Could have been fluffy but...
It would have been a nice fluffy drama, however the third party who just doesn’t get it dragged on for too long that it was sooo tiring and annoying to watch – I did a lot of fast forwarding during these parts. At least there were no sacrificing myself break up scenes between Gu Chen Yu and Xia Xiao Ning, they talked to each other and their relationship was strong, they were actually sweet to watch. There were no opposed to the relationship in-laws.
Other than that not much that stands out. I really just stayed for Eden Zhao

My first ever drama which I dropped
Negative : To be very frank I had a high expectation from this drama. The theme seemed romcom but ughh! something is totally off. I started watching it because of the male lead. I don't know somehow I got irritated by the female lead character and also now male lead character. [is it because I am watching too much bl drama?] You can skip 3 or 4 episodes you won't miss anything to be honest. Revealing the male lead's real image could be more dramatic but it was just like this "female lead saw the male lead, she got excited or surprised or awkward or whatever and then ran away and boom! they are together just after 5 minutes". main leads got together faster than the time I take while digesting my food. The 2nd female lead opposite the main male lead is too annoying. I can't decide who is more annoying main fl or 2nd fl.The main female lead has done a great job is this is the character to be portrayed but it was too childish character for me [PS- I like childish characters, but this one annoyed me somehow]. I watched it for Eden. I saw many people saying about him choosing repetitive character, to be honest, I don't care about that as long as the character entertains me. He is an artist he knows well what he has to do at this time. But this is the first time I got annoyed at him too.
[May be because the chemistry seemed extremely off between the main couple I don't wanna talk more about them]
Positive: 2nd leads are amazing. They have chemistry, they have seriousness as well. They are entertaining to see. Makers could have made the 2nd lead's chemistry plot the main. Like their equation development is more interesting and catchy according to me.
I don't feel like I have wasted my time because I skipped for the 2nd lead couple. They have worked fab.

One time watch
Simply boss nd assistance's love story . Nothing new . I will recommend it to those who love to watch love story . No charm in the drama ,Not felt connected with the character's story. At many point I felt that characters were overdoing or overacting. Second lead's story had no power ,zero chemistry between them .I like love story but I didn't like the drama. Concept was good ,even starting was also good but then felt totally boring.
First lead's acting was good but story had no attraction so their acting didn't grib that charm.

Sweet love story indeed
I've just finished watching this drama a second time and I'm sure my first opinion was the right one: I really enjoyed it. It is a beautiful story about love and dreams, which, if pursued with passion, can be both gained. The drama presents the story of the CEO of a dubbing studio. He builds his company from zero and he's passionate about his work. But while his real-life identity is Gu Huy Yu, he also has a virtual identity, as Prince Mo, an idol for many fans and an extremely talented voice. Xia Xiao Ning is a gentle girl, in love with the voice of Mo By Yu, who, in time, helps her through some difficult times. Pursuing in his steps and following her dream of both meeting Mo Bu Yu and joining the dubbing industry, she becomes the assistant of Gu Huy Yu, without knowing they are one and the same. At first, he thinks she is some kind of spy, trying to uncover his identity, and he is pretty cold and distant towards her. But in time, he falls in love with her, while discovering that she is kind, gentle, faithful, and optimistic. He struggles with his two identities, thinking that if she found out the truth, she would not love Gu Huy Yu as much as Mo Bu Yu, but after deciding to confess the truth and his love, they become a beautiful couple, envied by many, including work colleagues, that bully her and blackmail him. Still, trusting each other, supporting, protecting, and taking care of one another seems to be the recipe for survival of this couple, who shares such a beautiful love story. Wonderful story, characters, actors, and soundtrack. See for yourself! Was this review helpful to you?

Cute & Easy Watch
If you’re wanting a fairly easy watch that you don’t have to invest a lot of brain power into, I say give this drama a try.Despite the toxic love rivals/ coworkers & all the drama they insist on stirring up, I still enjoyed this show. It’s a sweet love story between a top idol in the wold of dubbing who keeps his identity a secret from the public + the fan who’s inspired to chase her dreams because of him. Through the randomness of life that often happens, the FL ends up working for the ML, thus starting their journey to their well-deserved HEA. 💕
I have no knowledge beyond what I’ve learned in dramas when it comes to the world of dubbing, so I can’t speak for the accuracy of that aspect of this drama. I do know that watching this furthered my fascination with the people who do the dubbing IRL. Honestly, before watching Asian dramas, I had no idea dubbing even existed for tv shows/movies. The thought just never entered my mind. I knew it was done for video games & the like, obviously. But it truly never occurred to me that it also plays a huge role in the things I watch.
Anyways, I found this to be a cute, fluffy story that I like to rewatch once in a while to see the Leads fall in love all over again. As mentioned above, the love rivals bring some annoying drama to the scenes, especially the female. She’s hecka toxic & delusional. I’ll never, ever, EVER understand people like her who can do such despicable things while calling themselves a friend & professing to love someone. That’s. Not. Love!
Okay, sorry, moving on….
The Leads are super cute together. They have immediate chemistry, but the ML’s hidden identity adds some issues between them once the FL discovers the truth (which happens early on, fyi.) I appreciated that they didn’t draw that trope out too long so that the couple didn’t have a huge break up later down the road. After they get past that bump, there’s one more that does cause them to split but it’s resolved in the very next episode & then they’re 100% solid from there on out (see spoilers below for more info on that). Thank goodness, that’s how I prefer my shows to go. 🤗
The secondary couple is a bit… odd. I didn’t dislike them, per se, but I also wasn’t real invested in their story. They weren’t a nuisance, but I also would’ve enjoyed the drama just as much without them.
The Leads have a lot of cute & memorable scenes that I enjoy rewatching from time to time. They’re just one of those easy couples that aren’t ashamed to show their affection so we don’t have to watch fish kisses or a level of awkward shyness better fit for a preteen to experience, not a fully gown adult. 🤪 From their roles as coworkers to their romantic relationship, this duo acts their age & responds accordingly in whatever the situation may be.

easy to watch with no misunderstandings
one thing that bothers me in dramas is when they drag out unnecessary drama from the side characters or the main leads but I like how in this one there isn't much drama or misunderstandings that last a lifetime. They clear up misunderstandings pretty quickly and even though the MLs got together pretty quick they never broke up due to conflict. They went through it together like a couple should. Overall I love the characters and the OST is really good. Definitely a good drama to watch when you want to laughWas this review helpful to you?

The sweetness of the main leads almost gave me diabetes
Decided to pick this up on a whim because I'm a big fan of both of the main leads (Amy from The Eternal Love, and Eden from his days in SpeXial and from The Day of Becoming You). While I felt like the first episode was a bit weak and made it hard for me to picture liking the two leads together, I genuinely fell in love with this drama and had such a good time watching it! It's so so cliche, but nonetheless such an adorable watch. Despite being full of tropes, I'm also thankful it didn't include a lot of the more unlikeable tropes in dramaland (e.g. parents that oppose of the lead's relationship, intense second lead syndrome).Gu Chen Yu and Xia Xiao Ning were so flippin' adorable. Despite some hiccups in their relationship, they were always open with each other, and genuinely felt like an old married couple. They got together quite early on, and didn't have any dumb breakup due to misunderstandings like other dramas. Their chemistry felt super natural, and Amy and Eden def delivered a satisfying amount of fan service haha. One of my new fav CPs in dramaland!
The story of the secondary couple was def more just for jokes, but they were also super fun to watch. Their characters were a little more animated, and they went through some wild shenanigans, but also quite cute too!!
In general, the story was not super plot driven or intense. At Pineapple FM, the main focus was on Lethe, which is the connecting storyline drawing all the characters together. However, I actually really liked that it was more simple, and focused more on character development rather than fitting in as many storylines as they could. Some episodes were definitely fillers, but I still enjoyed watching them just as much!
Hao Yan Ran was ofc, in typical drama manner, evil and pathetic. Even after being called out, she still displays victim mentality and had no redeeming qualities. My main complaint is that Chen Yu should have fired her earlier (along with her assistant Luo Li - like why was she so invested in other people's personal business???). I also expected Chen Yu to call out the people gossiping about Xia Xiao Ning, but otherwise, he was a great character!
Overall, I would def recommend this if you're looking for a light watch that will make you giggle like a 5 yr old, and cheer you up on a bad day! Will definitely be checking out more works from the main leads!

Craving something sweet?
A cute, lighthearted and enjoyable watch with a fun storyline. I personally really liked how the drama explored what many have wondered at least one point or another about what it would be like if your celebrity crush turned out to also have a crush on you and became your boyfriend. The ML and FL were cute together, loved the height difference. The FL was in general very sweet - I liked how she would use stuffed animals to talk about her feelings (I do the same). There was no major breakup, we did have one of those scenes where you push away in order to protect but it thankfully didn't last long and their making up after fighting scene is one of my favorites.
A good watch to satisfy your craving for something sweet and simple. I've watched it a few times and still find it enjoyable.

Almost all satisfied
This is my first ever review. I write this just because this is the drama where I feel completely satisfied.I used to watch only happy drama.. but then too I mostly feel something is missing . Even though the side character stories will be explained good , I feel the interaction between side characters and main leads won't be much( just my view)
But here I am completely satisfied, with everyone. Ofcourse if have to really analyse there is one thing but I did not care as its known from Start and I knew that is not where the story goes ( related to Ml's brother)
It's on the whole is a feel good drama. I had skipped it as the story plot was clinch, but it's good I gave a try. All won't feel the same, because for me more than story as rom-com, the friendship between the four leads was important and that's why I like it tooo.

A new dubbing film company founded by 3 university graduates faces challenges from a fresh newcomer.
Plot/storyGu Chenyu, Xie Fei and Yan Ran are university graduates who founded a voice dubbing company to serve the drama film industry. Gu concentrated on content, Xie Fei on marketing and Yan Ran on Human Resources. Yan Ran hired Xiao Ning, a fresh new comer, who has ambitions to become voice actress, but has no education and experience. She was hired initially as an assistant to Gu. As time goes by, Xiaoning faced the many daily issues on her work, including friendship, training, bullying and love. Her presence stirred the hearts of both Gu and Xie Fei, while created issues with Yan Ran as she was hiring new candidates for voice actors for the Lethe chinese mythology novel, starring Prince Mo Bu yu and Lin Mohan mythical characters.
The first few episodes appears to be relatively "flat" and " dry" ; however, the story is getting more interesting in the subsequent episodes. There were a little bit rivalries between Gu and Xie Fei. The last two episodes were just covering the final moments of the drama.
Casts and Characters
Casts
The two main men characters were played by Zhao Zhi Wei (as Gu Chenyu) and Li Xiang Zhe (as Xie Fei). They were both young, handsome, tall, and built like swimmers. The third character was Yan Ran, played by Ding Xiao Ying, a very pretty actress, graceful, and has a natural shapes and beauty. The newcomer was played by Amy Sun (as Xia Xiao Ning). She is petite, has short hair, a little childish but funny and charming. She would be more suitable wearing casual dresses, but a little awkward in elaborate or class gowns and dresses.
Characters
Gu's character is quiet, thoughtful, determined and cool; while Xie Fei's character is the opposite - outgoing, chauvinistic, and a womanizer. Yan Ran's character is reserved, shown some strengths and focus on her work. When Xiao Ning fell in love with Gu, Yan Ran did not show too excessively jealous, as it could be that she does not really in love with Gu, but more concern and dedicated to the company that they built together over the years.
The amount of make-ups applied to the characters of the drama appears to be limited, reflecting typical activities in the office working environment. However, an angry Yan Ran can be seen in one of the episodes where she wore a red lipstick, and a pretty white dress. She looks so beautiful.
The male characters (Gu and Xie Fei) both wore nice suits and clothes - looking very sharp; while Xiao Ning and her room mate - Yao Yao typically wore casual, but trendy dresses.
Music
Except for the theme song, there are not much dramatic music attached to this drama. Occasionally, we can hear some of the catchy love and memorable tunes, but no more than that.
Rewatch Value
Nothing special on the episodes to rewatch, except to rewatch to get more understanding of the story.
Scenery/ Filmography
There are no out of the ordinary scenes in this drama. There are some nice shots at the amusement parks, some photo shots taken for the company's promotions, as well as some wedding shots. The mansion where the Family Gu lives was quite huge, and has nice garden with gazebos. Office and studio settings are typically modern looking.
The film shot of Xiao Ning and Gu in the mythical wedding ceremony were an exceptional. This is the only time that Xiao Ning wore very strong make- up with red lipstick.
Personal Comments
- In one episodes, Xie Fei's attempts to attract Yao Yao were too repetitious and awkward.
- it is good to know that the motherly affections of Xiao's and Gu's moms were not too excessive or becoming too pushy.
- I do not like Luoli's character very much, as she appears to be too over-bearing.
- I think Actress Ding Xiao Ying (as Yan Ran) is beautiful and graceful. She appears plain, with no make-ups, but was dramatic when she was in her parents' cemetery or when she has the red lipstick and white dress. I like her appearance in the green polka dot dress with her light green shoes. She is always cute and pretty in all dresses she wears.
- I like the blue dress that Xiao Ning wore, but does not seem to fit in her tiny figure, as she appears too short. She is good with casual, fashionable and trendy clothes.

Great rom-com to pass time
This drama has a very typical office romance story but it explores a very different field of work than normal c-dramas. The infamous dubbing industry was portrayed very well. Very cute acting from all the actors and the cast have done a great job in this drama. The story flows very well and although it felt like the story could have ended a long time ago it still continued into somethng new and exciting. I really loved how all the scenes were pieced together. The music is also pretty good. The OST is very sweet and quite lovely. I wouldn't though rewatch this drama but it would be a great one-time thing. A very sweet love story indeed and a relatively short drama too. Overall, Cute love story that's worth watching once. 🎙️👩🏻🗣️💗💓🎙️🧑🏻🗣️Was this review helpful to you?
