pretty much will be.... not happy, not exactly sad ending.... more incomplete to open the door to potential sequel or other future dramas. its common practice in c-drama, makes you crave more if things are left incomplete

Leaving the door open doesn't necessarily mean a season 2.... Could mean leaving the possibility open for both Wang Hedi & Esther Yu to do a second drama together depending on the reception. Since the reviews are high I guess demand for them to do a second drama together will also be high. Incomplete endings push that case better for another project

Plausible... But I'm a happy-ending-drama junky ... I do not like to spend my time watching a drama with sad ending or open ending LOL ^_^

Well, actually now WeTV/Tencend made Miss The Dragon as happy ending after adding the bonus episode as the official final episode (ep 37). I think it was because the power of audience/netizens (with a lot of complaints about the ending).

It's written "comedy" in genre, so let's hope it's happy end :) although I havn't decided for myself yet which one is happy ending : Orchid with Lord Changheng or with DFQC ;)
Orchid with lord changheng how even that is happy ending. In original novel canon demon lord and orchid end up together

Didn’t read the novel so this is a guess but yes? I mean, didn’t she gift him a Orchid plant with her primordial spirit? I thought once the primordial spirit is preserved the spirit can come back. E.g., DFQC’s primordial spirit was scattered but when he regained them he came back (per episode 8). And Cui Di Woman, her primordial spirit was in the mortal realm but when it is recollected she can come back. So why can’t Lanhua even is she were to be killed or dies? Again, I assume she may die based on the trailer but don’t know for sure.
xlh will sacrifices herself at first, then got ressurect by yuezun and become goddess xiyun (this one i quite sure)
