Congratulations for a Beautiful story
Good job, production team and actors. It is a recognition of beautiful love, simple and so strong. I have such a strong love from high school till now when I am 40, with my husband and I really appreciated this movie which looks such alike. And this movie is for all, as everybody deserves love. Wish all to Love and be loved. Watch the movie even to remember, to dream for or encourage yourself.We need movies with stories like this because everything now is so complicated and we are living in such a hurry that we forget how to love properly. For youngers, please take this story as a refference, the movie is also about trust - well pointed. When there is love, please always have trust in yourself, your partnee and your love. This is my key in my life and this is why, aftet 23 years, we have a fairytale, ams a perfect love which last and will be forever.

Fun and Simple
This drama is perfect if you want something simple to watch!! If you like dramas with a fully thought out complicated plot this is not for you!!As a drama consumer between watching dramas that are praised for their head scratching plot occasionally watching something simple helps and this is perfect for that!
The story is simple a gamer and an idol fall in love. While there are a lot of destiny moments that obviously don't make sense in real life it is still squeal worthy and i couldn't stop smiling.
The biggest 2 draw backs for me is the casting of the 2nd male lead. Like he is 50 years old while the main actress is only in her 20s so it definitely made me uncomfortable at times and that weird little redemption that they gave him almost made me throw up.
The music is definently great, but in dramas that star an idol singer that is kinda expected. I will definitely rewatch certain episodes, but most likely never from start to end again!
I have this listed at a 10 for me personally, but i would only recommend this to people that like cheesy dramas.

A Gem of a drama
Amazingly Heartwarming drama loaded with fluffiness, absolutely loved it.There is no stupid break up phase just one misunderstanding which is cleared fast. It has a happy ending.

The truth is, this is actually a poor show
For some reason they made this 31 episodes at just over 40 minutes each and because of all the procrastinating and messing about they could’ve easily made it a 24 episode half an hour show each and it would’ve lost absolutely nothing.I’m a bit annoyed at this show. For some reason the writers and director must think it’s really cute, charming and endearing to have the females all behave so insufferably that basically tortures all the men in this show.
It really isn’t entertaining watching these cold, aloof women push there men away constantly and watching the men begging at their feet for a crumb of affection.
As a sidenote, the 2ML was way too old and his head was too big.

It could have been so good
I am not one to finish dramas I'm not enjoying. I only persevered through this one because I'm a bit of a Lin Yi simp and through the course of this drama I fell for Xu Lu. They are the only reason I made it to the end.I think teenage me would have adored this drama. That is the only reason I can denote for why this drama has such a high score. Without the rose colored glasses of teenagehood, this drama is lackluster. Unfortunately, it's been a long time since I was a teenager and I only pulled through by fast forwarding through nearly all scenes about the side characters. All I cared about was the main couple and at some points I was skipping some of their more predictable scenes too. I digress.
The writing of this drama is lackluster. The characters are so flat. Even the main two. I think the actors should be commended for portraying as much emotion as they did with the script they had. Especially Xu Lu. Having to deal with the immature dialogue and actions they've given her after such a stand out first episode is hard. She was such a bad B for that one (1) episode before they infantilized her.
The side characters were not only flat, but down right annoying. Most of their scenes had me rolling my eyes. Character motivations made no sense. Some things were being held on to for so long and their lasting impact duration was too long considering the transgression. I skipped in 10 second chunks so I could get the gist of the plot for the side characters and even just the little bits of it I was seeing made me so annoyed.
I did have a truly silly good time in the first 10 episodes or so. They weren't well written but they were fun! I can take fun even if it's not the best writing. I cannot abide the drama getting boring and that's what this one did. It got so boring! They should have cut it 20 episodes. It would have helped it so much. Some plot points where so clearly thrown in to pad time and then completely forgotten about within 2 episodes!!!
I'm getting wordy and I could probably spend another 5 paragraphs waxing poetic on what I didn't like so I'll wrap it up here. Especially since I don't want to get spoiler-y. If you're under the age of 20, you'll probably like this. Give it a try. If you're older, (or cough ancient by drama watcher standards like me), go in expecting it to be rather immature considering the ages and don't take it too seriously, you might have a good time. It was a good drama to have in while I did other things since I didn't want to be paying super close attention.

Interesting Story
Supported by the expertise of actors and actresses to give a deep impression on this film. The storyline is not heavy and very interesting to make the audience feel at home watching it. The music that is displayed is good music and will make you remember. Plus a love story that is so adorable and adorable makes the audience even more entertained. This film is highly recommended to watch again because this story is very interesting and not boring, some viewers hope it can be made for season 2. Cutie and bubbly kind of story.
Hi I'm here again. So to make the story short this one is kind of rom-com with a lot of sugar on it. If you wanted to have a very light and cute story this one is for you. The characters were great in doing their job I mean character. What I really like is that they make the drama simple yet entertaining and easy to digest . The music of this show was amazing. Although it is a mini series it gives us a very nice feeling and not confusing plot. The downside of it was that the ending was kind of rush (in my opinion). Maybe if they include a wedding scene it might become better.Anyway this are just my thoughts and opinion still highly recommend this for you to watch if you want to take a breather to those heavy dramas.

The writers did their job WELL!
This drama was extremely well written and produced. The pacing of the episodes was near perfect, and the quality was top notch. Definitely going in the books as an excellent drama for 2021.I must say, LIN YI HAS IMPROVED SO MUCH. The romance scenes in this drama are light years ahead of PYHOMS. I was shocked at the upgrade! Lala Xu did a great job as well, and I absolutely loved their chemistry.
The plot was also excellent - as I said before, the pacing of the episodes was near perfect. There weren't any plot-breaking tropes thrown in, which made the drama so much more enjoyable. I loved the in game scenes and how much screen time the main couple was given. The comedic moments in the show helped with the flow as well.
There are quite a bit of unrealistic situations in this show based on the characters professions, (famous singer that can roam around freely anywhere???) but it's tolerable.
The one major con to the show was the SML. I laughed every time he appeared on screen to help me deal with how frustrating his character was. How is someone who's near 50 going to have a chance with our FL? Oh wait, he didn't. But yet he tried so hard to interfere with her business. Nobody asked you to! I am glad that his screen time was somewhat limited as the episodes went on, or I might've given this show a lower score.
That comment aside, I really enjoyed this one, and I think you will too!

Wonderful Cinematography
Great cast with most actors fitting well with their character. Personally I found the casting choice of the SML a bit weird, as he is 50 and well old enough to be the FL's father. The cinematography is wonderful and the gaming graphics are detailed and well shown. In regards to the plot, I found the gaming aspect rather unrelated to the overall story. There were also definitely unnecessary parts of the plot that made the overall drama longer than it should be. I believe that the drama having at the most 24 episodes will be good enough, or perhaps even less.Overall, I felt that this drama was alright, but not good enough to the extent that I would watch it again.

Romantic Love Story of the Year
After watching this rom-com drama of Xulu and Lin Yi...I cannot get over it rewatching random episodes with sweet moments together. They had good chemistry in every scene except for Ding Jia Yun for me he's too old to be a third party who fell in love with Liang Cheng instead he's fit in a role of an uncle or a producer something though. Age gap doesn't matter as long as sincerity and true love wait.I liked the fashion style of clothes that they wear and the earth color combinations Lin Yi looks cuter and handsome. He stands 6'1 tall seems perfect in all his outfit and style. Aside from this, I also watched their interviews and video clips behind the scenes they're comfortable and very professional while doing every take of the scenes.
Hoping this will have season 2 in a more mature role to watch Lin Yi and I also like his mesmerizing eyes that catch my attention and his dance moves.
Xu lu is pretty, talented, and she acts naturally..I can say she is a versatile Chinese actress of her generation and knowing she has a supportive family-like her father and mother. Looking forward to her new upcoming drama as well as Lin Yi too.

A simple story for romcom lovers
Before getting into the review I would like to say one thing... This drama might not be an outstanding ine that breaks all the stereotypes and present a Mind-blowing story that you have never expected. But this drama does what it does in a great way.It is simple and done good. The show feels a bit slow in the beginning, but as you watch you start feeling good.
Yes, there are a few bits that gives me cringe, for example the entire big-data thing of the ML feels stupid, like for the people who know, "Changing the iterations" is a textbook step in model evaluation, but they say that they have been struggling for months and the ML has solved this in a single look, and this is suggested when there is a big competetion is going in, so that the ML can get his spot changed. That is unnecessary scene, but the scriptwriters wanted to convey that the ML is super smart. There are many such antics that need to be ignored. But most of them will end in the first half of the story.
Some actions of the ML towards FL can be a bit overboard in the episodes 11-15.
But when you look back, all you need to remember is the romance which the story will convey in a very good way. So, it is still an absolute recommendation, if you feel prepared.

UPSET WE NEVER SEE AN AUDIENCE PERFORMANCE WITH LU JING PLAYING THE VIOLIN AND LIANG CHEN SINGING
This was like Love O2O meets Intense Love, and I was so down for this. Like seriously. Except the FL in Intense Love was way too dramatic and immature at times.Lin Yi fucking brought it in this. PYHOMS has never been very great in my eyes, even though a lot of people like it. I have never liked it that much. So when I found out Lin Yi was starring in this? No reaction. But oh man, he deserved a reaction. This man—seriously fucking brought it. I can't wait to get excited about his next work. I hope it lives up to this.
Lulu Xu's character was actually pretty bad good. Usually, I have a thing or two to say about the FL. Not today! Okay, but she's only like a few years older than Lin Yi. How old is her character? Like the fact that the ML was considered too young all the time? Eh. Twenty-two isn't that young when LuLu Xu is only twenty-six (if her character is also this age).
Ding Jia Yun reminds me of that tool from Midsummer Is Full of Love (2020). That fucking tool that can't feel pain—yeah, that one. Very punchable face type. That's the only reason they remind me of each other... very punchable faces. The make-up team really knew what they were doing.
Yes, this started off pretty slow. But that's the thing about C-dramas, they have really great build-up, so when you actually get to the relationship part, you can clearly see why these people like each other. It doesn't just jump straight into anything.
I can't remember the last time I smiled so much. Thank you. I really needed this after an exhausting and depressing week.
So, that soundtrack.... fucking slaps harder than my Asian mother's slipper after a B on a test.
SOOOOO fucking glad there wasn't a breakup. A little "blip", yeah. But I thought that just added more substance to the story.
Downside: I didn't give a shit about the second couple. Ma Shan Shan and Sun Bin Yu's relationship just didn't hit until like maybe the third to second last episode. And it only hit maybe 50% then too. Rough life. All the really good shows don't have good side romance (just like Love Is Sweet).
Also, the romance. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't go into C-dramas expecting much except from a few lip presses (with zero movement—kill me). Well, let's just say dramas like Love Is Sweet and the majority of this... really upping my expectations. The first two kisses in the drama were kind of... like... please move your lips Lulu Xu? Please. Lin Yi is trying his best! But then the third one and beyond? Fucking great. Lulu Xu—I want to watch more of you in dramas. I hope future C-dramas try to follow this and Love Is Sweet's romance steam. I love innovation!
