A River Runs Through It Episode 2

Zhang Laoshi meets Xiaoju to discuss her grades and suggests moving back to her old school as she may find it difficult to adjust in her final year. She is more upset when she finds out that her shoes were ruined by her younger brother and is disappointed by how her parents provide the best for him while she makes sacrifices. Her father has a heart to heart talk with her after which she resolves to score well during her monthly exams. Bao Bao and Xiaoju battle to not get ranked last. Cheng Lang (whom she grows an admiration for) helps her while Shiyi helps Bao Bao. She toils for a month. During the exam, Bao Bao pleads Shiyi for the answers, but the paper lands next to Xiaoju and she is falsely accused of copying. Her mother, who believes, her gets her new uniform and shoes to appreciate her hard work. She visits the school to explain the situation, but discovers that Shiyi confessed his actions. Bao Bao is awarded zero marks for the exam. Xiaoju thanks Shiyi, but he casually ignores her. Back at their neighbourhood, his father who was informed about how he helped Bao Bao copy, chases him with a stick. (Source: kisskh.)
