Bird in the attic
This drama appeared on many lists so I decided to give it a go.I did not get emotionally invested in the characters but I finished the drama with a lot of ffwd. I can’t leave anything halfway. I found the female lead annoying and childlike. This did improve in later episodes but it got spoiled again towards the finale, with the baby talk and opening her mouth like a baby bird waiting to be fed. I still don’t know why perfectly capable adults need to be spoonfed lol.
The number of times the poor skilled surgeon/physician had to bandage or disinfect a poor foot or toe or other body part. But I understand it’s him showing his love.
Maybe I missed it between the trope and moments of cheesiness and almost posing, but not quite sure when all the feels grew between ML and FL. Felt somewhat disjointed to me. All seemed contrived. Issues also just ambushed without much discussion, clarification.
Second couple were interesting to watch as their relationship developed.
The little bird in the attic was quite sweet, although I didn’t know why it was relegated to the attic which wasn’t easily accessible. Perhaps the natural light. But yes that little bird had me pondering a lot more than the characters did.
Loved the cat. Hope the little bird went on to enjoy freedom. Flew out to sea, really thought it would head towards the trees.

really like the character of dr. zhou, he really likes and loves beibei and looks responsible but sometimes looks like a cute baby when with beibei and beibei really likes to tease Dr. zhou??
beibei's parents are very funny
Really like their relationship. they are like a real couple, both in drama and behind the scenes. I hope they can become a real couple.

The drama was overall super cute and romantic. I really love the female main character. She is super likable. And, the male lead is definitely very handsome, and loves the female lead very much. He is one of those swoon worthy boyfriends, who can be awkward at times, but is also firmly committed and trusting of the female lead. It is their story line that made me keep coming back to the drama. While there is no necessarily super big or dramatic plot line, overall, it is a great drama to just watch because of how cute and bubbly it is.The side stories had a lot of potential. The female lead's friend and the male lead's friends fall in love with each other. In the beginning, it was cute how the guy was vying for the girl's attention. And they eventually got together, but, it was unclear to me why they stayed together because they didn't really express their love towards each other.... As for the male lead's sister, she falls in love with an actor. But, it was also very abrupt and forced that they ended up together, because the male didn't really show interest in the girl until she helped pay for his termination fee. Overall, the side characters definitely are likable, just that their love stories fall super weak compared to the male couple.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this drama for something light and fluffy, and if you want an example of a swoon-worthy boyfriend :)

Superficial acting, shallow OTP relationship
This is yet another fluffy romcom cdrama without many complications. The triangle is easily resolved, there are no annoying in laws, there are no breakups, other than the 2 one episode misunderstandings there was no drama in it. Okay sure the rival actress character tried to stir up some shit, but that did not amount to anything, nor did it bother me too much, beyond highlighting the FL's lack of intellectuality. It's somewhat annoying how these villainous bitchy characters always get forgiven, or get redemption arks.I did not mind the sister character, she was too cute for me to take her antics seriously.
The leads may have had some chemistry, but the portrayed relationship was incredibly shallow. The drama is like 90% about the OTP's relationship and that is all about beauty and attraction. Basically there is no plot, I don't get the impression that two people are trying to get to know each other and grow together. It's not that I was bored due to the lack of makjang, triangles and whatnot, but this drama really is pure fluff and nothing else. You know how in Korean variety shows there are some games where first the girl does Aegyo for a while & then the guy reciprocates, well this entire drama is almost like that. I could have turned off the English subtitles and I wouldn't have lost very much.
The secondary couples have better stories, but they had too little screentime to really "save" the drama from mediocrity.
At least it's a normal length drama, it does not get too draggy.
I still enjoyed the drama a little, pretty people doing cute fluffy things can be entertaining enough without anything else, but there are much better fluffy dramas than this, 6.5/10. Intense Love is the opposite of memorable..

Not so intense love.
First things first, the title. I wouldn't name this drama "'Intense' Love" because I didn't see or feel any intense love at all. Shi Yun was the typical dramaland's "Dr. Zhao", calm, mild, reticent, unobtrusive and sensible. His love was steady, patient, prudent, nothing too showy. Jin Bei, on the other hand, is very un-typical of an actress. I was torn whether she was just frustratingly naive or she was plain stupid sometimes. It is so improbable for an actress to be that trusting or that optimistic. Her love, however is nothing out of the ordinary, either. It even pissed me off that at Episode 22, the writers thought of this misunderstanding between Jin Bei and Shi Yun that I think the story could culd have done without. It's so unnecessary. They have reached 22 episodes fighting all odds together that should have made their relationship more stronger but then comes this incident that could have been solved if only Jin Bei had a little faith in Dr. Zhou, or at least given him a chance to talk, literaally. Instead they made her act childish and bratty. It annoyed me so much that I've thought of dropping the last two episodes. If they just stretched the Zitong problem instead, I would have been more accepting of it. Or they could just have concentrated more on the YingYing-Jia Wei relationship (the second lead couple I've skipped all their scenes together because they just did not interest me at all) and kept the main leads just lovey dovey til the end. This just put a damper on a rather mild but entertaining enough drama. One thing good I could say about the drama is, the problems the couple encounters do not get overly stretched, like, they do not drag it for episodes on end. Yes, an antagonist was always there in the form of Zitong, but every trouble she creates gets solved soon enough. So, but, yeah, nothing intense in all the story IMHO.Was this review helpful to you?
Fun, lighthearted, and wholesome.
This is a very sweet rom-com. No deep drama and no super annoying misunderstandings with main leads. The story itself is cute and the romance is sweet. I personally love the two main leads!! Their chemistry is perfect. I also really enjoy the gradual relationship build-up you see with each episode. At the same time, the main leads don't take forever to start dating. The only con is I did not care for the side couples at all. Only watched for the main couple! Overall, this was a very fun, lighthearted show without the extra drama. Hope to see male lead and female lead act together in future projects! Was this review helpful to you?
Cute Fluff Galore!!! And I Loved Every Second Of It!!!!
If you are looking for a cute & lighthearted romance with humor and chemistry, PLEASE CHECK THIS OUT!! It was one of the most enjoyable and easy to watch romance series I have watched to date. The acting and chemistry between the couples are just soo adorable and its very rare for me to love EVERY SINGLE COUPLE in a show because I usually have my favorites. But this one, I truly loved all of them and their stories. I loved how all the relationships developed overtime naturally where you could physically see and understand when and how the feelings began. They all displayed great qualities in a relationship that I think we don't see portrayed enough in a lot of dramas. We often see so much toxicity or unrealistic developments of relationships in dramas that when seeing how ALL 3 of these couples exhibited "healthy" relationships, it's such a breath of fresh air. The ability to understand, communicate, develop trust, and showing empathy towards your partner just to name a few that I saw!!Im so glad I stumbled upon this gem because sometimes...we just need some fluffy & non-aggravating dramas to watch!! And this my friend....is the one!! Very little drama, and when there were problems, it got resolved quickly within the same episode or next episode. It was enough to keep the story entertaining & realistic, since lets be real, life isnt always rainbows and butterflies LOL so they have to throw in someeee drama. But its not dragged out to the point where it becomes aggravating. Even when some of the characters were slightly annoying in the beginning they became likable if not lovable by the end of the series! All of them redeemed themselves where you really couldnt hate any of them because of their character development. ALSO LOVE THIS OST!! haha the songs are all beautiful >< Im obsessed!
I would highly recommend this to anyone who just needs a feel good show that you can watch mindlessly. If you cant decide what to watch or if you are bored and need something to pass the time. Keep this drama in mind^^

Feel Good, Non Melodramatic and Super Fluffy
This is my absolute favourite drama of all time. It is number one on my list. It has everything I wanted including all my preferred tropes. Mild Spoiler Alert: There are no evil parents/grandparents, no massive misunderstandings the couple actually learn from their mistakes and somehow in all of that the second and third couple are fantastic along with a very decent and natural amount of kissing scenes. Yes it has some ridiculous moments but this is a C- Drama this is the normal I feel and these made it have the sweet funny element. If you want a feel good cute romantic drama to watch that is just lovely and doesn't try to be anything it's not and doesn't suddenly cram loads of stuff into the last episode for no reason then this is the drama for you. If you want deep plot and major drama or major character arc then this isn't the right drama for you.Was this review helpful to you?
It got some ups and downs..
Actually I want to talk about these kind of Dramas... hmm what should i say it goes up comes down goes up comes down...actually i am ok with a content even if its too cheesy but the acting should convince u .. Here in this drama there are some good scenes which makes us laugh, there are some scenes to portray good chemistry. But..... sometimes I got irritated donn'o why but am not convinced with the cheesy acting of FL or should i say these cheesy things would have looked okay if it was a high school drama. But that's not the case here in this drama she is an actress that too of top tier.. I failed to connect when she keeps on doing some childish things which doesn't suit her.It keeps u engaged for some time then comes a overdose of cheese which doesn't suit the backdrop of the cast. I mean in my case I wont feel it if they deviate too much from the reality with lack of acting. the same happened hear' would have been better if they reduced it, overall it was decent as it has some plus points like Healthy ML relationship , No disturbance , quite understanding ML , balanced by some negatives.. just not my cup of tea some people will like it some people won't.

Far more enjoyable than I thought
First off, this drama really doesn't have much of a story, which I found is common in a lot of these Chinese rom-com drama. It's driven entirely by its character and the couple's romance. In fact, as I was typing this review, I am struggling to even remember what the story is about. I only remember that they're one of the best couples I've seen recently. LOL You really only want it to see cute fluffy moment between the main couple and how they act in weird uncomfortable situation smiling and laughing at what goes on screen. The drama is mainly about two people in an arranged marriage, a hot doctor and hot actress. Drama start with them both bailing their engagement dinner with family. FL got into an accident and ended up in the ML's hospital. Upon treating her, he found out she's his fiancee. FL's dazely kiss the ML but eventually also find out he her fiance. When she find out he bailed on their engagement, she felt jilted. She try to get "revenge" by seducing him...LOL. And their relationship start from there. As he gets to know her, he actually find out she's a very good and kind woman. He slowly fell for her but he naturally has a rather cold and distant personality so a lot of awkward moment between the couple.
Pros
- Great chemistry between the ML and FL
- Lots of cute funny moment
Cons
- Not much of a story
- No real conflict
This drama is surprising for how much I enjoy it despite having so little story. The real is that because of the lack of story, you'll think it'll be boring but it's actually not.

Silly, cute & lighthearted rom-com
The drama tells the love story of a famous actress and a doctor who, despite initially refusing their arranged marriage, fall in love. The story is sweet, with minimal conflict, and the conflicts that arise are quickly resolved. There are no stupid love triangles, no exes coming back, no second male or female lead trying to break up the main couple. Aside from the romance that’s the main focus of the drama, we also get a lot of scenes about the entertainment industry. I don’t know how realistic it was but I could imagine the realness behind the scenes of filmmaking and variety shows and it was super fun to watch.COUPLES:
- The main couple is sweet, kind of a slow burn romance. The female lead is doing lots of seduction and the male lead pretends he is not affected but he totally is. They are opposites in many ways but somehow work well together as they compliment each other's personalities. Her overly silliness at times balances out his overly reserved nature.
- The second couple is fun to watch, especially if you love the bickering type, love-you-but-you-annoy-me vibes.
- The third couple is a very unexpected and sweet story about a fan girl who's favourite artist falls for her.
CHARACTERS:
- Female lead at first glance can seem silly and childish when trying to seduce the male lead which could annoy some people but I personally found it really funny. Her actions are done more as a comedy relief than for plot purposes and should not be taken too seriously. In fact when dealing with her career and other characters, she is very mature and down to earth. Her best quality is definitely always uplifting women around her and her kindness to those that did bad things to her. Even though she is an actress in the drama, they really portray her as a girl simply living her life and that felt very real to me.
- Male lead at first glance seems cold and reserved but is in fact soft and caring. I started the drama mainly for the actor and I felt like he did great with what he was given (which wasn’t much). His character doesn’t stand out much and I blame the script. The actor’s micro expressions are always on point. In general his character is a sweet, smart, caring, protective, patient, gentlemen-like husband that all women would love. His only big flaw really is that he is reserved and has a hard time communicating his feelings or knowing what to do in a relationship but it's all redeemable.
- Third female lead is the male lead’s younger sister. I’m specifically writing this because she is one of those rare characters that annoyed me like hell at first but I ended up really liking her by the end. She is a graduate student but at first acted like a 12 year old spoiled brat. She was clearly placed to create unnecessary conflict between the main leads. Her character got super fun to watch when she got a love interest and her focus shifted on her love story.
OVERALL:
I absolutely loved this silly, fun rom-com drama and I highly recommend it for those that want something light-hearted and silly to watch to relax and smile after a long day of work.
