusion to that statement as well.
in short i would just say that there were a lot of mystery in this season and i seriously want as3 that solves all these problem and has a more cheerful concept.
As for the cast, according to me the cast did a great job in portraying what they were told to portray. The emotions portrayed were seriously excellent. I will be honest, i was crying the whole time i was watching this drama since this was a more on the serious side and mostly because song kang's character sunho was mostly sad and vulnerable for love which he never received till the end.
Sorry for such a long review. and a alert if you havent watched this drama until now and read my review, then i a sorry for spoiling it for you and and as for recommendation, I would say that if you really want some to watch some serious drama ten go ahead watch it .

A completely different drama
Firstly, I would like to do a very quick recap; As it's probably already known, the story is revolving around a love triangle between two best friends (Sun oh and Hye young) and their classmate, Kim Jo jo.The first season started off well with a very interesting and different kind of concept, that showed a very quick development of its own story between the two mains (Sun oh and Jo jo), and later with Hye young trying to win over the heart of a hopelessness girl.
With the arrival of the second season though Love Alarm felt like a completely different drama where, most of the time, had an unclear and confusing aspect. Its turning point happened when the screenwriter swiftly put aside Sun oh’s leading role, along with his feelings towards Jo jo, which felt like a regrettable decision that not only ruined the concept of the story but also the viewer’s patience.
With every chance Sun oh is shown on screen, it feels like the viewer is battling with him to understand all those upsetting feelings that are coming forth and with him not receiving any proper answers to his questions, there is no development around his character which leads to the thing I mentioned earlier – putting aside his leading role – and making him look like a clingy person that “begged” to be loved back.
The ending of the story becomes clear by episode 4 as you are left there – in front of the screen – asking yourself “where did this come from”. By the time you realize that there is no turning back to the decision-making, the screenwriter decides to finish this off by showing us how unnecessary the love triangle and its story was, from the beginning.
As it is probably already known, stories that include love triangles never end up in a good way and this drama here proved that it is no exception. The most frustrating part though is how it manages to turn a diverse story into a weak one that makes the viewer regret to even spent those 6 hours of their time while hoping that it would have followed a similar pace to the 1st season without making these last-minute "changes".

Not Good Enough
The second season of the Korean Drama " Love Alarm " takes things from where the first season left off, years after the events that lead to the main couple splitting up. This season doesn't have the advantage of the school genre that always adds some innocence and freshness to the plot. It actually doesn't have a plot, as the story focuses on JoJo and her struggle to accept herself and her feelings. The whole drama about her art, her past life, and the shield was sloppily handled and the family drama was overlooked. The side characters were also boring. One thing that this drama had going for it, at least, was the strong performances from the cast, especially from the leading lady. The twist with the romance was original too. However, the whole drama feels strange compared to the first season, like it's not its sequel. Rather, it's boring and rushed.
So, overall, 4 out of 10.

The disappointment was unbearable.
I was so excited for the release of this series after such a long wait, for us diehard Love Alarm fans I wish I had researched the reviews before watching, I realized it had a total different direction when they jumped shipped straight into another time period and theme the first episode, I wouldn't recommend this train wrecked the storyline is a waste, my suggestion would be to stop at Love Alarm and pretend like Love Alarm 2 was never released. I'm so disappointed I can't properly express my true feelings. Just beware it's not the same. Was this review helpful to you?
Trash
Waited 2 years just to be disappointed!!!I regretted waiting for the season and I also regretted recommending this dram to my friends!
Worst KDrama ending!!! Don't watch it guys, super waste of time.
Season 2 is badly written!!! Deserves to be trashed.
Kim Jojo and Hye young, doesnt have chemistry, I never liked it, watching their sweet moments feels like forced, I didn't even smile or even felt a tingling feeling of love. They look good together as friends, but a couple? nah!
Writers and director wasted everyone's time! They built up sun-ho and jojo in season one, they have a great chemistry only to ruin everything in season 2. Had I known this will be the ending, I wouldn't have watched it all together and save myself from pain and disappointment.
Love alarm is one of my top 5 kdrama so I'm really angry that season 2 is so bad, it's now the the bottom of my list!

Honestly we didn't need this 2nd season...
I waited for 2 years and just to be disappointed. So much. Yes, it should just end on the 1st season. And this 2nd season shouldn't really exist if we're just gonna get some disappointed anticlimax storyline.Right from the start, the vibes of the drama already different from the 1st season. It's more gloomy and mellow even though the background is totally spring time! I know that they're older in this season, so they made this season look more serious and mature. But still, is it right to made them always crying or get in rain every time they have problem?
The plotline is so slow and I also feel like the conversation in this 2nd season is limited. They barely have conversation to each other and it's kinda made me bored while watched. And sorry to say, It made me skipped some part, especially with the background OST which made it more gloomy with some ballad songs. It's just useless scene to watch. The drama's whole vibes already gloomy, you didn't need to remind us in every scene. It's totally crush my expectation...
Yes, I did have some expectation. That Jojo will clear up the misunderstanding with Sun Oh, or at least talking decently. But meh... They're barely talking about why they have to break up, with Sun Oh only shouting angry and Jojo cried herself out. Argh... I already hate that from the start. I thought that it will get better after some episodes, but nope.
Jojo's character is just so self blaming, and I really can't stand that for the whole drama. I thought she will find some solace with Sun Oh by healing each other in the end, but none. Also Sun Oh's character in the end just accept everything without really try anything. Hye Yeong's past suddenly come out which just didn't get more impact for the drama. The outburst from character's old scars are usually the climax of the drama, but I didn't really got that in here. Hoft...
If they really want to make Jojo and Hye Yeong together in the end, they didn't need to prolonged until few years later just for her to finally realized that she's like Hye Yeong in the 2nd season. They're already together in the end of 1st season, so what needed is she explained herself to Sun Oh why she had to used the shield and break up with him in the end of season 1. Then the end of the story. We didn't need this 2nd season.
The only character who consistent in this drama is only Gul Mi. She's still didn't like Duk Gu till the end, even though she's know that he's the developer of JoAlarm hahaha And I still can't relate with the storyline that use gadget or technology on their love affair. It's just doesn't make sense. If the moral story of this drama is to show that people shouldn't too depend on their gadget to show their love, the writer really didn't success I guess...
I don't know what else to rant about this 2nd season. I just feel sooooo angry and disappointed with the storyline, and I watched it till the end just to try made better judgement. And for Song Kang too. Poor him... The story really just wasted the actors's acting quality. The cast is great but the story just meh...

The story goes bad
From the last parts of S1, they'd been so unfair with Sun Oh, got hung in the air without closure and being the unchosen one as his friend prioritizes love over friendship. The story becomes so unfair for Sun Oh, so I was hoping that he will get justice in S2 but instead they destroyed his character even more. In reality, how the story goes with him is so depressing from his family problems to the way that he has always been left by important people in his life and forcing himself to love someone that he doesn't. His one and only friend chose love over him even knowing that the girl cause so much pain to him by the way she left him hanging was just so unfair. It sounds so wrong. The storyline is just nuts and has no sense at all.I don't have any issues with the acting. I think everyone portryed their role well.

Total Disappointment Love Alarm 2
After so long waiting for this drama season 2 disappointment. What a depressing drama nothing like the 1st season. There was more crying then there was lines in this drama. Three characters that when to high school together and now did not know how to talk with each other. JoJo and Hye young care for each other but they could not talk with each other. Secrets were kept and Jojo did not communicate at all. She did a lot of crying but no talking. Sunoh had so much anger but took no time to find out what happen and acted like he would not think his parents had nothing to do with it. Other then the 6th episode that you get a little happiness and understanding of what is going on the second season fail terribly. The total 2nd season maid me mad, frustrated, annoyed, and depressed. Not what I wanted to watch. the music also made you even more depress. Bad script. Was this review helpful to you?

Satisfying, despite the haters
I know a lot of vocal people are mad about the ending, but honestly, they followed the original ending. I know that according to most drama formulas, she should have ended up with the emotionally stunted boy who's obsessed and infatuated, but I absolutely adore that it wasn't so.As an adult who's made a point of choosing healthy relationships, the point of the drama is that we can rise past our trama and traumatized relationships to choose something healthy with someone well balanced and kind.
It was heartwarming. the cinematography was gorgeous, the music nice, and the writing was meaningful. The characters had depth and flaws. It was really well done. I hope the haters who fetishize unhealthy relationship dynamics don't get to the writer. I wouldn't change a thing except to get actors that could do more than wooden face. Not bad if that's my only complaint.

Very disappointed
I was waiting for this season after watching it’s first season which I really loved. But what did I get after waiting for almost 2 years. Disappointment ! I felt the chemistry between jojo and sunho since the beginning of the first season and because of this I was eagerly waited for second season to be aired. But makers really make me hit on wall with a question mark. Guys, what did you do with this garbage storyline, made love alarm from the top of the mountain to the bottom of the ocean. Please don’t watch season 2 if you don’t want to disappoint yourself and don’t want to waste your time. Was this review helpful to you?
