Su Jin Bei and Zhou Shi Yun were adorable and quite mature together because they never dragged out their misunderstandings. I also love that there wasn’t much emphasis on love triangles. Both leads were sure of what they wanted and stayed focused until the end. While watching, I couldn’t get over how beautiful Jin Bei and Shi Yun were together. Honestly, both actors are remarkably good looking. The only part of their story that threw me off was Jin Bei’s supposed pregnancy in the last episode. I don’t remember when they showed or implied that this couple had sex, so the pregnancy troupe was totally out of place for me. Was I the only one confused, or did I miss something? Let me know in the comment section.

The side couples were also great together. Although I didn’t care much for Zhou Su Ying and Xu Jia Wei’s relationship because of how both characters started out.

Intense chemistry(Must Watch)

The first few episodes were a little bit fast paced but later on it becomes better with how the both main lead have their progress in their relationship. It's storyline is very romantic and light-hearted. There isn't much of a 'drama' moments but rather cheesy moments will come through.

Ding and Zhang Yuxi's acting skills in this drama is very natural, both of them have great visuals. Their skin ship will give butterflies into your stomach.

PS, Behind the scenes are a must watch as well as their live interviews.

The reason I started this drama is because I wanted to acquaint myself with Ding Yu Xi before I start watching the popular drama, Romance of Tiger and Rose.

I guess this drama is okay. Not much from the plot but the premise is that the male lead who is a doctor and the female lead who is a popular actress apparently are engaged due to their families. They try to walk out of the engagement and meet each other unexpectedly when the female lead was hospitalized with her as her doctor. She's attracted and later realizes he is her fiance. It had moments, but the plot didn't really stick to me.

And thi Xi yi couple looked good together. We want them together again in a romanic drama.

Well, this drama is a very light drama without too complicated plot and no "real" villain. There's a lot of cringey part where you want to pause it and cover your eyes, lol But don't get me wrong it's cute and funny at the same time. I think Ryan Ding is really good when it comes to developing chemistry with his screen partner. The FL is sweet and kind hearted but not a push over, while ML, is not the typical guy who bullies the girl. Also, both of them came from a rich family so it's not your typical rich guy-poor girl type of drama! Have fun watching!!!

Story- as I said, finally it's not the usual rich guy-poor girl story. Although, there's a lot of cliche from this drama, you can ignore them because it is written in a very interesting way. FL and ML, both are kind hearted and they were able to clear all the misunderstanding really fast, so it saves you from tons of heartache where most drama would love to dragged misunderstanding almost until the last episodes.

Acting/casts- Haven't watched any drama of any actors in this drama, but after watching afew eps, I checked Ryan's page and saw The Romance of Tiger and Rose, so I started watching it as well (another drama that I would recommend people to watch).

Music- meh, they can do better.

Rewatch value- yup will definitely rewatch this a from time to time while waiting for another good drama.

No chemistry, No comedy, No conflict

I wanted to watch this drama after having seen clips and hearing about the kisses but 11 episodes in and I think watching paint dry would be more fun. This is labeled as "Friendship, Comedy, Romance, Life" but I didn't find any comedy here. What was supposed to be funny?

Where is the conflict? Please tell me the ML's annoying little sister isn't the only conflict here. Conflict is important to push the story along and keep the viewer engaged but almost half way through and there's still no core conflict. I wanted to get hooked in but almost halfway through and that hasn't happened.

Although both leads are very good looking I felt no chemistry between them. I've seen both actors in other dramas that I did like and did see chemistry. Unfortunately, I did not see any sparks between these two here. :/

Cute/Okay

Something I noticed is when the female lead didn't "trust" the main lead everyone was coming for her, which I understand (kinda) since he has been trusting her the "whole" time, But yet he met up with the director with the intentions of helping Beibei (which meant to beibei he didn't believe in her acting abilities) but in the end decided not to, the misunderstanding was caused because he decided to meet up with the director. He should of explained himself but no instead he did nothing and (I didn't finish watching it) But ignoring that, the music was a 10/10 it's the 2nd drama out of 100's (maybe just a 100+) where i actually watch the intro! I be jammin and dancing to this song (which is in fact one of two of the only type of music I listen to) so I think the Music deserves a 10/10.

I’m partial to historical C dramas mainly because the modern ones are ridiculously tropey. The male leads are either CEOs, doctors, or e-sports players while the female leads are dimwitted, cutsey waifs who are struggling to survive. The plots aren’t that deep either. Mostly, the dramas rely on idol actors to ganer ratings. The Xu Kais, Wang Yibo, and their peers populate this genre which of course is the reason most are popular.

Intense Love is fluffy. The plot is asinine and watching the acting will make you wonder who greenlit this mess.

I stopped at episode 21 (of 24) cos my brain was melting. Watch if none of the above bother you.

Let me start by saying that this series is an absolute delight. I found it very refreshing to see a romantic drama or comedy with rich people that didn’t evolve that didn’t involve wicked in controlling parents. This one was really sweet. Of course we’ve all seen those matchmaking series where the parents have an arranged marriage for their children. This one takes on a different vibe. You didn’t have to put up with a lot of bickering and nonsense in the series. What we got was a very popular actress that appear to be raised really well and a great Doctor Who was also raise really well. Both seem to come from great family backgrounds in which they were raised by good people who have a kind hearts and great intentions. So yaaah for the nonexistent evil parents.

The series was definitely sweet and I felt that way the writers did an amazing job showing the character development in terms of how they grew closer overtime and how they both someway grew as people in general. I loved how each character was independent but also didn’t shy away from the commitment that your parents had me for them. You will get a mixture of comedy, romance, in a little bit of action. Our leaders do have great chemistry when they finally get a little bit closer. There are no overly annoying characters in a series although there is one that is a little mischievous.

What I liked most about this series with that it was different from the usual arrange marriage series in the sense that it wasn’t so dramatic and didn’t involve tons of mystery and bickering. The main focus was the relationship and for the most part the directors continue to ensure that our main leads were the main focus. There were some supporting cast members day I got good screen time and I honestly enjoy those as well.

The one thing that I did not like about this series is the title. The series is titled “intense love” which led me to believe that I was going to watch a series that had this ultimate love, the type that you could just feel their love for each other and you are all in. Although they had great chemistry and it was sweet with a good ending I did not feel that the title matched the series. I will repeat that it was really good but there was no intense love. it was more like sweet love. To me intense is endearing, overcoming and all of that in between.

If you’re looking for a sweet romantic comedy to watch you will really enjoy this one.

Far more enjoyable than I thought

First off, this drama really doesn't have much of a story, which I found is common in a lot of these Chinese rom-com drama. It's driven entirely by its character and the couple's romance. In fact, as I was typing this review, I am struggling to even remember what the story is about. I only remember that they're one of the best couples I've seen recently. LOL You really only want it to see cute fluffy moment between the main couple and how they act in weird uncomfortable situation smiling and laughing at what goes on screen.

The drama is mainly about two people in an arranged marriage, a hot doctor and hot actress. Drama start with them both bailing their engagement dinner with family. FL got into an accident and ended up in the ML's hospital. Upon treating her, he found out she's his fiancee. FL's dazely kiss the ML but eventually also find out he her fiance. When she find out he bailed on their engagement, she felt jilted. She try to get "revenge" by seducing him...LOL. And their relationship start from there. As he gets to know her, he actually find out she's a very good and kind woman. He slowly fell for her but he naturally has a rather cold and distant personality so a lot of awkward moment between the couple.

Pros
- Great chemistry between the ML and FL
- Lots of cute funny moment

Cons
- Not much of a story
- No real conflict

This drama is surprising for how much I enjoy it despite having so little story. The real is that because of the lack of story, you'll think it'll be boring but it's actually not.

Intense Love isn't that intense

Intense Love is a strangely entertaining drama. I have mixed feelings about it.

Okay so although some parts, especially in the first couple episodes, were a little boring to me, the good parts make up for it.

Unpopular opinion incoming...but... I don't really think the chemistry between the main couple in this drama is as strong as most people say it is. The kiss scenes were hot I'll give you that. But in their other romance scenes, when they're together, I just can't sense that they truly understand each other or have that emotional bond. Having their engagement arranged already, it's funny how their love for each other seemed to have emerged out of nowhere. Though a doctor-actress pair is pretty unconventional, which makes for an interesting watch.

Whenever Jinbei tries to act cute towards Dr. Zhou, I cringe a little on the inside. I get it's her way of displaying affection, but she sometimes sounds like a spoiled, whiny five-year old who is trying to manipulate others into doing things she wants them to do. She does it to her manager too and her manager can do nothing but give in to her requests even when she's fed up already. Idk maybe I'm just not used to that behavior.

I don't hate Jinbei's other qualities though. In fact, I love that she's truly kind-hearted, moral, and hard-working. It's just her dramatic fake acting with her bf that I don't like and kind of ruined their relationship for me.

Also I know Dr. Zhou is a doctor and doctor's are usually serious, cold and rational but I thought Ryan's acting could be a little less stiff. He warms up to her later on which is nice, but it wasn't like a believable, slow development in personality.

Enough about the things I don't like. There are many positive things I'd like to mention as well.
1. Dr. Xiao!! He was my favorite character in this drama. His crazy hilarious antics made this drama worth watching. If he weren't in this drama, it would just be all drama, romance and kissing devoid of funny moments. The addition of his character was a breath of fresh air.
2. The music!! I don't know why people have been giving low ratings for the music because I think the tracks they chose to go with the scenes fit the mood well, not to mention the intro and ending song are both sweet and calming.
3. Xu Jia wei - Ying ying relationship!! A bit unrealistic but cute af! I SHIP. Ying Ying is truly living every fangirl's dreams! Lucky girl. But also, I'm relieved Jiawei finally found a girl who actually gets him you know.

Overall, this was a really light and easy-to-watch drama. :) It's also my first time reviewing a Chinese drama, so do keep in mind these opinions are from someone who's a C-drama newbie. I've only had experience with K-dramas so perhaps I'm reviewing this through a K-drama lens. But I definitely plan on watching more C-dramas in the future so if anyone has recommendations, please do share.

This was just too cute for words. I probably should not give it such a high rating but considering I am a romantic at heart it cannot be helped. It is cheesy, sappy, over blown romance. Be forewarned it obviously has had a lot of episodes cut out of it. Not sure why you can clearly see there are missing parts. But if you have seen a lot a Asian dramas you can fill in the blanks. There is not a lot of character development it seems they spent that part on developing the romance between characters. Which I did not mind it makes the re-watch factor more possible.

The FL and ML ooze chemistry with a refreshing take on who is in control of the romance. The ML is a wealthy and shy introvert very much caught up in his work dedicated to family. Where as the FL also comes from a affluent family is totally outgoing not afraid of a challenge. Both of their characters are totally likable and adorable the chemistry is great balancing "Yin and Yang" if you will.

The story line is simple and sweet. If you want a emotional waive of feelings this is not for you. I just found myself smiling most of the time at how cute their romance was so I took the drama for what is was. I would say that originally this may have been over 48 episodes because the editing is cut a little too deep. You will never really know who Mrs. Fang was just that everyone loved her. So don't try to take this seriously it is what it is.

One last point OST, it was hard to get with it because there were no subtitles but it was pretty on point with key moments.
